I LOVE the prosciutto sandwich and would eat it every day if I could. The homemade pita is so delicious, I just wish it was consistently toasted. Minor complaint because it tastes so good either way.

Very friendly staff. I love the Atlantic Ave sandwich and smoothies. I eat there several times a week.

I only had an Affogato, which is a espresso with a scoop of ice cream or frozen yogurt. I had the one with yogurt which was very tasty! I still want to try the one with the gelato though, I have a feeling it is going to be even better!

Great sandwiches right in the middle of the financial district! Plus, the staff is wonderful and so cheery.

Their Cape Cod Sandwich is one of the best cold sandwiches I’ve ever had!

Nice café with a perfect location in downtown near the T station. Their famous Italian Piadina is awesome. It’s also a great place for vegetarians and people, who follow gluten free diet. Barista always sweet and polite, she makes the best latte, and cappuccino in this area.

The owner and people working there must have a pecking order of racial preference. Always receiving poor and rude service during each of my visits though the food is excellent. Strange place.

Piadina lunch combo for the win. Their sandwiches are ginormous which is appreciated and in this case, half is plenty of food paired with a small soup. Just enough so you’re happily filled but not so much that you start to ponder where you could make a make-shift sleep pod in your office after lunch. The Larry Bird sandwich doesn’t disappoint enveloped in that thin, slightly crunchy bread with American cheese, turkey, bacon, avocado spread, tomato, chipotle mayo and a sizable heap of mixed greens for a nice nutrient finish. Their vegetarian butternut-apple soup was super flavorful and a great winter choice. I would have preferred that the soup was fully blended though with no chunks at all. Great lunch option with plenty of variety and sizable portions for under $ 10.

Being the HUGE fan of prosciutto that I am, I was very pleased with my lunch choice today. I got the Prosciutto Piadina(no tomatoes and sub Provolone for the Mozz due to lactose intolerance and my hatred for tomatoes on sandwiches) and I AMSOHAPPY. The arugula and basil add a fresh touch to the oil and herb pesto. The sandwich was filling but didn’t leave me feeling to full which is always great. Staff was friendly and warming when I was ordering and had some questions. Also I love that the music is soft and not overwhelming so I could actually think! There are so many other options that I want to explore here and I cannot wait to go back!

A year later and I’m still a big fan of the Prosciutto Piadina. They’ve expanded their menu, including a make your own option, which is nice to see. Service is friendly and fast. And prices on par with the neighborhood.

Love this place and the service is always friendly! I always get the same thing(Larry Bird wrap) and it’s always consistently great. The kitchen manager is also a sweetheart.

Went back for more Amaretto Latte(which they have now compromised to make a permanent drink) and to try their sandwiches. Philly Steak and Roast Beef sandwiches both reeeeeally good. They’re Italian bread had a special spread that made the whole mix wonderful and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The attention was wonderful again, very nice people. I even noticed the cashier was speaking in Spanish so we engaged in some good old Latin American get-to-know-you little chat. When we were heading out my boyfriend said: «Cool, now we have a place in Downtown». And indeed. W e will be coming back every time we can. Again, Unilocal users, do yourselves a favor and go at least for the coffee.

So disappointed in my piadina wrap. It’s not even a wrap, just an exploding sandwich, impossible to eat without a fork. By the time I got back to the office, my «wrap» was a disaster area. And it didn’t even taste all that great either.

I have been here for lunch a couple of times and have had great food there. Love the bread and the prosciutto sandwhich is my fave. But they all have great ingredient choices. Looking forward to next time.

I’ll keep it simple: if you come here, stick to the coffee and don’t order any food. The incompetence of the folks behind the food counter and in the kitchen is truly impressive. I don’t think I’ve ever received what I’ve actually ordered. And, even when it’s not busy, service is painfully slow. No bueno.

First off, I hate it(yes, first world problems) when the online menu omits the prices. I like knowing what I’m getting into. Sure, they show them for their Happy Hour & Sweets, and for Coffee & Beverages, but they’re missing on the all important lunch and breakfast menus. Sure, I’ve passed by here a number of times, so I was totally aware of their existence. But with Boston Kebab House being its close neighbor, it was kind of hard to stop in. So what lured me into this place? A well placed board out front which enticed passersby with offers of a «fresh lobster meat brioche roll, corn salad, chips &20 oz soda for $ 13!» A Friday only special and It’s summer(nearly… not really), so why not? Order at the counter, select your chips(not many choices, just your regular type and sea salt mainly, and maybe I spotted a lone salt & vinegar… boring… I was hoping for sour cream or bbq), your soda(from the refrigerated case, none of that soda fountain stuff here; and they were okay that I preferred water instead), and wait for your name to be called. When it arrived, it was boxed in their taller than a pizza box container, the lobster roll well wrapped, with a tiny condiment container of the chilled corn salad. Too chilled — the corn salad tasted better once I let it sit a bit. The amount was nearly an insult. It is bad enough when places serve cole slaw in these puny things, why not size it up a tad to 4 oz plastic containers, something that you’d be proud to call a side? The sandwich was a nice toasted rich yellow brioche bun, protected from the moisture of the star ingredient by a thin layer of mixed greens. Lobster chunks consisting of mainly of claw and knuckle(a single piece of tail meat was spotted amongst them) lightly dressed and tossed with thin sliced celery that added a nice crunch. Generous enough a portion, and and a pretty good deal for $ 13. 4 stars for the lobster roll meal. I’ll up it to 5 stars if they act on my suggestion about the corn salad. But be careful — it is real lobster meat, and I bit down on a very real piece of hard lobster shell. Their desserts looked tempting. They wisely have them displayed in a glass case by the sidewalk entrance. Piadina’s sandwiches are $ 6.50-$ 9.00. They have a good sized area for those who wish to dine in in relative comfort. PS — I noticed a new sidewalk board the other day advertising ½ price frappes 2 – 5:30pm as a Coffee Happy Hour. Nice! *** 7⁄2014 *** I was the only one there when I ordered my Friday special lobster roll, but somehow this stream of folk who came after got their food before me. Well, at least my cashier noticed me still waiting, and asked the kitchen about it. Pretty quiet here otherwise. Still a good deal for $ 13 even though I had this tiny hard piece of shell to contend with — 2 for 2 on the realities of eating lobster meat. It was pretty filling, even with only 2 oz. of corn salad on the side. A car parked outside reflected the sun into my eyes in the dining room — not too comfy. But most folk just took their food and went, so I guess I was an anomaly. Notes: Cannoli $ 1.25 for a mini, $ 3 for 3… tempting… Almond Milk available for your coffee for a 65 cent charge; soy milk 50 cents, and a shot of flavor for 50 cents. Breakfast(sandwiches) end at 11am. (State Street $ 3.85 egg, bacon, avocado, cheddar, & herb mayo on a bagel sounded lovely) *** 10/28/2014 *** The«hot buffet $ 7.99» sign lured me in for a look-see. Turns out the actuality is a portion of chicken and potatoes, and another of baked ziti, with half a portion of a calzone of some sort. Not exactly what I think of when I see the word buffet. So it is more like a hot entrée, just to set your expectations. You can also swap out one for the pre-packed salad that was also set out on the counter. I sampled their ricotta pie/calzone, and that was nice. PS — Turns out they’ve updated their website, and the menu now shows prices! PPS — Looks like they no longer accept LevelUp. *** 12⁄2014 *** Breakfast is now available all day, and LevelUp is still an accepted form of payment at Piadina. So I ordered the State Street $ 3.99 egg, bacon, avocado, cheddar, & herb mayo on a bagel, added the hashbrown for a buck, and the small(8 oz) clam chowder for $ 2.95. The sandwich was large enough, but I was disappointed to discover that said avocado came as a spread rather than as nice fanned out slices of the fruit. The hashbrowns didn’t make the trip well in the clear plastic clamshell, but was rather soft, and a bit soggy on the bottom from the humidity it created against the smooth plastic. The chowder was tasty and chunky. Though there were more potato than clam, the clams I spied were good sized pieces. It was also hot, but not too hot to dig right in without any need to be careful. Going down to a respectable 3 star rating.

I love this place, and certainly can’t complain about their prices. Food price isn’t about the food, it’s about the location(rent) paying staff good wages, etc. And if you follow a gluten free diet, this place is HEAVEN. The owner is *very* gluten free aware, and has taken the steps to develop his own GF bread recipe for use in the café. If you’re GF for medical reasons, make sure to ask for your sandwich to NOT be toasted as they don’t have a solution or dedicated toaster at this point. If I could eat there every day I would — and the idea of having a GF breakfast sandwich? Oh boy… sign me up! I’ve also had their coffee there, and it is very good.

If the reviewer who had a terrible sandwich at this place didn’t like it she could have spoken to the management(which I have found more than fair) to solver her problem instead of going to Unilocal with a one star review. Not helpful. This new café is an excellent example of some variety in the financial district, I am sick of pizza and Mediterranean food(both tasty but overdone), and the flavors do not disappoint. The sandwiches are delicious(and are a premium product and priced appropriately: $ 8), and the coffees are artisan quality. The service is friendly, the ambiance is fairly bland(but nice) and the owner is always there to greet new guests. The have started to make daily specials which include chips and a drink for about $ 8.50 which I think is more than fair considering the prices around the area. Try it, I think you’ll like it. If you don’t give the new business a fair shake and talk to them about any problems you are having before hitting up a one-star review on Unilocal

I was really excited when this little cozy café opened up in my office building, but unfortunately, food is TERRIBLE. I got the caprese sandwich which was less than satisfying. Bread was barely toasted(a bit soggy) with a slab of pesto, some arugula, and a little piece of mozzarella. Cheese barely existed in my other half of the sandwich, and this sandwich was 9 bucks! The only good thing out of this was that I had 50% off for working in the office. My coworkers got a prociutto di parma and turkey avocado which were both less than mediocre. Everyone else in the company agreed that food was less than average, and definitely not worth the money.
