Ate falafel and lentil soup there and it gave me food poisoning. Spent the afternoon throwing up and with a strong abdominal pain. Got so dehydrated that I had to go to an hospital. Avoid.

This place is my go-​to for a fresh roll-​up after class. It’s a little bit of a walk, but it’s absolutely worth it. Food’s delicious and fresh-​made, prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and started recognizing me way faster than I expected them to.
It’s both a pro and a con, but the restaurant itself is stiflingly hot 365 days a year. In the winter it’s an absolute godsend, but it gets pretty brutal in the summer. Thankfully there’s outdoor seating.

I’ve only ordered delivery from this restaurant. They were prompt, the driver was polite, and the food was still warm. The hummus was delicious, and the vegetables were fresh. The chicken was tender and seasoned. I will definitely order from this place again. The prices were also good.

I agree with most other reviewers that this is a solid place in the area where the options are few. Very tender chicken shawarma, the falafel is also nice and crispy which is different from what I’ve usually had. They actually panini grill their pita rollups which is a great touch.
Cheaper than Whole Foods, healthier than Boston Market. Win!

Mmm… Tabouleh. I basically come here to buy a tub of it to go and eat it with Trader Joe’s black bean & quinoa tortilla chips. Such a good and healthy snack! (not sure about the sodium though) A lot of my coworkers love coming here to buy a large container of hummus and toubeleh to share with the staff.

Flavorful hot ready Mediterranean food! So delicious that I had to make a review after my first visit here.
I have passed this spot many times thinking it is small, in a somewhat dark area, that it would not be good. But oh my am I so wrong! This little shop has juicy meats like beef and chicken, and awesome vegetarian meals like falafal!
Portions are very generous and the only thing I find difficult here are the seatings. Not many available seats here and I found it hard to sit and eat there too since the chairs were super hard to move.
But if you love to eat juicy chicken, get the chicken Shawarma plate for 8 bucks. So good. It comes with this flavorful rice that has this nice smell to it, a side of salad and delicious side dressing. Come and try it out, you will not regret it! Person that helped me was so nice too!

If falafel is your dish, and it is mine, you cannot find better than at Pita! This is falafel par excellence! I would go out of my way for the falafel here. Crunchy on the outside– perfect texture inside. Delicious!
I stopped in for a snack– ordered 5 falafel. I expected only 5 falafel. They came with hummus and tahini too! A little extra love, buh-​Boom! I cannot believe there is falafel this delicious! Get there and check it out!

Food in the area can be overpriced and not very good. This small joint has delicious falafels and a good deal for those who want to pick up a meal for a good deal.
I recommend what I got (and will go back for) — the falafel combo plate.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Their food is delicious and the people there are so nice. They also greet you with a smile and they even recognize me so whenever I’m there they are always very nice to me. I personally love the falafel roll-​up but I’ve also had the chicken shawarma and shawafel roll ups. It is a small place so I’d recommend taking your food to go but there are a handful of seats available to sit.

GREAT service! Mohammed and Sara make this place run and they are AMAZING people. The food is awesome and consistent. Been coming here for years, but only just got time to review. What a place and Im proud to be a regular here.
[My only suggestion for whoever owns the place is to Mix up the Menu with more than just cabbage sauce, for a Chicken Shawarma Cabbage Plate. Maybe add some veggies to the mix. Okra? But the same menu no changes for years? Come on already Moh and Sara can only do so much with the same plate menu (which they make taste awweesssome), but lets mix the menu up after all these years.]

I came here with my friend on a Friday for lunch, after my coworker recommended this place, and I was really pleasantly surprised. With the numerous Mediterranean/​middle eastern restaurants in Boston, I assumed it would be the same as all the others I’ve had. However, it was really the service that set this place apart from all the others.
When we walked in, we were greeted by the guy at the cash register. It wasn’t too busy at the time — there were a few people but not too many. When I ordered, I asked for recommendations and he gave me three: the chicken schwarma, the falafel, and the chilafel (chicken + falafel??) There was another customer there, who suggested the chilafel, so that’s what I got. After ordering, I was looking at the ice cream (naturally drawn to it. jk) and he offered us samples of the ice cream. The samples we had were really good… reminded me of this good Persian ice cream place in Santa Monica, CA. Prices were definitely reasonable for the food we got, and I noticed that a scoop of ice cream was only $ 2 (!!) I’ll definitely be back to have that.
Food was good, service was good too. Only thing lacking is space, but they’ve set up enough bar style seating to maximize the number of people who can sit inside, which is a valiant effort that I commend them for.

This is a great place for a quick grab and go lunch. The ingredients are really fresh, and the price is so affordable. The chicken shawarma roll-​up ($ 6) and chicken/​falafel roll-​up ($ 7) had a crisp exterior (you can get pressed or unpressed), and there was just the right amount of hot sauce and white sauce.

The actual place isn’t super inviting to me personally, not quite as clean in the seating area, so I take it to-​go.

Perfectly fine but not outstanding little takeout spot right across from the Christian Sci complex. I went with the falafel roll-​up with the hot sauce. Nice size portion but I could have used less wrap and more fillings. Although the prices are so low I can’t complain really. Friendly service and a small but clean seating area.
Worth a pop-​in if you’re hungry and in the neighborhood but I wouldn’t call it a destination.

I have tried Chicken Shawarma, and its a delight! little jalapenos in between give you the kick of hotness, plus do not forget to add the spicy sauce! The grape leaves are also delicious, though I stick to shawarma always. The Boston Shawarma’s preparation is completely different than this, the former is more juicy, but this is a bit dry but delicious.
The staff is extremely courteous and friendly, plus are quick at preparing.
Be sure to stop by to have a quick bite!
