Pleasantly surprised. I mean, when the sun sets, all the marketing behind its«baked/handmade fresh, in-house, every day» gets muffled by the immediate presence of a convenience store display of sandwiches, hot wraps, soups, salads and yogurt parfaits. But then I took a bite of my Chicken Caesar & Bacon sandwich($ 8), and that thing was damned delicious. The multigrain baguette has dense chew without the roof-scraping quality of day old; the bird is all white meat, adequately slathered in a creamy dressing and topped with crispy bacon. It’s just… good, as awful as that word may be. Paired with an apple-heavy Green Good Stuff cold press juice drank($ 6), and you’ve got a light and flavorful lunch. How light? 880 clean calories, as signified by the clearly labeled cal counts on each item in the shop. The clincher: melty chocolate chunks in the warm and lightly crisp cookies($ 2). Dayum. Offerings are too limited to warrant habitual lunching, but on the fly and walking by, it’s a better-than-decent option.

Absolutely great service. Also these guys sometimes surprise me with free coffee which makes me pretty happy but more importantly speaks to their character as a food chain.

Pret is a classier Panera. The food is much fresher and more creative than its trashy sandwich and salad making cousin(located across the street) and unlike panera there are healthy options here. The sandwiches are solid but overpriced for the amount of food you get. The spicy shrimp and arugula wrap is simple but the flavors come together well. They also have a vegetarian sandwich with pine nuts that seems bland but is actually tasty, a good combination of cheese and bread and the crunch of the pine nuts elevates it. Be wary of sandwiches with fresh tomatoes as tomatoes are watery and if they’ve been out for a bit they’ll soak thru and make the bread soggy. The sandwiches selection is good but not good enough to get them consistently or make a special trip. The coffee is inconsistent. It ranges from average to bitter and borderline undrinkable. Overall Pret is a solid option if you’re in a rush and are looking for a safe bet in back bay.

Me: «I’ll have these two sandwiches, two chocolate croissants, a gigantic soda, and this extra roll thing» Cashier: [in a bored and skeptical voice] «Is that all?» Me: «…yeah… er… i mean that’s… kind of a lot, don’t you think…» MAYBETHEYCOULDHAVESAID«would you like anything else?» I mean sometimes sentences have DOUBLEMEANINGS. I know, I know, hang ups.

The coffee here is subpar. I ordered a cappuccino and got a latte because their«baristas» are just regular employees tying to figure out how to use the coffee machine. Wifi is slow. Great décor and open space for getting work done, but service and coffee needs work.

15 minutes to make two lattes and I was the only person in line. Glad it wasn’t a busy day. The décor is nice though so it gets two stars.

Love Pret a Manger in general and this one is no exception. Food always tastes fresh. My favorites are probably the chicken burrito, spicy pork burrito, New York meatball burrito(discontinued), and the cold pea soup with mint and coconut(also discontinued). The almond croissants are also pretty good with a nice mix of sweet and nutty. Workers are friendly enough. Lots of seating and bathrooms for customers only(which is fine for me). There’s actually outdoor seating at this location as well. I’m definitely coming back for my burritos. In fact, I think I’m going to buy one right now.

Bathroom had no toilet paper. Cashier couldn’t ring the order out of decaf so they made the espresso version — cold. Had to remake it. Overall just not worth the time or money.

Sandwiches are aight for UK pre-made simple sandwiches. My favorite thing to get is the filling and delicious muesli with yogurt, granola, pomegranate seeds, apple, and pistachios.

Pret’s a fine sandwich shop. Honestly, their egg breakfast sandwiches are my secret weakness. I don’t want to think about how many I’ve eaten. Their staff is friendly and well trained. Their food is worthwhile, though it seems to vary on who’s working as to whether they’re packed or skimped on. I consider them a high end fast food place for sandwiches. A better subway. Plus, if you’re lucky, they’ll just tell you it’s on the house and send you on your way. It’s only happened to me once, but it’d been a day I needed it, and that’s all it takes for me to love a place. I’m pretty easy.

Normally quick, tasty and reliable, today you have left me picking through an overpriced salad and a mouth of muck. Not appreciated.

A great place to grab sandwiches/salads while you’re on the go. Everything is neatly packaged and made day of… if you’re the type of person that likes fresh ingredients, this is the place for you. Btw, Pret A Manger is fun to mispronounce. Also, the potato chips are super salty! It made my lips feel like they’re all wrinkled up, as if I’ve taken too long of a shower… haha. I’d come back here if I’m looking for something quick or to go!

Not sure if they still have it, but the Hungarian mushroom soup at this chain was absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite foods. The hot buffalo chicken wrap/sandwich was also quite delicious.

Fast, easy, and has healthy options for breakfast. Seating area was clean and it was a nice way to start out the early morning. I had the 5 grain oatmeal and a croissant almond. Both were delicious and made fresh.

Super clean, well stocked with tons of options including hot and cold items, large dining space(though I have been in many times during busy hrs where it’s tough to find a seat. depends on the hr). just generally a fan of Pret. They do it right! Plus, they have calorie counts on everything which makes all the difference!

Great place to stop for a coffee that is next to the shopping area. It helps that they have a restroom too and plenty of space to sit and rest with a up of coffee after walking around for hours. They mainly sell soups, sandwiches, salads and snacks, so a great place for on the go. Its not a super fancy place but solid rest and lunch spot.

This is my go to place when I am having one of those«what do I want to eat for lunch» days. I have actually walked in and out of here on one lunch session before thinking I will find something better down the street. I usually come back and get the Cheddar & Tomato Sandwich and the Salt & Vinegar chips. The tuna salad used to be my go to thing but why are they putting black beans with tuna? SICK! Bring back the other one please!!! I am also so happy their bags of chips say 1 serving because who lies to themselves and thinks 2 people can eat those small bags of chips? Not me. Ever. On a side note… this is where I learned Miso soup has over 1000mg of sodium when I read it up on the wall while paying… that was disturbing and sad to me. No wonder my ankles swell up after having a hot cup of that.

Good for a grab and go lunch/coffee/cookie etc. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but it’s worth it because you can walk in and out within 5 min! And, it’s healthy. I wish you had the option of taking napkins yourself. they tend to give only 1 or 2 per sandwhich.
