I came here because every moderately priced restaurant had a 2 hour wait. The wine list here is mediocre, but the food was fantastic. We had 3 dishes and shared. I remember the Ravioli de Uovo being my favorite of the 3. $$$ accurately describes what you’ll be paying, especially if you order wine.

Table for 12 please and we are off. Seated at the front window on Fleet we get to look out onto the busy side street as we gather for our first Prezza dinner with family and friends just before Christmas. We are a raucous group of hungry and thirsty revelers this merry season of 2015. The appetizers ranged from crispy shrimp(very large and crispy with the head on as they should be cooked), meatball so perfect, tuna tartar, various pastas and a salad here and there. Quickly served by the fine waitstaff and a Twoney Sauvignon Blanc along with Hourglass 2012 Cabernet. Both great selections as we moved forward with grilled veal chop cooked perfectly medium rare, the overly large and moist fried pork chop, seafood stew, mushroom risotto and swordfish. It was hearty Italian food, perfectly prepared and executed. Desserts were a variety of offerings that topped the night off to an extreme. Chef Caturano was on hand and greeted us a couple of times to see how we were doing. Can’t wait for his new venture in Gloucester to open to be named as Tonno! The chef is an avid angler who is super accomplished in Giant Tuna catchin’. Be back soon chef.

Ehh Unilocal sums this one up – a-ok. If you have mediocre standards when it comes to Italian food, you will be a happy camper here, otherwise, I would pass. I went here with a group of around 10 people during the week. Service was excellent throughout the night, very quick, accommodating and attentive which was fantastic. We started with the grilled octopus which was okay — the octopus was still a bit slimy and hadn’t been seared on a hot enough grill and there was little accompanying this dish though it was listed with braised white beans and toasted parsley. The crispy shrimp was quite good-enormous head-on shrimp with a flavorful italian slaw that added a nice brightness. For the main, I had their pumpkin ravioli which were extremely small raviolis and lacked filling and flavor. It was like a eating a semi-gummy pasta that wasn’t executed well given how droopy it was. Other’s tried their chicken and swordfish dishes and all felt that everything was okay but to be honest, no one was particularly impressed by the quality nor ingredient combinations. Wine selection had nice variety and their cocktails were enjoyed by everyone. I wouldn’t return – wasn’t worth the first pass.

Sumptuous menu selection, no issues with substituting. Wonderful ambiance. The hosts were cordial, the wait staff was very attentive to the table, and the food was delicious. With so many restaurants to choose from on the North End, this was a gem!

5 star service. 5 star wine list. 5 star food. It’s our go to restaurant when my father in law is in town and I’m not complaining. The group favorite is the chicken. I’m not normally a huge chicken fan, but this is cooked to perfection with a nice crispy skin. For apps, the meatballs are a clear winner. In the north end there are many many choices for dinner, but if you are looking for a special place to bring a date, impress a client, or spend time with your I laws, Prezza is a clear winner.

Hey, this would be a 4+ star place, if you and your knuckle-heades friends didn’t bring so many loud mouth, drunken, blow hards on an expense account. Just sayin’

Damn everywhere is pack in Boston, at least 3 hours wait in most of the restaurants here. Finally we settle for this one to wait on a bar seat. Learned our lesson to make reservations next time. Now I know why people are willing to wait in line for so many hours in the cold outside. The food here in Boston is excellent! Very flavorful and fresh! So delicious. Drinks and food

We ordered the pear ravioli with rabbit in butter sauce, mushroom risotto, wood grilled octopus in tomato sauce, and a side of white beans in olive oil and arugula. The food was perfectly prepared and so flavorful, especially the pear ravioli — the brightness of the pear paired perfectly with the richness of the meat and butter. So why only 2 stars you ask? Yes the food is a solid 4 stars no doubt, but the service was terrible for a restaurant at this price point. A woman who brought by the dishes was curt and unfriendly. Not a smile or an introduction when she served the plates, and at point even used a plate that she is trying to serve to shove the little bread plate out of way. There was a little thump when she laid down the plates because she likely dropped the plates last half a centimeter to the table rather than laying it all the way down on the table, gently. The menu specifically said they are happy to serve the food«family style». All of the food we ordered were appetizers, half order, and side, so naturally we wanted to share them as small plates. When the waiter told us he was going to split the risotto for us, we gently declined but he said«we will split it for you so that we have space to serve the ravioli at the same time». ok. then when the split plate risotto and the single plate of ravioli came, we had three giant plate on our two person table, each was half full. Totally unnecessary and not exactly how we wanted to be served. Since when does the waiter’s idea of service trumped that of the patron? I don’t get it. Anyways food was great and memorable, but the service was not good enough for us to want to return for the pretty high price you pay.

The other evening after attending a concert in town with friends we stopped into Prezza for dinner. Outstanding is the word to describe the dinner we ate. We started off with martini recommendations from our waiter. For appetizers we had zucchini flowers, grilled clams, wild mushroom risotto, and gnocchi. The homemade gnocchi was to die for! We ordered the scallops and veal porterhouse for entrées. The dinner was superb, one of the best in Boston. The inside is dark and warm definitely a place for a romantic evening.

When we asked about the North End from locals they said almost every place is good. If Prezza is an example of that, I could die eating my way through the North End. On business stopped in with my marketing team. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Place is a little tight but not too bad. Very nice wine selection, hand made pastas, great rustic flavors. My appetizer had grilled Octopus that was just amazingly tender. It was the best I have had and was grilled nice and smokey. Had a pasta rags dish with lobster and a slightly spicy tomato sauce. Hello kitty. Good stuff. Very nice service. Reasonably priced bottle of Amarone to wash things down. I would go back here in a heartbeat and work my way down the menu.

Great location and great food! The only downside was that the maitre d’ seemed to be a little rude. Sit outside, it is a great way to enjoy the breeze and people watch.

Excellent service. Don was very attentive. The food was very nice though the portion was very small for the price. I had the ricotta ravioli(which consisted of maybe 10 very small, bite-sized ravioli) and a glass of dry rose. My table split the dessert sampler which consisted of flourless chocolate cake, tiramisu, bread pudding, and an assortment of biscotti and pizelles. The bread pudding was the best out of all of them. Prezza, please reconsider your entrée portion.

A refreshing change from the Hanover Street restaurants. It’s has a comfortable atmosphere and is quiet. The service was attentive but not overbearing. And the food rivaled or exceeded anywhere I’ve been in the North End. I’m definitely looking forward to returning.

We had an excellent experience at Prezza. The service was phenomenal. Our server, Don, was extremely knowledgeable about both the food and wine. He was personable, efficient, and highly professional. There was a minor issue with one of our dishes, which he handled extraordinarily well.(There will always be hiccups in even the best of restaurants — how well they handle those hiccups is the hallmark of a great restaurant, in my opinion). * 5 stars for service * 5 stars for the crispy shrimp, which are massive! Three shrimp weigh ½ a pound! Cooked to perfection — highly recommend * 4 stars for their gem salad — very delicious. The soppressata was excellent and it all worked well together. As good as a salad can be * 3.5 — 4 stars for their pastas. The ones we tried were tasty but not particularly memorable(tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and speck, tagliatelle a la Bolognese) Their wine selection exceeded expectations. Really delicious and reasonably priced. Ambience was also quite nice. The restaurant is surprisingly large and modern inside. It was busy but not too loud. Good for dates, small groups, or business dinners. I would come back again just for the crispy shrimp, wine, and service!

I had a fantastic dinner at Prezza in the North End enjoying the Soft shell crabs, figs wrapped in prosciutto stuffed with Gorgonzola and aged balsamic and the Grilled Swordfish with crispy polenta. Our waiter made an excellent recommendation to pair our dishes with a delicious 2012 Parducci #PinotNoir. Excellent service and romantic but lively ambiance.

I had the Ravioli de Ulna’, I think it’s called. It’s a a ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and an egg yolk. One comes with the order but you can order two if you’d like. I liked it, but didn’t live it. It had an interesting texture with the yolk and ricotta and ravioli. The service wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing. This is a solid 3 star meal.

The food was«good», not impressive and definitely not great — especially for the hefty price tag. And when your meal is that expensive, there should be sides that come with it for free. I shouldn’t have to pay an extra $ 10 for a vegetable. There are absolutely a whole bunch of better options available in the North End where you can spend less money.

Upsettingly bad and at one point downright rude service. The food is pretty good here. The service is not. I’ll keep it brief but we really got the impression that they were trying to get us in and out as fast as possible. The waitress said we should get our order in fast because the kitchen was busy, so we did, but then the apps came before our cocktails. The waitress was not knowledgable about the wine list so she sent the«wine guy» over. When we asked a few questions about the wines by the glass he got irritated, threw his hands up and said«you’re on your own» and tried to leave the table. I had to ask him to stay to help recommend a wine. That was crazy, especially since the prices for wine and food are pretty high here. There are many restaurants in the north end and around the city where the food and drinks are good and the staff is helpful and pleasant. No way I’ll be back.

My mom was in town from Turkey and I wanted to show her the North End. The food pictures looked really good on Unilocal and they took reservations online so we went for it. Highlights: — the crispy shrimp was amazing. Unique dish executed really well. — the tuna crudo was so fresh and clean tasting. Lovely. — i got a custom pasta, tagliatelle bolognese with some red pepper flakes. The pasta was a bit thick, but was tasty. — the server gave us a great recommendation for wine. The Justin cabarnet from napa. Best buy at $ 48 conpared to other options. Cons: — the person greeting us at the door was chewing gum and had a bit of a snobby attitude. Oh well. Overall was a great experience!

A rainy evening for dinner in the North End with my big brother from another mother before touring MIT. Reservations were made, valet parking available in a lot across the street from the restaurant. Great atmosphere, elegant décor, not too loud, attentive waiter. He probably thought we were on a date and kept offering wine or something to share. We were fine with still water, thanks much. I started with the burrata, I had a fish dish(couldn’t get away from seafood cravings), and we shared a tiramisu… so rich we had to take breaks and put the spoons down! The waiter was afraid we stopped eating it because we didn’t like it, but we loved it actually! It really was a very pleasant dining experience, a modern feel and great taste of the North End.

Einfach mal entlangschlendern.
