I’ve worked with four different contractors in Boston and Dave is by far the best. His contracting work is top notch, he has excellent taste in design and materials, he shows up on time and gets the work done when he says he will for the price negotiated. Dave approaches the job like a friendly neighbor who wants his fellow neighbor to be happy with the result. He also voluntarily added other services for free while working on our unit. Highly recommended!

Dave and his crew took a 1978, old, worn, leaky, and generally crappy, bathroom and transformed it (for a reasonable cost) into a very, very nice 2015 bathroom that I am proud to have anyone see.
Getting reliable contractors to the South End is always a challenge, but I would hire this company to do just about anything. In fact, they will be repairing water damage from last winter that the insurance finally came through for.
I trust and recommend Proforma Design/​Build very highly and rate them 5 stars.

We have used Proforma for a number of projects for a condo in the South End, all with excellent results. Dave is timely in responding to the initial request for a quote and punctual in performing the work and getting it done. He’s also very aware of other factors (we have two young kids and a dog) that affects the ultimate outcome of the project and how it’s done. I highly recommend Dave and his crew for projects in the South End.

Any work in your home can be stressful. The proforma team makes everything as easy as it can be. Dave has a great eye for design and is a pleasure to work with. His team is courteous and very experienced. We worked with them to completely renovate our kitchen and bathrooms and couldn’t be happier with the result. The quality of their work is second to none. I highly recommend proforma for any job you may have.

I’ve used Proforma for three projects with superb results. In one instance, a bathroom renovation, I actually had to stop using two other companies before Proforma came to the rescue. When David came in, he was able to fix up all the mistakes made by the others, as well as, complete the project.
In another case, I had a washing machine dropped off, and the appliance company couldn’t install the machine. David came over that same day, fixed the issue, and installed the appliance.
I’ve tried various other companies, and Proforma has been, by far, the best out of all of them. They are definitely the go to design/​building/​contracting company in Boston.

I have had two extremely good experiences with Pro Forma. First a complete remodeling of our first floor kitchen and living area and second an addition to our townhouse roof deck. Not only were both delivered with high quality and on time, but you could see the interest and pride in doing extraordinary work. So being new to Boston I was referred to David by a local RE professional. Great decision. David was able to take on the (minor remodeling) we needed and do it efficiently, creatively, timely, economically and professionally. I literally provided him with photos of bathrooms, paint colors and granite descriptions and he took it from there. The condo looks amazing and updated. When I was in doubt about a fixture David had some great recommendations and even made some asthetic improvements I never even though of! The quality of their work is exceptional and they were very time efficient!
