Amy is fantastic. From the typical back knots (poor posture + all-​day desk work) to bigger issues, I can always count on Amy to relieve my tension. A couple years ago I had a terrible forearm pain for 1 – 2 months (no acute trauma) and an orthopedist recommended I wear a wrist brace for a couple weeks. Dubious but willing to try anything, I wore it around for a couple days. But upon showing up to see Amy for my standard back tension, she (rightfully) questioned the diagnosis and went to work on my forearm and accompanying muscles. Within 2 – 3 days all the pain had subsided!

Amy is just amazing. I would highly recommend her if you are in and around this area. She’s really really helpful in working the knots in my back, tight hamstrings, and neck. I felt so good after couple of massages. I’m a runner and I have tried sooo many places and been to couple of chiropractors for IT band issues and other injuries. But this place is far better than anything else in town. She’s not only helpful in relieving my pain but also suggested some stretches and exercise routines. Definitely worth every penny. BTW Amy doesn’t take any tips (No tipping policy). A very professional and knowledgeable person.

Amazing! Amy listened to where I needed her to focus on and she worked out the knots in my back and neck. All other massages I have had at spas pale in comparison. Those massages were nice but Amy really helped relieve the tension in my back. I will definitely be going back. I just wish I had found her sooner!

Great massage! Just moved to Boston, found Amy right here on Unilocal.As one who has had many, many massages, I can tell you without hesitation that the massage that you get at Restore Total Body will be one of your very best. In my case, I had a targeted issue that needed attention (my shoulders and golfer’s elbow) and Amy brought a level of expertise and skill to the problem, not your same old same old. Plus, after the massage, Amy demonstrated a number of exercises and stretches to help maintain the flexibility in my shoulders. So, if you want the normal deep tissue massage, Amy can do, no problem. But if you have a specific injury that needs attention, you can’t go to just anyone … you need to come here. Easy to book an appointment too with the web application.

Amy must be magic! My shoulder and neck pains are gone. Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Amy at Restore Total Body. As a runner, I came to her looking for help with shin splints. Her being a runner herself made all the difference and it was incredible to talk to someone who knew exactly what I was going through. She was unbelievably attentive and really cared about getting me up and running (no pun intended) again. After my first sports massage, I was feeling a lot better and used all the tools she provided me with for muscle care in between visits. I’m looking forward to designating Amy as the only person I will now go to for my sports massage. She’s incredible!

Great place. Very attentive to your needs and preferences. I’ve been to too many places that seem to ask what you want only as a matter of protocol. I was looking for professional advice on how to stay in the game and quiet some repetitive muscular injuries. Nothing mystical, but sound advice and a few web based resources to keep me on track. We’ll see how it turns out but I’m optimistic.

Amy provided a terrific deep tissue massage. She was responsive to what I told her I was looking for. Unlike some places, she didn’t encourage leaving a tip, in fact quite the opposite. Convenient downtown location for those who are in the area. 5 stars!

I am a runner, so when I come in for a massage I need someone who understands the problem areas for a runner and how to correct them. I had never had massage therapy before so I really didn’t know what to tell Amy. .. I just said my legs were sore! The best thing about Amy is she is also an athlete, so she understands from both a masseuse’s and a runners point of view. She was able to tell where my trouble spot were just by working on my legs. She told me what muscles were the tightest, gave me stretches to use at home, and even gave me exercises to help with imbalances in my body. I will absolutely be going back!

I bought the deal on Buywithme for a massage from Amy at Restore. I haven’t had one in a while and I was in desperate need of a massage. She was amazing. I told her ahead of time the issues that I was having and she focused on those areas to help alleviate the pain. She also gave me tips on how to massage the areas that were tight when I was on my own. The only downside would be the hours, but I can find a way to work around that. I’ll be back to see Amy soon!

As I’ve probably said in other posts I’m a bit of a massage junkie. So when I check out a new place I have a lot to compare it to. I’ve got a package at Bodyworker (I’m a sucker for a good deal!) but will be back here at some point. Mostly I was impressed that Amy did exactly what I asked for. I’m usually pretty vocal — I tell therapists what’s bothering me — and sometimes they listen a little but stick mostly to their usual routine or maybe they don’t know exactly how to help me. Some don’t use enough pressure or are afraid to touch your sore parts. This was perfect. When I filled out the preliminary paperwork I was actually annoyed because it was substantial (a few pages) and most of the time you fill that stuff out and the therapist does nothing with it but I think she read everything.

Amy is awesome. She helped me get back on my feet after a nasty bout with plantar fascitis and I wish I could go see her every week, still. Sadly, my current economic situation doesn’t allow for that. I’ll be back when I can, Amy!

I started treatments with Amy over a year ago when I was training for my first marathon. Amy is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and tailored each individual treatment session to what was bothering me that particular week. In addition to stimulating aching muscles, Amy always gives great advice on stretching techniques and injury prevention measures. I would not have made it through my first marathon without Amy, and thanks to her, I will be continuing an active, athletic lifestyle.

Amy saves my life on a weekly basis. Her expertise in connective tissue, structural integration and the neck in general is impressive.
