I was beyond nervous about having needles stuck in me! Seriously. My mother had it done and raved about it. My best friend had it done and raved about it. In fact, anyone I knew who had it done, raved about it. But I was petrified. I went for sciatic pain and muscle problems, due to running. I had gotten to the point that it hurt too much to run. Nothing I tried previously had any lasting results(sports massage, physical therapy, sports chiropractor etc.) although many offered temporary relief. I was close to giving up but decided to give it one last shot with Acupuncture. It worked! Seriously, I am not sure how or why but my pain is gone. I also have increased flexibility. Not that the acupuncture made me more flexible, but it definitely loosened the chronic knots and strains in my muscles so now I can get a better stretch(and eliminate future pain). Aside from the basic results, I know for a fact that acupuncture has helped me with a slew of other things too. — I’m less anxious — I’m sleeping better — I am more inclined to listen to my body and to stop eating when I’m full — My sinus pressure is alleviated — My digestion has improved — And now I’m a C cup!(Okay, that one isn’t true) If you’re nervous, don’t be. Go and see Sarah. She’s amazing and she knows her stuff. She’s calm and patient too. I’ve been going weekly and am actually a little sad that I’ll be tapering down my visits now that my problem is resolved. I told her not to be surprised if I make up new ones. PS — I’ll say it, although you won’t believe me until you try it yourself, it really doesn’t hurt.
