Wow, I’ve been with soniccrap since 2010. Not one well organized or paying show. I’m looking forward to the new opportunities when I close this door.

Overall not a good value or service worth paying for based on my experience.

Ditto to everything that’s been said. Just wanted to add my two cents here and stand behind those who rate this as one of the poorest scamming services in the music industry.

If I could give them no stars, I would. I’ve been a paying customer for about 3 years. I used the EPK service frequently and even got (maybe) three bookings in all that time. I get over 100 shows a year on my own, just to put this in context. I bailed on Sonicbids once I finally caught on that submitting to «opportunities» is a scam. I recently tried to come back, just to get my EPK (I should have kept a copy, I know). They assured me the EPK would still be there. It’s not, and I can’t even rebuild an EPK because I can’t add or change any information on the site. They don’t answer tech help requests, and they haven’t responded to my refund request. I’m disputing the charge through my credit card company. I’d love to see a hotshot law firm go after them with a class action suit. I’d sign on, even if it meant getting $ 2 out of the settlement. These people are either incompetent or evil.

I was a paying customer for over 10 years. I mainly used them for their EPK and the calendar (which I had embedded in my own website). I never went for the «pay to apply» for «opportunities» which always seemed like a scam to me. I feel sorry for people who fell for that because generally if promoters are going to book you, they most likely already KNOW who you are. Of course the press-​kit helps them sell it to the board or the powers that be above them, and the OLD Sonicbids press-​kit had a nice consistent look and was easily printable.
So what went wrong? Well, a year ago the founder Panos Panay sold the company to Billboard. He stayed on until November, but within weeks after he left, Sonicbids launched one of the WORST site updates on record WITHOUT NOTIFYING ANY OF THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS (they claim to have sent out an email about this, but if you read the comments on their facebook «fan» page, it’s obvious that NOBODY received this email.
So right before our busiest season and heading into an important booking cycle that effects our income as musicians for at least a year to come, we have NO usable EPK and NO calendar on our website. And they continue to bill users accounts (while not responding to emails and their phone is disconnected).
Besides giving us no notice about this «new improved» site they were going to launch, Sonicbids won’t give us back OUR calendar data that we’ve been entering on their site for years (I had 10 years of gig history on that calendar!).
Sonicbids has sadly become a ZERO STAR company.

Sonic bids took money from me for a contest I could not enter because my song could not and did not upload to their EPK… I emailed and called them several times way prior to the deadline for the contest to get assistance or refund. instead I get a email saying the promoter had turned me down, including a fake note from the suppossed promoter… after finally getting an agent (I wont mention the name) at Sonicbids on the phone he acknowledged the song had not uploaded and there was no way any promoter listened to the song and that the bogus email from them was not Ok and they would refund my money…3 weeks later I gat another email from him saying, sorry we cannot offer you a refund at this time… Sonicbids taking payment for services not rendered, even after committing to a refund since they were so wrong.

I just canceled my account. They asked me why and this was my reply.
Promoters never listen to my music, watch my videos and rarely look at my epk. They just take the submission fee, send out a generic «sorry you were not selected» message, then run. Complete rip off bull shit. On top of that I have to pay a subscription fee? I’m moving to reverb nation. They provide opportunities, a mailing list /​email service and epk!!! All over a better deal even if it is more expensive. Good luck ripping artists /​bands off. I’m sure you won’t be able to get away with it for long.

Ok sonic bids is a website to give artist oppertunities to get their music heard and book ligetimate gigs.
ive been a member for quite some time with them as i thought this was an indusrty standard.
what made me finanlly come here to post a review is that they disconected my account then made is so i couldnt re activate my account.
i thought that was really messed up as i had spent thousands of dollar submitting to «gig’s» and wouldnt you know, when they disconected my account i got many responses saying that i was chosen for a gig. though i have met some profesinals on sonicbids. it doesnt make up for all of the sillyness ive been through with them. and i would like to thank the first reveiwer bc she is right their are other alternitaves out there and this is based on being a scam. ive had alot of negitiave exps on here.
there is also another site you might want to check out too. i will come back and update it to let you know what it is. lol
but this is based on a scam if you are an artist whos already booking gigs theres no reason to join this site :-)

I doubt if many aspiring musicians will check Unilocal before signing up with Sonicbids, but just in case:

If you need an electronic press kit, there are superior versions out there now. Try:
Sonicbids is in the game of collecting upfront fees for a variety of «pay to play» schemes. Admittedly, there are a few bona fide opportunities, but there are a TREMENDOUS number of scammers who sign up as «promoters» with this site – who will collect your hard earned cash… and that’s the last you will see of them!
Although Sonicbids collects HALF of the submission monies, they refuse to accept any responsibility for the many scams on their site – and basically refuse to assist anyone who tries to track down a promoter and/​or try to get their money back.
It is really too bad – this could be a happening idea, but SB is too busy cashing the checks to care.
