One of the largest parks in Boston. Has a playground, baseball field, basketball courts, open field, and woods with trails for a nice 15 minute loop walk. From the highest point in the winter you can see the pru and a beautiful sunrise or sunset!

The Stanley Ringer playground is the local Allston Village playground, little league location, general nature-place in an otherwise very urban neighborhood. It’s attached to the Jackson Mann school, so it’s full of kids during school hours, but on the weekends and after school, it’s a more mixed crowd. This is a solid park: the city of Boston managed to cram all the ‘parky’ things one could do into one relatively small place. Baseball, basketball, places to stroll aimlessly, a hill big enough to sled down, and an open field big enough for frisbee or, in my case, to re-enact scenes from Ong Bak with my brother. It’s cool to have so many opportunities to do outdoorsy things in one park. There are also swings, and I just about lose my damn mind when there are swings. Take the Ringer playground out of Allston and honestly, it’s a nice but not amazing park. The reason I like it so much is that Allston doesn’t really have a whole lot of green space in it, and the Ringer playground does a pretty solid job of being every type of park neighborhood residents need in one accessible package.
