I am on my way back there now. I purchased two new tires yesterday and when I got home I noticed that only one tire had been replaced. This is not the first time Sullivan Tire has been shady. A few years ago I purchased new tires only to have one go flat in a week while I was away. The auto mechanic I brought it to told me I was sold a patched tire. This is ridiculous.

This shop was late and inconsiderate of our time and did not complete the job they agreed to do. They started work on my car 2 hours after the appointment was scheduled. They stripped 2 tire keys and then informed me they could not change my tires. Not only do I not have new tires, the folks at Sullivan tire were extremely rude and did not seem to care about honoring my appointment.

If you are looking for a local mechanic whom you can trust 100% and treat you like family, then don’t think twice about coming to Sullivan. I have been nothing short of amazed by the customer service, friendliness, and honesty of these guys. Every time I leave I am just truly impressed and I can’t say enough good things about this business.

I always come here for my oil change and tires issues, they are always very friendly and do a good job, but last time I was there for service, it didn’t go as well, so I came back, talked to the manager, Ritchie, and he was very nice and understanding, even went the extra mile to fix the problem and made sure I was satisfied customer, which I am. Thank you Ritchie, being able to take responsibility for something and make it right, even though is not 100% proven that you are at fault is always good for business, that’s why I give you 5 stars and let other people know.

Well at first I was unhappy with a problem they fixed. The next thing you know, I got a call from the manager, Richie, who offered to make it right by me. He was truly interested in the problem and was obviously already working out a fix in his head so it wouldn’t be a problem in the future. Thanks. See you soon.

Willie walked me out to my car today to explain why my tires needed to be replaced. He also showed me the computer screen as he looked up what could be the cheapest option for me as money is tight right now. I really appreciate that he showed me all these options without being condescending — he’s very helpful and I’d come here again.

Recently got new tires at this Sullivan Tire location after two previous visits in the past also.
Always have a lot of staff on hand, which is great for a place like this, since they don’t set up appointments/​scheduled visits.
I’ve interacted with a few people here and they’re always friendly & fast. Typically hate going to garages/​mechanics/​anything to do with cars but I always feel comfortable at Sullivan!
(Also in a good location to pass time while you wait for your car!)

I recently got a flat tire and decided to have my car towed here as it was the closest tire and auto service location at the time. Before I had the tow company bring my car over, I called to verify that they had the tire I needed and would be able to put it on that day, as it was already 4:20 and they closed at 5. The gentleman I spoke with verified that they had the tire, but weren’t sure if they would be able to also put it on before they closed for the day, as they had a few cars ahead of me, but assured me that I could leave my car and they would service it first thing in the morning when they opened at 10:00 am the next day. I explained that I had to be in CT the very next day AT 10 am, and was about to say «thanks but no thanks» when the rep told me to just get my car there before 5 and they would see what they could do. With traffic I ended up walking into Sullivan Tire at 4:58 pm. They held true to their word and put on my new tire, and didn’t even mention me strolling in so close to when they were supposed to close. I was out of there with my new tire before 5:30. Every person working there that day were very kind and courteous to me as well. I can’t see how the customer service could have been any better. This is my new tire place for life. Thanks again!

Do not take your car here. I am shocked this place has any kind reviews and I regret not doing more research to find an honest repair shop.
I bought 2 new front tires here a few weeks ago — this was my first mistake. After the sales guy spent 5 minutes trying to up sell me on tires I did not want, he finally gave up and got my car into the shop with the tires I wanted. Over the past few weeks, my car has been vibrating more than it should so I brought it back to make sure the tires were balanced. I wait 4 hours before they even look at my car and am told the balance is fine but I need a new ball joint and alignment for 400 $ to fix the vibration — 2 more hours and my car is ready to go. I head to work the following day and no difference in my car as my steering wheel is visibly shaking while driving on the highway. Annoyed with the run around and a car that is still not fixed, I take my car to Chevy and they diagnose the problem as a broken motor mount and need to order a part to repair it later in the week. As a consumer feeling used at this point and out 400 $ for a misdiagnosed and unneeded part, I give Sullivan tire another chance to fix my car hoping their is someone at this shop who cares about providing quality service to it’s patrons. Again, I wait 3 hours after having a set appointment and am told my tires were all unbalanced causing the vibration. Dumbfounded at this comment, as this was my concern when I brought my car here initially, I was told their machine was probably broken that day. I laugh at this remark as my car clearly wasn’t checked for unbalanced tires the first time around. Annoyed with the incompetence of this shop and money hungry services they provide, I mention taking my car to Chevy and the broken motor mount and why wasn’t this addressed at my 2 trips to Sullivan, the 8 hours I waited and 400 $ I paid to not correctly fix my car. The sales guy, now on the defense, tells me the ball joint on my car is a safety issue and needed to be fixed, I laugh and again, mention the negligence to miss a broken motor mount for a vibratory problem. He then hands me a sheet with 800 $ of additional repairs I ‘definitely’ need due to the safety concerns — Chevy confirmed I needed none of it. As I’m waiting for my car to be taken off the lift, the salesman tries once more to make a buck off me by telling me how Chevy is going to cost me a ton of money to fix the mount and quotes me a 250 $ repair for the motor mount replacement. I explain that Chevy quoted 180 $ and he counters with 150 $ for the repair because he forgot they have another place they can get the part for cheaper, I laugh again as the salesman prints me off another paper with parts to repair my car. Bottom line, This place is a joke.
They take advantage of customers, make unneeded and costly repairs and have no remorse. You are a paycheck to them. Run far away from this shop — anywhere is better than Sullivan Tire.

I had a disappointing experience with Sullivan today. I brought the car in by 8:30am to see about fixing a flat. Richie was accommodating and took the wheel into the shop to fill up with air in order to determine where the leak was. Clear as day and so it was confirmed that it could not be patched due to the location. The tires I wanted (Yokohama and one other brand) were not in stock and they apparently couldn’t get them today. They therefore recommended Atrezzo tires. I ended up having them put four of them on the vehicle as they were the only option they could get today (the car in question is a Subaru Legacy). I was told the car would be ready by 3pm, including the requested oil change. I was also told they would call me if they determined an alignment was recommended or necessary. I told Richie I would come back after work; around 5:15pm.
I showed up at 5:15pm when I was told by the assistant manager that they hadn’t even looked at the car yet. I was pissed. I was told that it would likely be 60 – 90 minutes to do the job. They managed to complete the job by 6:25pm and included the oil change and alignment for free. Richie also informed me in the morning that if I was not happy overall with the performance of the Atrezzo tires, that I could return the vehicle and the full value of the tires would be put toward the purchase of another tire within 30 days.
Not an acceptable experience overall but they did comp some service.

Went to Sullivan to get tires recently. It was a smooth a and painless experience from start to finish. They even dropped me off and picked me up in their free shuttle. The first all season tires I received didn’t ride as smooth as I wanted and were slightly noisy. Without hesitation, Sullivan offered to replace the tires with a slightly softer all season tire of my choice. They didn’t even charge for reinstalling the tires! Even better, Sullivan didn’t recommend unneeded work on my car while it was there. Hopefully the tires last and I won’t be back anytime soon, but I will return for future tire needs.

Well, these guys are awesome. I decided to bolt on my snow tires myself but the weather only allowed me to do 2. Long story short these guys not only bolted on the other two tires for a nominal fee, they also corrected the two tires that I had installed incorrectly for free. Quick, easy and friendly service

Just bought a sweet new whip, but the tires were a little small. Not inappropriate small, like they worked, but they just didn’t have that giant aggressive fuel efficiency killing knobby look I needed.
So after some hardcore internet work, I found the set of tires that I knew would fulfill my sick need of external validation and had them mailed to my house. Immediately, I took a bunch of instagrams and snap chats with the subtitles «new tires lol» and «new skins for the whip– look out»
After the initial photo shoot I realized I had better get those skins on my ride. Now, I’m a pretty mechanically talented guy, my Instagram and snapchat followers know this. Tons of picks of me changing my oil and flexing or washing my car and flexing, but tires… not my game. So I figured id take it to the pros.
That’s where Sullivan came in to play. Drove on over and walked in. They gave me a quote of $ 25 a tire. Seemed reasonable considering I just spent a months pay on tires with the prime motivation being a slew of social media «likes»
Left my car, went over to Raisin Caines to eat some chicken fingers. My god. What bodacious fingers. Premium.
Came back, snapped a few photos of my car up on the rack. Wow it looked good.
Pulling out of the lot I felt that crazy vibration and hum that I was longing for. That’s when I knew. I knew I had made the right purchase. I pulled over at the nearest CVS and started snapping grams and firing off snapchats. Didn’t even make it out d the lot before I had 10 Instagram likes. That’s right. 10 of um.

My wife brought our car in one morning with flat tire. They were very eager to help and very eager to charge $ 325.00 for a tire I had replaced for $ 150 on another wheel just 2 weeks after.
I recently came here again because the location is very convenient for me and I will give a second chance. I had a nail in my tire and needed a plug. The counter person insisted the tire needed replacement because FixAFlat hardens the rubber and the tire pressure sensor most likely needs replacement. This repair was done for $ 15.00 elsewhere.
Be warned they are trying to squeeze you for everything they can.

I had my wheels balanced using the Hunter road force at this location. Great location, great job, great price, and friendly staff. Highly recommendable.

I ordered 4 tires off of tire rack and came to Sullivan to have them mounted and balanced. I originally went to Firestone but they were unable to work on my car that day. I am not dissatisfied with my service at Sullivan, however I do think I would’ve paid less at Firestone. I paid $ 110 to have 4 tires mounted and balanced.
The service was quick and painless. I brought my car and the tires in and 1 hr 15 min later I was driving away. The lobby was clean and not crowded. They had free wifi for waiting customers and a TV.

I went price shopping to see where I could get the best price for a simple dismount-​mount-​balance for one tire between a damaged wheel and a new replacement wheel.
Well, I walked into Sullivan to ask for a quote and was amazed at their attempt to rob me in broad daylight.
The average tire shop will charge you $ 20 for a mount/​balance job. These guys quoted me $ 60. That’s right. TRIPLE the price of a tire shop like NTB or your mom and pop neighborhood tire shop. I have even gone to performance auto shops in the past that charge $ 20/​tire mounted using a CORGHI tire changer and road force balanced using the latest Hunter equipment.
So why $ 60? Well I had a $ 10 surcharge added because I didn’t buy the tire from them (it was a tire currently installed on my car, two months old with 2,250 miles on it), and other $ 10 to move the TPMS from one wheel to another. That made the base charge $ 40 for the mount and balance alone.
Needless to say I walked out of there quickly. I went over to NTB, paid ¹⁄₃ of the price, and received excellent and flawless service.
I know these guys need to pay for their new expansion into the former Monroe shop next door, but there’s no way I’m going to contribute to that cost. Sullivan vs. NTB = the winner is clear here. Save your money and hold it tight if you ever walk into Sullivan expecting a «deal».

Driving in Boston (as we all know) sucks. I was driving down Comm Ave and managed to blow out both my driver side tires. I must have driven over a cutlery set or a family of porcupines because this shit doesn’t just happen randomly.
Anyways, it was around 6:30 or so. Called AAA. It took them about 2 hours to get to me. (Their review will be next.) Sullivan Tire was about 5 – 10 minutes away so I decided to have AAA bring me there. I called them the next morning and they said they had to order both my tires for the next day. They followed through and called me the next day to tell me my car was ready. Overall decent experience with them.

I live about 45 mins north of the city, but come down to Boston almost daily. A couple days ago my Nissan Altima notified me that my drivers rear tire was low on tire pressure after I took it to the dealership for an oil change. I figured they had just screwed up when topping the air off, so I topped the tire off at a gas station.
Saturday I didn’t drive my car, so fast forward to today (Sunday), as i’m driving down 93 to Boston, suddenly my car has a really bad lean to the left, and the TPMS warning is back. It still showed enough pressure to drive, so I continued onto Boston. Once I get down there, it was evident that all wasn’t well. I find out that Sullivan was open on Sundays, so I limped into the shop around 4:10pm.
They told me it’d be $ 25 for a flat repair, and it’d be done by 5pm when they closed. From previous flat fixes on my old cars, I knew that was on the high side, but, I was happily willing to pay that, because 1) It was a Sunday, 2) They are in Allston, but, it was still very convenient to the city, and 3) I was willing to pay anything to have a safe 45 minute drive home.
I went across the street to grab lunch, watched them pull my car into the garage, and decided to come back about 20 mins after that. I forgot to pull the wheel lock key out of my glovebox, but, to their credit, they found it on their own without calling me, which made me happy.
I come back, and they tell me that it’s bad news, I had a screw in the sidewall, and that they couldn’t repair it. So, they tell me that they don’t have a exact replacement, and give me a few other options. I only have 11,000 miles on my current set, so I opted for them to put the spare on so I could find the same model. I offered to pay them, but, they didn’t charge me to put my spare on, and drive off.
I had never been to a Sullivan tire in the past and they could have easily charged me the $ 25 for diagnosing the issue, and putting my spare on for me, but they didn’t…
Who do you think i’ll choose in the future when I need a repair etc. on my tires, Sullivan Tire.
Just by doing that small act of customer service for me, they definitely have secured my future business, and they impressed me enough to write a five star review.

Anything to do with car repairs, the best compliment you can pay them is that it was fast and uneventful. So when i brought my little smart in to get a slow leak fixed on a somewhat new tire, i was pleased that they didn’t give my little car any funny looks (by now, there are enough of his friends running around Boston, after all), and more pleased that there was no suggestion that maybe i should buy new tires.
Contented, i walked down the street to have a beer, and i didn’t even finish it before they called me to let me know it was repaired. For a whole $ 35. Just what was needed.
