The Permit Guy

I was moving from out of state and was freaking out by the rules to obtain the moving permit 3 days in advance, not knowing how that was going to happen, or even what it entailed (I’m thinking long lines, etc.). I found out about Will and was excited that this could be the solution to my problem, and indeed, he was! I have potential to be a «lost suburban girl» in the city, so this was super helpful!
I called Will in advance to check on some things, and he was super helpful. I submitted my form to him online and the next day he was able to deliver. He went to my apartment location in advance to stake it out (and I’m glad he did — I live in a very busy part of the city) and he was able to know what to do. The hassle of not having to go to city hall was a HUGE help — he did all that, and went back and posted the signs. He sent me a copy of the permit (which I printed out and indeed needed the day of moving to show the cops) and invoice.
I also liked that he provided the non-​emergency police number to tow away any cars that weren’t abiding by the rules, as I had to use it. His thoroughness and attention to detail (especially using saran wrap to post the signs!) are appreciated. For an out-​of-​towner, this is the way to go — no doubt! I’m so glad I found him! I’ll absolutely use Will again for future moves — it’s worth every penny not to have to worry about complying with city rules, waiting in lines, etc.

Wil was great, got both sets of permits, posted them and also gave me the info on who to call in case I needed to tow someone who did not obey the no parking. Easy and convenient, overall the least painful part of the move.

Outsourcing moving permits in Boston is well worth the money. I will definitely be a repeat customer and have already recommended Will to a few friends. He was very responsive and delivered exactly what he promised. Alas, getting the Boston Police to actually *enforce* moving permits is another matter entirely…
