Excellent service, great pizza and pig parts. The beer selection is awesome as well. The menu changes slightly throughout the year, which is a great thing for regulars to get new flavors on a regular basis. Try the pizzas with a «prosciutto crema» base, very interesting!

I had the gnocchi for the main dish and it was imo highly overpriced. Tiny portion, and the taste was just ok, not memorable. They don’t have a full bar so their cocktails are different liquor(not liqueur)-based. I like my cocktails unsweet and strong so they weren’t to my taste either. But to be fair, they are better known for their ‘make-your-own’ charcuterie board. Each meat option is $ 7 – 10 and each cheese option is another $ 7 or so so it’s not for the budget diner. But if you can afford it, it is worth trying, with a nice glass of wine. It’s a beautiful presentation and quite tasty(the jalapeño jelly went great with our tres Bonne cheese!).

At one point, the server spilled beer on my cousin, and didn’t charge her for the beer only. What? There should have been more than that. Charcuterie and cheese plate — beautiful and delicious all around. Definitely the best part of the meal, and that was in the beginning. Decent gnocchi. Also ordered the pork tasting. Lack of balance in flavors because everything was a salty pig.

I really like this place. I think they have one of the best charcuterie boards in Boston. It is especially great when they give you bread that is warm(I love warm bread!). Their menus change but it is always good. I prefer their lunch menu to their dinner menu because I like their sandwiches — it can easily fill up two people. I love their pizza although sometimes it can lean a little oily and soggy — I highly recommend the salty pig pizza! I am not a fan of their pastas though — I haven’t tried one I like. I definitely recommend coming here to get the charcuterie board if nothing else! The service is usually good — I haven’t had a bad experience there!

Did take out only. Interesting and tasty, but I definitely felt like the bread and pizza we ordered had been sitting around somewhere for at LEAST an hour… almost too tough to bite into and cold after only a short walk from the restaurant home. The serving of gnocci with mushrooms and brussels sprouts was very good, but the serving size? Really? Very disappointing, and the dish was rich, but not so rich that anyone would get full on what was served. Our plate consisted of proscuitto, foie gras, brie de nangis, honey and? fig jam was missing; got the coarse mustard and the tough bread. I think this would’ve been better in the restaurant. The margherita pizza was dry and bland, and the bread was tough. We spent a good deal of money on this meal after being told the wait for 5 people would be 2 ½ hours(it was prime time, no question) and I feel like that was just a bad call. A highly rated restaurant may have earned it at the table, but not in the take-out. I would like to try it again in house, but not sure I’d gamble after a so so take out experience.

Such a wonderful place in back bay!!! We had the salty pig pizza(of course and it was ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS!!) it had such s great combo of sweet and savory, and the crust was soft on the right spots: D The make your own board was truly our favorite part. The fig jam is a must, and the sheep and creamy cow cheese were delicious :) Prosciutto was another must, and pork loin was good too! The waiter was extremely attentive and hilarious :) so glad I finally came here!!!

Are you even second guessing to come here? Are you crazy? If the answer to the first one is yes, then you should go with your gut… aka… yes is the only answer. If the answer to the second question is yes, then I can’t help you… but eating here might! I had wanted to try here for a long time… I have heard so much about it, and the idea, the name even, is enticing. Environment: While the actual setting is small, it actually feels big while you are there. I think its because the ceilings are high, and the seating is on different levels. It has a very ‘chill’ vibe, with wood floors, wood tables, wood ceilings, bright red colors, with good lighting but still feeling dark and cozy. The wamrth of the brick oven fire lights up and generates heat throughout… theres some booths but also lots of high top farmers style tables. It was aesthetically unique, curious and comforting. Food: I got a pizza, and they have the recipe right. 5⁄5 for everything from the description in the menu, to the sauce to cheese ratio, to the crust, the woodfired smell and the combination of the experience… I was impressed.

If you’re looking for a good charcuterie place in Boston, this is probably one of my top 3 favorite places in the area. May be a little bias since I lived pretty much next door, but it was definitely a restaurant worth going go if you’re living around the area. Their charcuterie is super customizable. Can’t go wrong with the prosciutto. They have a number of delectable cheeses as well. To round it out, I’m a fan of the fig jam and jalapeño jelly. Their pizza’s aren’t bad either. The Margherita is a go-to for most. Also, they have a great beer menu with beers like Green Flash. Atmosphere is warm and fun. I like the wooden tables. Line can get long though. I’ve been quoted 1 hour+ many a times when I poked my head in during prime dinner time.

Reading reviews prior to stopping by for late lunch with my partner I was expecting something pretty awesome. I got some. Missing the awe though. I was pleasantly surprised by the setup of the whole place upon walking in. Everywhere you looked there was something to read or be fascinated by from the big open oven and chalkboard paint all over the walls to all the comic strips in the bathroom that give you a giggle while you dry your hands. What makes me give 3 stars was the pizza we ordered.
I ordered the pizza Toscano I believe it was called with added pepperoni and a farm fresh egg on top. Although it came out looking like a 10 it soon came dropped to a 5 as soon as I had a bite. Even with the salty pepperoni added the pizza was so lackluster. Maybe my belly just wasn’t feeling it. We also customized our charcuterie board which I don’t know was the best idea either. Some things were great and some not so great but I’m a total newbie when it comes to charcuterie so maybe a few pointers with what goes best with what may have helped a little. I do however really like the customer service! I would come back to try the other pizzas for sure just because I feel like the other great reviews just ordered the right thing!

Visited The Salty Pig recently for a weekend lunch. Started with one of the charcuterie boards, in particular The Salty Pig Board, featuring Prosciutto Cotto, Lamb Porchetta, Stracciatella Cheese, Marinated Olives, and Seasonal Greens with Roasted Shallot Vinaigrette. So fantastic! We figured since this was the namesake board it would be a good way to start, and we weren’t disappointed. We also split the Funghi pizza, featuring Hen of the Woods, Crema di Prosciutto, Fontina, and a Farm Egg. Another home run. The pizza was flavorful, with a great crust and really well-balanced toppings. Pretty much anything with a fried egg on top is a winner in my book, and this pizza really hits the spot. The Salty Pig is not an ideal spot for a vegetarian, although I’m sure they can accommodate them. I’m just not sure you’d get the full experience if you were that limited in your diet. I mean, it’s called The Salty Pig after all. Service is good and the beer selection is great. The location is incredibly convenient, right across from Back Bay Station and a short walk from Copley. I would happily visit The Salty Pig again in the future!

The salty pig was exactly that just to warn y’all! I gave this 3 stars instead of four because the service was lackluster, the crust wasn’t great, and there wasn’t a large amount of options. Would have preferred and appetizer instead of the boards.

3.5 stars. Came here for a weekday lunch with a coworker. Coworker ordered the Funghi pizza, which was super savory — Hen of the Woods, Crema di Prosciutto, Fontina, Farm Egg. The pie was gorgeous and equally tasty — highly recommend. The pork shoulder sandwich was tasty, but am used to really good porchetta, salumi, and super juicy pork shoulder. in which this case was fine but not mind-blowing. Look forward to coming back for their actual charcuterie boards and salty pig parts!

First of all, how can you not love a placed called The Salty Pig? What an adorably delicious name! The inside matches the fun name — it’s a little dark and has a cool, funky, hipster vibe. I had the opportunity to dine here for happy hour with some of my fabulous and beautiful Boston girlfriends during my recent vacation. Please note that they won’t take reservations for groups smaller than 6. However if you have a group of 5(as we did), I guess you could just make a reservation for 6 and then roll with it. Not that I am advocating anyone do that… :p I was under the influence of a lot of wine, so I can’t really give the specifics of what we ordered. I know there were a couple of pizzas and the burrata on the table in addition to our charcuterie. However, I can tell you that everything was delicious and definitely lived up to the name of the place — quite salty and quite piggy — in the best way. The Salty Pig is conveniently located in the Back Bay area. If I lived in Boston, I’m sure I’d be here all the time. Service was solid. Recommended.

I’ve been eyeing this place forever and glad I finally had the chance to eat here! This restaurant really reminds me of a few Chicago restaurants I love. It’s chic, fun and modern. The ambiance here is a little upscale, but casual cool at the same time. At some point, be sure to entertain yourself in their restroom. They adorn the walls with The Far Side comics! It was a nice laugh. Let me start out by saying how amazing the staff is. The Salty Pig does not take reservations, unless it is for groups of 6+, but I decided to send an email to see if there’s any possibility of making a reservation for two. It was my bf’s birthday and I wanted to surprise him to a nice dinner. The manager, Ines, was kind enough to make an exception and even told our server beforehand that it was his birthday! The best part was that they gave us a complimentary dessert on the house with a candle. So sweet of them! He was totally surprised! Do I get the sweetest/sneakiest girlfriend award? The food is here definitely savory, delicious, and definitely worth the price! As a grad student on a budget, I found the portions to be extremely generous and we were almost full after we ate ¾ of our charcuterie board. As told by our server, you should get any of the items that have«SP» written next to it, as that item is made in house! I also love the sides that came with it, like the pickles. I’m usually not a fan of pickles, but the way it was marinaded/seasoned made it so yummy! It balances the cheese and cured meats so perfectly. I also recommend ordering the jalapeño and fig jellies to harmonize the plate! We managed to stuff our face with The Salty Pig pizza… oohhh the crust was so fluffy and yummy, and I love how unique the pizza was. Rather than using tomato sauce, they used a mustard base. It was topped with prosciutto, salami, a cooked egg, and arugula. Yum! Paired with a glass of beer, you have striked gold! Keep in mind the food does take awhile to come out… but that’s ok, with good company, you wouldn’t mind the wait! Beware, the food is a bit on the salty side(I found the additional seasoning on the meats a bit unnecessary), but afterall it is called The Salty Pig, haha. So that’s why I recommend the jellies to go along with your food. To top off our dinner, or server surprised my boyfriend with a chocolate cake and lavender ice cream. Omg, the lavender ice cream was AMAZING! The flavor was intense and I’ve never had lavender ice cream like that. My bf and I were totally fighting for the last bite. Thank you, Salty Pig, for an amazing dinner. We’ll be back!

My husband and I went here when we were in town for a conference. It’s a cute little place with a lot of interesting décor. We sat towards the back, by the windows facing the street. Our server recommended the charcuterie, the salty pig board 16, which comes with prosciutto, lamb porchetta, stracciatella cheese, marinated olives and seasonal greens. Don’t worry if you can’t say most of these words, I had to rely on their website and my autocorrect to spell most of these words too. Just ask for the salty pig board 16 and you won’t be disappointed. I wish we had enough time in the city to go to this place again. I’ll definitely stop by if I ever get a chance.

Came here for lunch before going to the airport. Party of 6. Seated quickly and all given waters. By the kitchen you see a chalk board with a drawing of a pig and the meats. You see a huge steel oven pizza! They do have cocktails, wine, and beer. We ordered The salty pig board: Prosciutto Cotto, Maple-Brined Ham, Lamb, Porchetta, Za’atar, Stracciatella, Mozzarella-Style Pulled Cheese, Marinated Olives, Seasonal Greens, Roasted Shallot Vinaigrette. Everything on this board was delicious! 3 pizzas Mortadella: Broccoli Rabe, Taleggio, Mozzarella, Pistachio pesto. This pizza is really good just a little too much pesto. Funghi: Hen of the Woods, Crema di Prosciutto, Fontina, Farm Egg. This was is my favorite, I would add an extra egg to this! Pizza Toscana: SP Fennel Sausage, Escarole, Mozzarella, Calabrian Chili. This is my least favorite of the 3, but it is vey good an fulfilling!

Our flight was delayed so by the time we arrived at our hotel we were famished. We looked to see what was still open in the Back Bay area and found the Salty Pig. We found a seat at the bar and enjoyed the view of the wood-fired oven baking up pizzas. Ardie took great care of us and let us sample beer and wine before we ordered our drinks. The enticing wine selection had intriguing bottles from Austria, Portugal and France. Jesse started off with a Sculpin and I opted for a gorgeous Vin di Petanque rose. Ardie helped us pick out a charcuterie board off their menu of «pig parts», «stinky cheese» and jams that complimented each other. The salty meat and rich creamy cheese melted in our mouths and the fig jam is to die for. I love the atmosphere, the service along with the wine and swine selections.

+ fun space, plenty of room for everyone inside and out + delicious food, everything’s fresh! + friendly, knowledgeable workers Coming here is kind of like going to a restaurant meets tapas place, the board collection is already pre-set for lunch and pick-yourself for dinner. Each item comes with house pickles(Which are awesome!!), mustard and bread. The price is $ 7 – 8 for each item on the wood boards for dinner… note that for the«stinky cheeses» it’s per slice for the price, so no one’s getting full off of anything on the board! It’s a chance to try something you never have before, but I think the lunch menu boards are more bang for your buck! It’s a preset meat&cheese board, but it gives coverage for various tastes. Also got the Salty Pig Pizza – highly recommend! Ask your waiter what’s the daily meat part if you really want, but my guess is it’ll be delicious no matter what. The sweet caramel glaze + arugula topped with some extra shredded mozzarella requested from our server really made the pizza! Also gives you a chance to try some of the meats without ordering them on the board. I have a habit of taking off pizza toppings sometimes, so I just took off some of the packed on meat from the pizza and paired it with the extra bread slices and got to taste the meats separately that way, yum! They’ve also got a pretty good collection of draft drinks and specialties on the blackboard if anyone’s in the mood!

I came here with high expectations and they were all surpassed because Salty Pig is that awesome! First, decowise, the interior has an industrial hip cool feel to it. Kitchen is connected to seating area so you can see what the chefs are doing(tough job that I am not jealous of). Ceiling is high so it makes the space feel even roomier. Secondly, drinks, I tried the French Chameleon which is def a summer drink with a little bit of soda taste to it; the taste is a bit fruity and on the sweeter side. I am not too impressed but it does its job. Thirdly, most importantly, food! Awesome. I got the Salty Pig part(see pictures) with smoked beef tongue, crottin cheese, and jalapeño jelly, along with pickles and mustard and bread of course. the food is nicely presented. Bread is my most favorite part as they are crunchy, buttery, and a little bit honey — this delicious bread is what seals everything else together. The smoked beef tongue and cheese go really well together. But I am more impressed with the jalapeño jelly which is used as a dipping sauce and has a combo taste of sweet and spicy. If you have friends/family in town, def take them here! They will be impressed

This was the first place we stopped when we arrived in Boston to eat. It was a place I had bookmarked in my research. Our waiter was freaking awesome and 5 stars all the way! They do have a nice selection of drinks on the menu. I ordered a rose wine and my husband got the back slider, which is a Miller High Life topped with Aperol and a shot of Fernet. We both enjoyed our drinks. We then decided to do the build your own board. We picked 3 of the charcuteries, 3 cheese selections, olives, almonds, jalapeño jelly and fig jam. They added some pickles on the board as well. It was all super delicious! I loved the jam and jelly with the cheese. Our waiter was super nice to bring us more bread when we ran out and pickles. The pickles were amazing and a great surprise! When we finished everything we were not overly full or anything, which was good. The reason for the 3 stars instead of higher on this was because of the price. I feel like for what we got it was pricey. I have ordered other charcuterie and cheese boards and never paid as much as I did for this one. Maybe it was because it was Boston … not sure. Anyway other than the price everything here was great!
