We took the suggestions of other reviews to get there before 11 for reduced admission. We arrived at 10 and there was a line. We were charged the full amount and once inside it was empty. Granted it was early but why have a fake line? The drinks were price but strong! $ 14 each. Super nice place and the DJ was killing it. The place filled up by 11.

I went here for the first time two weeks ago on a Saturday. I ordered three drinks that totaled to $ 42. When I go to check my bank account three days later they charged me $ 84. I called them and no one has answered the phone. I sent them an email and I never got a response till this day. I decided to send them a message to Facebook and for a response the next day saying that this message was relayed to the manager and I would get a call back. Two days passed and I never got a follow up. I send another Facebook message asking what was going on. Now I’m being ignored. People please make sure you check your tabs or avoid use cards at all because I was robbed. I was charged $ 84 for 3 drinks, how absurd. Will never go back here. Really unprofessional.

This is my second time here and both times I felt the same experience. Let’s start off with what happens when you walk through the doors. When you walk through the doors, there are two lovely ladies either taking a coat check or asking you to pay for admission. This is pretty much, by far, the sketchiest part. «$ 20», she says. «Oh I read that it was $ 10 before 11PM?(mind me, this was 9:45pm)» «No, it’s $ 20.» «Hmm…(there were 10 of us… 10 x $ 20 = $ 200…)» My friends and I start to discuss… «We’ll take you guys in for $ 10.» «…» We get in and it’s empty but I’m sure it will be packed soon. This place feels like they took a random basement of the W hotel and saw an opportunity to make some money so they converted it to a «club». Drinks are pretty typical. Bartenders are nice… It’s just that very first experience after the bouncer is what upsets me. I understand that it’s the night life and it’s a great opportunity to take advantage of making money from people who wants to get drunk but chill man.

I went here about a year ago and had a great time so we decided to visit the venue again as we had guest in town. The genre of music advertised on their website for the night was EDM but hip hop was played 90% of the time. Within 10 minutes of walking in, someone threw a beer bottle across the room and a fight broke out. We left our drinks on the counter and moved away as the bouncer was restraining one of the girls who was a part of the fight and they were approached us quickly bumping into us as they did this. Once they were able to escort her out of the club, I asked the bartender to remake our drinks because it was sitting unattended while we were away from all of the commotion. He argued with me saying he never took the drinks off the counter and did not understand that I wanted the drinks remade because they were left unattended and anyone could have slipped something into it. After explaining myself three times, he finally remade it and it was disgusting. I understand fights happen and that is beyond the control of the staff but I did not like that our drinks were remade extremely weak when we only took a few sips out of the first one and the fact that we paid a $ 20 cover charge to to listen to the complete opposite genre than what they advertised. I will never go back here because it seems like they have gone downhill.

We had a great time here once we got by the rude, immature girls working at the door. It seemed to be a crowd generally in the 25 – 35 range, dressed to impress even when it’s –9 degrees outside, good bar staff, interesting feel, sort of like having a party in a dungeon.

Good place. They took advantage of the small space and made something of it. It wasn’t insanely crowded which is always a plus not having people step on you and dudes walk around like they are holding two large suitcases. There was an interesting crowd of random older people walking around, but the DJ played some good songs.

This was my first club in Boston, but I didn’t have much to compare it too. We got there on a Friday night at close to 12 and cover was still only $ 10! A girlfriend of mine came in at around 12:30 and they let her in for free. Bouncers at the door were not so scary either. There isn’t a really strict dress code here either which makes it a bit more relaxed. Have to give A+ to service because a cup fell and a second later the bouncer picked it up. That was super fast reaction speed. You go down a few stairs and tunnel is a small long room. The lights in the ceiling really made the place fun for me. Absolutely love how it matches the beat of the music, which is a mix of EDM& hip hop. The DJ that night really made the club for me because he was so energetic throughout the entire night. It was fun watching him bob his head. People there are definitely late 30s, but who cares if you’re just there to dance? Also, had no problems with seedy guys trying to grab ahold of you here. The people I danced with were friendly and didn’t expect anything more. Of course there will be drunk folks, but it’s never too crowded where you cant even move. Would recommend for people who want to go out and don’t feel like waiting in the wintery code for too long.

Quite literally a tunnel! Great music and light effects, but much too small for my vibe!

My friends and I went here for Halloween this year, got there around 10:30pm to avoid cover at 11:00pm. They held the line up and only let a few people in very slowly! Finally after waiting in the cold for over 30minutes, the rude bouncers finally let us in at 11:02pm and charge us each $ 20, of course. Thanks, Tunnel. Inside is just like a tunnel. We were at the bar near the entrance. When I needed to go to the bathroom which was in the back, the walk felt like FOREVER because of how long and narrow the place was! Felt claustrophobic, especially trying to fight through a crowd. Not fun.

This place is trashy and strange. And we had a GREAT time. Trying to find a place to dance, my friends and I were tired and fed-up with all of the lines and obscene cover charges every place we tried was charging. We came across this place, and were graciously escorted in right away, free-of-charge, by the bouncers(we arrived before 11:30). Our happiness was doubled when we realized there was also a coat check, free-of-charge. We got downstairs to find that the club is this strange little dark place(I guess that’s where the name comes from) with a really cool colored-light ceiling. The crowd is a mix of f*ckboys and girls in super trashy outfits(ladies, this is the place to break out your stripper heels and strappy little dresses)…but, I guess that’s what I would expect. It was a decently sized-crowd: enough people where it doesn’t feel awkward, but plenty of space to dance and move. The two DJs were AMAZING. Damn. They played an awesome mix of mid-2000s stuff(my favorite), EDM, and current top 40 with some excellent mixes and mash-ups. When my friends and I had reached the point of exhaustion it was so hard to leave because each new song that came on was so good! I’d recommend this place to anyone who«just wants to dance»(I’m looking at you, «woo!» girls).

We went there for my friend’s birthday on a Saturday; FYI there is no cover for girls before 11:30, and guys pay $ 10. After 11:30 everyone pays $ 20 + for now they have free coat check(since it’s not winter yet I assume) They had two AMAZING DJs and this is the only place in the city I’ve seen that does not keep you in a fake line outside the door for no reason just to make themselves look busy, so I appreciated that — also the girls at the front door that collect the cover charge are surprisingly nice and not miserable unlike other lounge/clubs in that area. If you’re reading this review and you’r looking for a place to go & have a drink and a convo with your friends well then this is not the place for you –but if you’re reading this and you’re into dancing and enjoying lound music then please stop reading and just head there!!! P. S the ceiling lights are trippy but cool at the same time.

The atmosphere is nice with a nice ceiling lights and generally nice DJs. It was very dead for a friday night when I went and for the $ 20 at the door it was not worth it. It was nice to go hang out with my friends for a birthday but there are plenty of other places that are better on a weekend.

Although I’m not much of a clubbing person, I thought this place was ok. The crowd is definitely on the more mature side but I saw some pretty sloppy people when I was here. Cover is $ 20/person regardless of whether you’re a girl or a guy and then drinks are about $ 10 each. Compared to NYC drinks, this is a STEAL so my bf and I grabbed a couple. The club is definitely a bit smaller than usual and there’s a lounging/sitting place near the back. DJ wasn’t bad during that night and I overall had a good time had it not been for some people who made me feel uncomfortable. One guy openly told me(my bf just stepped int he bathroom) that he «LOOOVES asian girls» and that just gave me a bad aftertaste of the place.

Well this certainly isn’t the Tunnel NYC, but in my «advanced» age this is probably a good thing as I’m not sure I would survive a night at Tunnel NYC now. We were having drinks at the W on a Saturday night and decided to continue the festivities at the Tunnel, the nightclub under the W. The club has the requisite velvet rope and large bodied security staff, but unbelievably they were actually very polite and let us right in. The hostess was also especially nice. She asked if we were on the guest list to which my wife replied«No, but can we be?» The hostess said of course, enjoy your night which saved us the normal $ 20 cover. This was also very surprising to me and not what I am used to from my club boy days in Miami. The venue is not very large, but the DJ was very good playing a good mix of R&B, hip-hop, and EDM. The Tunnel filled up pretty quick but I would say it never got to the point of being uncomfortable. The crowd was pretty good and I didn’t see any shady individuals or creepers. The people here are much better than what we saw standing in line at the Market the night before. Overall I would say that it’s a great hassle free time at a club. Drinks are also pretty reasonable and although the couches were reserved for bottle service, we were able to sit on one of the ottomans without any hassle. I must say the ceiling lights were also pretty cool.

I ended up going to Tunnel after getting bored waiting in line to enter Venu. Turned out to be a good move. mostly! It IS a small space, feels very intimate — like everyone here would know everyone — almost like a loungy post work mixer. It got better in a while though when the DJ dropped some sick house tracks. I realized I’m not a fan of techno-fied top 40s so that was a bummer. The crowd is diverse, decent and felt late 20s-early 30s. Girls, you really don’t have to worry about surprise butt grinding here. ATALL. Bartender was a boss — she mixed me a super heavy cocktail n I was set for the night! Bouncer guarding the restrooms was a cutie — made great conversation! Nice spot for $ 10 but I doubt it’ll become a regular haunt for me.

My oh my this place is teeny. The W really tried to maximize their revenue by trying to make their basement into a club/lounge. Came here on a Friday night and couldn’t move without bumping into someone. Forget about dancing… there just isn’t any space! Another con about a small venue is that you can’t escape creepers without bumping into them again. The crowd was diverse. The music was good but I’m pretty sure it was a pre-recorded set because the DJs seemed to be bored out of their minds! Def not one of my faves.

Great place. The DJ that night was fantastic! It was very EDM, but he mixed a lot of old songs(90’s, early 2000’s), which made it awesome. Everyone was really into the music and was actually dancing. I’ve been to so many clubs where people just stand on the dance floor and it’s so boring. Definitely won’t find that here. The club is very diverse. Many people of all different ages there. Most of them were younger, in their 20’s, but it’s a good mix. There was surprisingly a lot more girls than guys at the club. My friend was trying to get her flirt on, but there was literally no guys there for her to flirt with. Either they were too old and creepy or they were taken. She was pretty disappointed that night. Most clubs I’ve been to are sausage fests, so I don’t know how the Tunnel manages to bring more girls than guys. The drinks were pretty pricey though. It costs $ 11 for a simple gin & tonic! The bartender though was awesome. She remembered my drink order! Even when it was jam packed and I was getting a round for me and my friends, she knew exactly what we ordered and asked if we wanted the same thing. Pretty impressive. I tipped her extra for being able to remember. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to! Overall, great place and will be back again when I’m in Boston!

Came here on a Thursday night around 11 and it was very empty. However, there was no cover and we stayed because we were told it gets packed later on. At around 12:30 this place was pretty packed and everyone was dancing and having a good time. The crowd is SUPER diverse. They do cater to an older crowd tho and I’m very happy about that. The drinks are the same as any other club. The bar is easily accessible and it was never difficult to get a drink. The LED lights overhead was interesting… The space is pretty small and I can see how it would get packed and unbearable pretty easily. The bathrooms are at the very back and it’s single stalls… Lots of privacy if you need it! Music was very mixed… first it was slower oldies, but then it picked up a little but still hip hop/top 40s. Very little EDM. Overall, decent for a Thursday night, but didn’t knock it out of the park for me.
