Unleashed by Petco

The staff who work at this petco are by far the nicest and most helpful staff there is! I come by about once a month for various things and each person I meet is wonderful. Super helpful and friendly staff that really loves animals.

staff here is very friendly and helpful. nice selection of items although not as special as polkadog or dtails. big plus for us is the dog scale so we can monitor our pups growth. petco/​unleashed is pricey, but with their customer loyalty program you get some $ back if you shop there regularly and they have sales and markdowns on certain items. we like the shop but also like to patronage the smaller local mom and pop shops in the neighborhood.

So excited to have a non-​boutique pet store within walking distance (OK — so not really walking distance if carrying a big bag o’ kitty litter). This place is a smaller (read: more pricey) version of Petco’s normal stores. They have the fancier products and brands overall. My main disappointment is over the cat litter — I foster and really don’t want to spend my life savings on fancy schmancy stuff. Yes, I want decent litter but there are limits. Too bad they don’t carry at least one — more «normal» litter type.
On to the food. Yep, fancy again. But for my little princess — anything! No Friskies or even Fancy Feast here. Again looking for foster kitten food …$$$.
So, its great to have in the ‘hood and you pay for the quality of the brand/​product vs. the boutique owner’s pocket. The staff is friendly but have not always followed through with things (perhaps ’cause they were still getting settled?). I will still make trips out to the big stores — but this place is great to have when the need arises.
