I only had drinks, but whiskey list is amazing. Over 100. My brother and a friend recommended powers gold on the rocks and it was smooth. I don’t like most whiskeys but it was great

Bouncer is a douche. Great selection of drinks. Good typical bar food. Great atmosphere.

The food is definitely sub par and the prices are too high for the quality. I’m visiting from out of town put in quite sure there are better places to eat than here. I was ridiculously disappointed.

Extremely rude bar tender but the choices are quite expansive. Not much else to say, they have live music available and it seems to be a place to be on a Friday night but wow the bar tender told us off for trying to get the check…

What can I say about the Whiskey Priest? The«Bouncers» were not the nicest people in the world. The minute me and my group of girlfriends walked up they said«it’s a $ 5 cover — no complaints.» Would’ve been a decent joke if the other one wasn’t doing pretend hair flips and mocking the things we were doing. The atmosphere is that of a out of town college bar. I don’t mind this — I expect different vibes different places/nights. The band playing was fun and interactive. The beer selection was why I am giving this more than a 1 – 2 star rating. Loved the selection and the liquor drinks were strong. Would love to see this in the day for lunch/brunch but otherwise wouldn’t come here for the nightlife.

Very disappointing! We recently went on a Brew Tour and most of the bus landed at the Whiskey Priest for lunch. It was recommended on the tour and several of the couple were planning to try it anyway because of its popularity. Seven of our group sat at our table, when the food was served 6 received their plates; we had to ask for the 7th. One person ordered the seafood sampler off the appetizer menu and it was so over cooked that if you picked up the clams it crumbled in your hands. Three drinks were so diluted they were pink instead of red, these we sent back for replacements. The margarita’s had so little liquor it was like drinking soda. The place was not full but the service was still slow, and incomplete. My husband and I had to share a napkin and fork, even after asking we still did not receive a setting. When we receive our check we were charged for the original and the replacement. Not worth the hype.

Drinks are bad, well vodka tastes rotten, beers were flat. We did have a great French dip sandwich though! And the bathrooms were disgusting, like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It’s more of a dive bar than a restaurant.

The best part of Whiskey Priest is the roof deck. It’s a fun starting place with friends, but take heed… it gets jam packed on nice days when everyone in town has the same idea as you. The food at WP is nothing special, the drinks do the trick but are pricey, big surprise. They usually have some form of entertainment on weekends and a line at the door to go with it. You’ll find that there’s always a younger crowd at WP. However, one weeknight after our booze cruise docked next door, we came over for drinks to continue the party. Only this night, I felt we were in good company, as 30+somethings and business people from the area made up most of their patronage.

Came here for a private party, catered with drink tickets and a great assortment of appetizers. The apps were all phenomenal, but the fried mac ‘n cheese balls and Irish nachos really stood out to me as just all-around solid bar food. The drink prices were very fair. Atmosphere was nice — just what you’d expect from a more mainstream Irish pub. They provided our group with a mic and speakers, as well as a good amount of roped-off reserved space. The bartenders were friendly and the waitresses very attentive.

***Drinks Only*** This is a whiskey-lovers paradise! I could easily see myself spending a lot of time here if I was a local. The bartenders were friendly and helpful as well. Impressive whiskey list, as the name of the bar indicates.

Will have to go a second time to scope out the place more. Went on a Saturday night! Before 10 no cover. After 10PM is 10 $dollars cover even for ladies. Live band! Playing any hit song you want. Ambiance is more of a rowdy sporty kinda feel. There was no dress code. However, everyone looked presentable. Drinks are good, but can be pricey, but the percentage of alcohol is on point. Great place for big groups… To be continue!

If you like overpriced mediocre food and the opportunity to get separated from your friends as the bar staff kicks you out for absolutely no reason, this is your spot! I went here with a bunch of friends visiting from several different continents. It was an okay experience for a while(the food was something like $ 10 for an okay set of cheese fries), but things turned down pretty quickly. I stepped outside for a minute and the bouncer told me to leave; I asked for an explanation and he refused to give me one. He didn’t let me find my friends, he almost didn’t let me grab my suit jacket, and he left me out in the cold — fairly sober, extremely confused, and eager to send future visitors to a better bar. Boston is a city with many other great establishments; I’d recommend anywhere else.

We wanted to eat at Yankee Lobster, but the line was ridiculously long. Since the group had a meeting and had to finish dinner by a certain time, we opted for whiskey Priest. Regretfully. The location for Whiskey Priest is convenient enough. It’s still on the pier area. It’s a short walk away from the hotel and convention center. But note to self and everyone: although it’s good for a quick fix, it was not worth it. I would have rather waited in a long line or call for a take-out order at another place. The service wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t the best. They were accommodating with our large group. While there’s plenty of seats available on the second floor of the restaurant, don’t let it fool you. There’s were so many tables with one person sitting and they were all saving the spots for their friends. The best way to get a spot is to call. The food lacked flavor. The bar food was not very appetizing. No amount of ketchup, salt, or sauce could render my dinner palatable. I ordered the grilled swordfish entrée. And it was extremely dry. I remember eating with utter disappointment while drinking an interesting pineapple beer. Interesting because it wasn’t good or terrible. It was mediocre, as with everything else at this establishment. The view of the water on the upper deck is the only redeeming quality for this restaurant. I don’t want to experience this again. Sorry, Whiskey Priest.

Meh beer selection, meh cocktail selection, meh food selection. I didn’t eat here because nothing looked appealing. It screams«tourist trap» so loudly that even as a tourist I was turned off. We had one drink and left… which didn’t happen as quickly as it should have because the service was slow as Christmas.

Had a fun time there. Not overly impressed with the venue. Bouncer made things more difficult than they needed to be. Kept playing red light, green light with us even after he’d let us past the rope. $ 5 cover wasn’t bad and the layout of the interior was pretty cool. I never had any issues getting drinks, but I could see other people having problems. They have a half decent beer selection. Tons of whiskey bottles back behind the bar. The music was loud but not too loud. The DJ was pretty good. Seemed like everyone was moving but there wasn’t really a designated dance floor. Everything was a little grungy and kinda sticky. I would have given it a 3 star if not for that. Overall, I would probably go back if someone suggested it. But I’d try to find an alternative first.

I wonder about places that have ridiculous lines especially for college style bars. The space is big with two floors that look over the water but that’s about the most of it. We came on a Thursday after a boat cruise up and down a river and it was a 180 from the weekends. No lines and no people. They had a 90s music theme going on which I guess is the new 80s night as I get older. [urgh]. Drinks are actually decently made so good for that and it’s large enough to get your groove on and when you want to. Weird name though.

Sticky menus, ignored by bartenders, and not to mention the extremely loud music on a Sunday night that prevents you from having a conversation with your husband. Walked in here with my husband to grab a small bite and a few beers before watching the fireworks in the harbor. There was a huge crowd in front of us just gabbing with all the bouncers, and then we were allowed in after a few minutes. We then went to the bar, and we were given sticky menus to peruse. The vibe was unwelcoming — We were seated at the bar for about 15 minutes before someone came and took our order, and I couldn’t hear what my husband and friend were saying, and then the bartenders couldn’t hear our order. Not to mention, it was a Sunday evening with maybe 10 patrons. So it wasn’t busy at all. It was an unhappy experience for us both, so we decided not to stay.

A frequent watering hole of mine, but not one of my favorites, Whiskey Priest is located on the Boston shoreline. The benefits to going to this place include the beautiful view the perfect roof deck in the location. There’s nothing like grabbing a drink with a nice cool breeze on a beautiful summer Boston tonight. The crowd is always lively and the place is always hopping. The negatives of going here can mostly be the people who inhabit it. You’re looking at a young crowd they can get a little rowdy and heavily intoxicated at times. Also mixed drinks appear to be a little weak and can be very pricey. Beer also runs a little pricey but that’s to be expected in this location in Southern Boston. If you are looking to visit the Boston waterfront for a drink you could probably do better than Whiskey Priest, but it is still a good time. Just know what you’re getting yourself into.

Decent bar. Typical seaport atmosphere. However, worst nachos I’ve ever had. The only meat that was on them was ham that looked like they got it out of a lunchable. Very disappointing. Pleasing a drunk person with nachos should not be a hard thing to do. However, it proved to be more than this place could handle. Also, no fireball. I guess Jack Fire is more classy, though. If Whiskey Priest were a girl, I would immediately delete her number and dodge her calls.
