Great spot. Not only have I gotten firewood here I have gotten a lot of small items needed through out my day. Highly recommended this place if you are in the area. Wonderful customer service.

Super friendly service all the time from the owners to the staff alike. I just wish you kept your gas prices in line with Freddie’s and AMPM

This is likely the nicest 7 – 11 I’ve ever been in in just about every way, apart from one. We’ve been coming here off and on for years, and most of the staff are just insanely friendly. The owner in particular. The place is clean. Couldn’t be happier. There’s just one member of staff, an elderly white haired lady who is prone to being very unfortunate in her attitude to customers. I’d previously heard her talking very abruptly to another customer but until now have not had a particularly unpleasant experience from her. Likely I wouldn’t have even thought about it had I not experienced this side of her. We were coming in nearly every day for two weeks over the summer for the free giveaways 7 – 11 were offering through the cell phone app. This particular day it was a free big gulp, so I went in with my son and both of our cell phones to get our free drinks and to also purchase a gallon of milk. My cell phone scanned perfectly, but his was low on battery and had the display dimmed, and for some reason this meant the scanner wouldn’t grab the bar code. We could however see the bar code and see that it was the right app and we had a coupon. The low battery just dims the back light a little bit. In fact this has happened before, and previously hadn’t been an issue(the member of staff simply scanned the same code twice(as they are identical anyway and not one off’s like printed coupons). The problem wasn’t so much this minor glitch, it was her immediate switch in mood. It was crazy. She just stopped trying to scan it and looked at me saying it wouldn’t work. She started to become quite aggressive in tone of voice and said that we didn’t have a coupon because the machine wouldn’t let her scan it(by machine she was referring to and motioning the cell phone with low battery and a dimmed screen). I again said that we did have a coupon. We can both see that I have a coupon. «I’m holding it right here.» She then mentioned that I should simply pay for it. At this point I was still quite friendly, and I said that actually, this had happened once before and the other member of staff had simply scanned the one app twice, because they’re the same code. She stated again that it clearly says«one per phone» while pointing at the phone. I said that this is ridiculous. I have a coupon. We can both see it. This was quite the deflating pivotal point of the interaction. I could tell I was dealing with an older person who wasn’t going to budge from the letter of the law, no matter what. Honestly, we wouldn’t have been in there that day if it weren’t for the free item and as usual, we were picking up extra things while there(like the milk today), but her attitude and accusatory tone, as though I was trying to get something for nothing was extremely insulting. I again said that we clearly do have two phones, and the scanner isn’t able to scan it, but you can see that we have two coupons. She wouldn’t do it. Feeling somewhat lead into a purchase at this point, I said that I don’t want it then. I wouldn’t be in there for a drink if it wasn’t a free one, and she then raised her voice still further and rolled her eyes saying that«I can’t put it back!» and again asked me to pay for it. Remember now that I’m a regular and buy things here all the time. They know me fairly well and we exchange pleasantries all the time, making this really surprising. While not going into the subtleties of why this is now extremely insulting and rude, this was the moment when all niceties fled my mind and I simply had to say that no, we would not be purchasing something that we had a free coupon for and had done so many times before. I said something along the lines of not being allowed to use the coupon I have, so I don’t want it. The rest of the transaction was awkward and in total silence, my mind still slightly reeling from the letter of the law lack of customer service that had just exploded in front of me, very unexpectedly from up until now such a friendly store. I left feeling like this was a disastrously poor customer service moment. I don’t know if perhaps the older couple in there are relatives of the owner, but I’m still absolutely certain he would not be okay with customers being spoken to in this way. I realize there are rules, but in this case it was clearly a technical glitch and an easily solvable one at that. You had to throw that soda away anyway, but you’d prefer to take it back from my son who was holding it and accuse me of trying to get something for nothing instead, while raising your voice and rolling your eyes at me rather than finding a nicer way around it? I’m sure your store doesn’t rely on my sole purchases, but I’m still a regular that you chased away for basically no reason. I can’t fault any other members of staff. Really, just so friendly and accommodating in every way which is so unusual for a 7 – 11.

Okay, there’s not all that much to set this apart from most c-stores … except the super fun«PULSH» stickers on the entrance — see the photo! I think they deserve to get some Unilocal love just for the wicked sense of humor that somebody had to put these diabolical stickers up. Oh, and where can I get some for myself!!!

It’s your typical convenience store, located on a very prominent corner. Getting in and out is easy and there’s good parking. And get this: all the employees speak English! Weird huh? Speaking of weird, oftentimes I’ll be in there and waiting in line with several people, and there will be 3 or 4 employees working but only one on register. The others seem to be dealing with Very Important Issues that involve a lot of staring and not much customer service. But overall it’s actually pretty good for a 7 – 11.
