Good selection but hilariously overpriced. My biggest complaint is the gemstone bead strands are mostly agate, and way too long to ever sell to all but the richest people. Unless they change it so I can buy half a strand or less, I won’t be back.

Let me start by saying the one star is based on customer service. This shop has an amazing selection of beads, however my family had a terrible experience trying to shop there. We went to Country Village last Friday to grab dinner and some more beads for a birthday project I had been working on for my niece’s birthday on Saturday morning. We arrived at 6:01pm,(I checked my iPhone just as we tried the handle), to find the door locked. I looked in the window and started to search for a sign with their hours,(they closed at 6), when a woman opened the door. She didn’t ask us if she could help, just said, «we closed at 6 and the till is already closed.» I quickly explained I had cash and we had driven here just to get some expensive specialty beads and I was making a craft that needed to be finished tonight, hoping the big sale would be enough to keep her around for an extra 5 minutes. She said«sorry» and closed and locked the door. My four year old daughter who had been whimpering while we were talking, began to cry her eyes out on the porch. Now, I am huge believer in shopping local, that’s why we were there instead of JoAnn’s or Hobby Lobby. But part of making that choice for me, is being treated like a person and not just another customer. If a mom and pop shop can’t stay open another 5 minutes to help someone out, why pay the premium prices and make the drive?

NEWFAVORITEBEADSHOP!!! Located in the Country Village, this store provides everything you need to craft and bead your heart out. I LOVE how everything is organized, it’s incredibly easy to find what your looking for. They have the most wonderful selection of chain, it probably took me a good 15 minutes to decide. Also, they have a sale section in the back that is fun to peruse through. I was on a mission to make some necklaces for my bridesmaids and had an idea of what sort of elements I wanted to include. It had been a couple years since I last made jewelry so I had a few questions. Unfortunately the girl helping me didn’t give me enough chain(96 inches for 6 necklaces) and suggested two sets of pliers instead of the kit of 4 that cost the same(and was right by the checkout). Not to mention her arrogant glare when I posed a few questions to her about the assembly. At the end of the day I figured out how to make them myself without her«help.» I came back the next day(because I needed more chain) and when the checkout lady(different girl) heard that I wasn’t provided enough, she gave me another $ 10 sticker on my rewards card… the bill the day before: $ 64(6 stickers), today: $ 7(no stickers). I thought this was incredibly gracious of her. Employees like the one that recently helped me are why I will continue to come here and shop till I drop. Props to her for going above and beyond for the client and managing to turn an otherwise mediocre experience into a great one.

I had such a fun time at Garden of Beadin’. It is like being in a candy store. There is an excellent, colorful selection of beads that are very nicely organized. I especially appreciated the lovely helpful staff. The gal who helped me with my purchase was so sweet and engaging. I enjoyed this place so much, I went in there twice during my little visit to the Country Village. Great prices, extensive selection and great staff. I highly recommend this place.

Talked to the owner, helped me figure out exactly what I needed for a project and even showed me how to start it. Turned out amazing!

I love this store and the selection of beads. It’s very well organized. The only downfalls are that it’s crowded a lot of the time and you have to wait for people to move out of the way to look at beads. I took a class there and the teacher was a very attentive teacher and loves what she does(Stacy), but that area where the classes happen is a bit claustrophobic and there is no place to sit and work freely when classes are not going on so that you can buy things you need as you go, like some craft stores offer. It’s fine though, many don’t. I like their price trays as so many of the prices are represented on the tray so you don’t have to write things in and try to juggle all your stuff while doing so, like at Bead Hut in Kirkland. That is super annoying at Bead Hut. Anyway though, it is a very well stocked store and I’ll be back.

Helpful employees, even if you are new to beading they are knowledgeable and help you get started. Also, they have a great selection– their prices are reasonable, it really depends on the beads and materials you use.

SO many beads! They have a huge selection! Really, every bead you can think of! I stopped in here with my boyfriend to find some charms, but we were both amazed by the beads! The charm selection was pretty bad but they had great prices on jewelry tools– so we walked out with a couple of those instead. Super well organized, great lighting(which I have learned is important when shopping at these places) and located in the cozy country village~ Also, they offer classes– which is my next goal.

I LOVE this shop… A friend of mine introduced me to the Garden of Beadin’ a few months back, and whenever I happen to be in the Bothell area I have to stop in. They have an amazing selection… the staff is always helpful… the prices are right and they have punch cards which come in handy when you are spinning out of control buying everything in sight… Great place to find inspiration…

My mother and I have been to garden of beadin’ a few times. It is a small and cute little shop and is loaded with fun things. They were a little busy when we arrived and we were not greeted but once it thinned out a little we were asked if we needed help and got an apology for not being greeted right away. Most of the time we browse the shop and grab random things for projects here and there. This day however I was shopping for gifts for my bridesmaids and for a a project for my own bridal jewelry. The ladies there were super helpful and had a lot of ideas when I had questions or just merely wanted some suggestions or thoughts for what I was working on. I left extremely satisfied and with all the things I needed for my projects. I would definitely recommend this to fellow crafty craftersons!
