North Lake Montessori and Child

Today is my child’s fourth day and she looks happy and content! She is in the pre-​toddler class and both her teachers Ms Heather and Ms Betsy are wonderful! They take utmost care of all the kids and give them lots of affection. The place is clean and the playground is huge. My daughter was in a different day-​care before this and hated it. She always dreaded and feared to go in. I am so glad I found North lake Montessori. They are affordable and the staff is caring and friendly.

This is THE ONLY PLACE besides homecare that I have ever trusted my daughter at. Mr. Geoff is the most amazing teacher and guide, all the staff is caring and attentive. There are 2 teachers for less than 15 kids or so, and I constantly change my hours for traffic so that I can keep her there.
They are open 630am-​630pm, so a huge window; last Friday of the month they do a late night for $ 25 from 6 – 10 so parents can have time. I won’t take my daughter anywhere else.

My kids have been going to Northlake Montessori for over six months, after we moved to the area. My son is in Kindergarten and comes here for their after school care program, and my daughter is 2 and is here full-​time. They really do live up to the Montessori name and are not just a daycare. My daughter is already starting to recognize letters of the alphabet and the sounds each letter makes. My son enjoys playing with his friends here after school. The other thing I really appreciate about them is that they are open on most of the public school holidays, and that they also plan field trips for the school age kids when the public schools are closed. In addition, about once a month they have «Parents’ Night Out» where you bring your kids in their jammies, they feed them dinner and have fun activities for them and a movie afterwards. It’s really a nice treat for families like ours that don’t have extended families nearby and need a break. And the kids have a blast too. The staff are all friendly and caring, I would recommend Northlake Montessori to other parents in the area.

I am very impressed with the care and staff here at North Lake.
They took a failed nightclub (bonus points if you knew this used to be a Tommy Africa’s location!) and turned it into a great daycare.
They even kept the african animal themed wall murals and such throughout… so of course the kids love it.
The staff is friendly and ample, I’ve never seen less than 2 per age group.
They transport to multiple local schools within the Northshore School district, offer many field trips and other activities, offer haircut services, and quite a few other things I’ve not seen daycares offer before.
And let’s get to the lowdown… it’s a daycare… means there are babies… babies do things that smell and make messes. It is always clean here, and doesn’t smell. Yes, it’s required and an expectation that a place be clean, but they do a better job than many places that service this many kids at once.
They also don’t use «Montessori» as just an advertising ploy or a nice sounding name… they follow it, believe it, teach it. I love that.
My kids have really enjoyed their time here this holiday break, and should I require the services in the future, this will be my first choice.
