My son is 13 and wants to take on the electronics world and make all components magically work together with the wave of a wand. Unfortunately, that’s not reality, and this mama is the WORST at figuring out how electronics work. It had been years since we’d thought about Radio Shack, but 2 months ago we were trying to figure out if the technology existed to convert a jack on my son’s laptop to accommodate some fancy headphones he’d purchased. I did a bunch of research online, but there didn’t seem to be any good answers. It finally occurred to me to call Radio Shack on the off-chance they might give me a solution other than calling a big-box store and getting the runaround. Lo and behold, enter Patrick, the manager of the Canyon Park Radio Shack Store. Not only did he understand my problem as I described it to him in layman’s terms on the phone(okay, unsophisticated mommy terms which includes words like«thingie» and«doohickey»), he knew immediately what I needed, and he had it in stock. A simple adapter that I wouldn’t even have known existed had he not pulled it out of his brain. A 10-minute drive and $ 6 later, we were cookin’ with gas! Fast-forward to today. Same headphones, different device, trying to get them to work with our new TV. I did a ton of reading online and didn’t find a solution so thought I was out of luck. But then I remembered how helpful Patrick had been a few months ago so decided to call Radio Shack. He answered the phone, told me basically almost everything electronic has a possible workaround, told me to take a couple of photos of my setup and come see him! So we did. And he had a solution. He actually had 2 solutions. One that he could rig right there in the store, and one that I could order from an electronics manufacturer in Bellevue for a lot less money. He gave me all the details, and didn’t bat an eye that he was losing a sale by sending me somewhere else. That kind of integrity goes a long way with me. I hope Radio Shack recognizes what a gem they have in Patrick! He has over-the-top customer service skills which is very rare these days. He also explains how things work with the heart of an educator rather than the arrogance of someone who feels threatened by sharing information. Thank you Patrick at Radio Shack! I hope your store continues to thrive!

Went in yesterday to buy a charger for my phone the guy there point me to the right one tight away and he also notice my phone was a little old so while ring me up he explain that they do trade in value on the old phone for a new one. I really do love the hand on service they do provide

I went in to get a camera battery for my Canon DSLR the other day and the people working at this location were super friendly and helpful. I think it was the manager who was helping me but he really took his time to educate me on battery life and camera functions. I’ve been to other radio shacks but this one was unlike any other. They were much more accommodating and helpful than you average super warehouse stores.

Yesterday afternoon, I entered the Radio Shack store at 22627 Bothell Everett Hwy for the purpose of upgrading to a smart phone with Sprint. Sales associates«CJ» and«Vernon» proved to me that excellent customer service still exists in the world and is VERY alive and VERY well at this Radio Shack outlet. The abridged version of the story: Together, these two gentlemen invested 3−½ hours on the phone with Sprint to get straight answers and solutions from the cell carrier’s representatives. Sprints reps were lackadaisical, showed no initiative and were unmotivated to 1) search for the information needed or 2) refer to another Sprint rep who could find the answers. But the Radio Shack guys didn’t let up in their pursuit of answers. It was amazing to watch the pair work in concert with one another. Three hours in, I said, «You guys have been through enough! I’m changing carriers.» CJ and Vernon switched me to Verizon and 30 minutes later, I walked out with a happy heart with my smart phone in my hand and as a Verizon customer. After 16-years of loyalty to Sprint, I must say it was a pleasure to bid that carrier adieu and be directed by CJ and Vernon to Verizon. THANKYOU to manager Alex Miner for your intuition and wisdom in hiring the brilliant, creative, dedicated and motivated CJ and Vernon. KUDOS to CJ and Vernon for your top-notch, exemplary customer service skills. Your abilities to see a most challenging solution through to its successful outcome are nothing short of amazing! It’s challenging to be a consumer in today’s marketplace… through this experience, I’ve learned to shop where I know I’m considered the most important element of the store. Bothell’s Radio Shack store is now #1 on my «Best Places to Shop» list.

my tomtom gps car charger broke. they helped find a replacement. however after a week it wasnt charging. i brought it in and they checked the voltage from my car and found it was not charging and they suggested that the fuse needed to be replaced. i replaced the fuse and they were right that solved the problem. the charger works fine now.

I’ve tried to shop here because I used to build electronics and tried to support Radioshack for nostalgic reasons. But the push-sales technique they use is over the top rude. I wont go back. I hope they fail at this point. I saw two young women push a docile guy into buying one of those bogus protection plans on my last attempt to support this business. Hed finally caved. They pushed him into it. Then, when I went up to the register, I told her«absolutely not» when she started in on me. She ignored me and tried hammering on me again. I left my items and wont be back.
