Taco Time

This location is always super slow. I never go through the drive thru anymore, as it always takes forever.
I the pico de gallo they serve is under seasoned. I say drive a few minutes and go to the Woodinville location. The food is way better, and they give you two sides of pici with your chips and salsa.

Went to the Drive Thru, ordered the crispy chicken burrito meal. What I actually got was extra black burnt crispy chicken stick. The girl who gave me my food didn’t seem to like her job. She looked clueless. Cup was filled up to the top with ice. Didn’t get any napkins or hot sauce/​ketchup. Horrible service and quality of food at this location.

I pulled up to the drive thru to order at 9:57 pm and they wouldn’t take my order saying they close at 10. The man in front of me and I essentially arrived at the same time, but he had the right of way and entered the drive thru first. So, this tells me they were not out of food. I told the girl I’m only going to order a couple of tacos, nothing fancy, but she wouldn’t take it. I’m not usually the type of person to get upset by things like this and definitely not the person to go order tacos at this hour, but I’m 7 weeks pregnant and felt that tacos was the only thing I could keep down at this time so felt very disappointed that they could take an order at 9:56, but not 9:57.

It’s Taco Thirty somewhere isn’t it? Being new to the PNW I had never heard of Taco Time. Evidently this place was founded in Eugene Oregon way back in 1959. Thanks to Wikipedia I just learned these folks were bought out by the same folks who own Cold Stone and Blimpie.
So what, you ask? Well, this explains why the menu is surprisingly unique and has that independent and charming sense about it, while being run like a professional business that has a corporate bottom line to protect. So you get the quality and cleanliness that only money can afford plus the charming homegrown menu with ingredients like whole-​wheat tortillas, homemade salsa fresca and sunflower seeds.
So stop reading this and just go in and get some grub!

I’m done with this place. I can’t tell you how many times they have messed up my order at the drive thru (I learned to ALWAYS check my order in the parking lot before I drive home), but my experience tonight was downright disgusting. When I got home and opened my salad, there was a live bug crawling on top of the lettuce. I put the bug, along with the piece of lettuce it was clinging to, in a baggie and returned to the restaurant. I spoke with the assistant manager who apologized and gave me my money back (after I asked for a refund.) I asked the manager how lettuce is cleaned in her restaurant, and if she thought the lettuce in my salad was not washed, or washed poorly. I also asked her how often their kitchen is inspected by the county health department. She told me that she thought the health department inspects about once per year. I probably looked shocked — she then told me it was probably more often — like twice every year.
This evening I checked the Snohomish County Health Dept. web site to see if I could find out any information about restaurant inspections. Turns out, this location was visited by the health department just last month (9÷8÷2015) because of a COMPLAINT! Seriously, you’d think they would clean up their act, but no, there still is food all over the kitchen floor, food left out without being covered, an open package of tortillas on a food prep counter with half of the tortillas sticking out, and, yuckiest of all, live bugs in salads (at least mine).
We won’t be going back.

Man this place is so unbelievably slow. I’m sitting in line at the drive through and I have heard 4 songs already, and I still have time to write all this out. Typically the food is average, for some reason the chicken soft tacos are always smaller than the other taco times. Seriously, still waiting. It’s like this every single time I come here. I think it’s been over 15 minutes now. It’s getting dark outside and I am starving!

SLOWEST. DRIVE THRU. EVER. 20 minutes is too long. I ordered a soft taco and mexi fries. From the time I placed my order and received my order was 20 minutes exactly. There was NO apology for the wait and not even exceptionally nice service at either of the windows. It took over 10 minutes for me to even get to the payment window. Ridiculous. Work on the customer service please.
EDIT: My taco was cold. Even after waiting 20 minutes, you’d think the food would be hot because they were rushing to get things done, but this was not the case. I’m very disappointed.

If I could give negative star, that would be more appropriate. Why does the store owner hire druggies? That call out people in front of customers. They’re not nice people. The managers.

This location has terrible customer service and my food was luke warm at best. The cheese in my burrito was cold and hard!

Went here because it is the closest franchise… I like taco time normally. The dining room looked like it hadn’t been wiped down all day and the guy taking orders was wearing a shirt that looked and smelled as if he hadn’t washed it in days. All the employees take their breaks in the closest booth and act extremely annoying. Maybe they could clean a little instead of slacking off. Would highly recommend going somewhere else if you like your food to be on the safe to eat side of the fence.

This is the first review I’ve ever written… This taco time is the worst. I got sick immediately after eating here. I was on and off the toilet the entire night. I tried to call them numerous time but nobody would answer the phone. Never go here! Its worth the drive to find another taco time.

Got my order wrong several time, I don’t know if it’s the intercom or what but I’m not happy with having to go back and fix my order.

How bad could it be going to a franchise fast food restaurant drive thru? asked for hot sauce none given nor was any napkins the young lady giving me my combo meal looked busy and not friendly at all and there wasn’t anybody even behind me, wow… I recommend skipping this taco time if you want to keep your sanity

I seriously don’t know why I continue to go to this location. I love Taco Time, so this being the closest location to where I live would make sense. The people that work there have bad attitudes and are usually pretty snarky. Tonight was no different. I am so sorry it pains you to take my order and my money. Not once have I gotten a correct order in the few times I have been there. I don’t want to say anything to anyone because I know that it will only create more attitude.
I think I will just travel to Woodinville from here on out. Because there, the employees are friendly, efficient and usually well mannered.

This is the first time I have actually tried Taco Time. I was on vacation and decided to stop and pick up food for my family. We ordered tacos, nachos grande and cinnamon sugar chips. At first when placing the order I thought that the cashier was going to screw it up as my wife is very picky and ordered the nachos grande and tacos a certain way. When I arrived to my hotel all the food was correctly made. The food was delicious and hot. Thank you Taco Time for a great dining experience and will definitely be eating here again during my next visit to the Seattle area.

I love Taco Time, but this location has some of the worst service I’ve experienced at any fast food chain. We’ve been going here for the last 5 years, and they’ve screwed up my order too many times to count. The most recent occurrence resulted in them confirming my order twice, and they still gave me the wrong order. This store is close to where we live, and if it weren’t for that, I wouldn’t ever come back.

Seldomly eat there as Taco Time isn’t quite my cup of tea, but never had a problem or didn’t like the food there.

I’ve always enjoyed Taco Time, but I had taken a long hiatus from from fast Mexi-​food but recently wound up here a few times.
I was impressed with TT’s emphasis on nearly complete recyclable materials efforts, even with explicit directions on how to dispose of the ‘non-​recylables’ (like the plastic cups for sauce).
This store on all 3 visits service was prompt, quick accurate. Store was moderately clean. Friendly service.
I also appreciate the emphasis on local products, and their ‘highlighting’ of their ingredients.
On the down side, this is not a value play, prices are on the high side. The ‘meal deals’ are ok, ASSUMING you want a fountain drink. If they would quit assuming no one just wants water and gave me a value for a natural taco+mexi fries I’d probably eat here ALOT more often. As it is, I can pay about the same and go down to Jaliscos and get full table service and a real meal.
So I’m going with 3 stars, the +1green offsets the –1value.
