The younger lady with the tattoos gave us the best experience we have ever had in a bar. It must run in the business that most bar keeps are either very rude or intoxicated. Her service and smile were very genuine and because of that we will make the trek to Boulder City more often. She is an asset to your establishment. Wish we could say the same for the others

Good dive bar! Not my fav ever but pretty good for BC. Lots of local color to talk with. I was a bit taken back walking in and seeing most the people puffing cigs. I’m a vapor and don’t mind cig smoke, so it was nice to sip a beer and be able to vape. Service is pretty good, but varies a bit based on the bartender.

I love dive bars and the Backstop didn’t disappoint. It’s very smoky inside and according to my boyfriend who’s lived in Boulder all his life it’s smelled that way for over 30 years. It wasn’t very busy for a Saturday night but there was a good band cranking out rock and roll and hair band metal from the 70s and 80s. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks weren’t overpriced. There are several pool tables and dart boards if that’s your thing. Bonus: the ladies’ restroom was very clean!

Stopped here after a long hike in Bootleg Canyon. Had a cold beer Lagunitas IPA to be exact. Said beer was only 4 buck, cant beat that… I would give a more in depth review but just a had a beer and boned out…

This is the best bar in bc! Friendly bartenders, so many games and lots of fun. Don’t forget to play the dice game. No food and cash only, but they do have some snacks available and an atm. I highly recommend.

Nice bar bartenders always treat friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced atmosphere is good. They have a pool table, skeet table, video games. Live bands at times you would have to call to find out when?
They do need to replace the Dart Board as it is totally trashed and sometimes you need to unplug it to get it to reset so it’ll work. That’s the only bummer for me because I’m a big dart player. Definitely a good place to bring a large group of friends as there is space to party and the diversity in this bar makes it very interesting which makes it more of a blast to be at.

We just finished a visit in the hover dam and serched for a place to see the super bowl. We found this place on Unilocal even though it was a little too smoky we the drinks were cheap as hell. If you find yourself in bolder city you must go visit.

Stopped by here one night during a random trip to Boulder City. We walked by and saw the sign but had no idea what it would be like because there are no windows. Upon entering we realized it was a local dive type bar and I immediately worried everyone was going to stop what they were doing, turn around, and look at us like «Who the heck are these people?» but thankfully that was not the case! The bartender was very friendly and our beers where cheap. We played a round of the video hunting game and went on our way. If I’m in the area I would come back for a casual beer and play some pool, darts, or video games!

Bartenders are friendly, drinks are cheap, & there’s pool, darts, & shuffleboard. It’s smoky as hell, but come on, it’s a dive bar in a truly small town. I repeat: it’s a a dive bar in a truly small town. What more do you want? (P.S. for beer snobs: Lagunitas for $ 3.50 each?!? Whaaaaaat?!)

How can The Backstop have 4 stars? Omg, the place is a dump. The bartenders are nasty and the barback doesn’t wash his hands before touching the glasses. This place should be shut down. What a disgrace to the city of Boulder City.

Never seen anything like this place. Bartenders are falling down drunk and they will keep serving drinks to customers who are obviuosly way over the limit. Any kind of behavior is allowed including fighting, very bad language and drug use. Avoid this dump.

The place would be cool if the Bartenders were not comletely shit faced to the point where they can’t take an order. Its ok though, I took my aggressions out on the punching machine an broke the world record.

I think the reason no one has reviewed this place is probably because most people that frequent it don’t use computers. The only bar in Boulder and has the makings for an incredible night. When I’m in town I loved going because no one cares about what you do, but are just there to have a good time. The shuffleboard table is AWESOME and free! For less than $ 20 you could easily not be able to drive home.
