This is an A++ barbershop — great cut, fair prices, good selection of magazines, all age customer base, right downtown in walking distance to all the fun stuff in Boulder City, extended hours, two TVs if sports is your thing, and best of all, this is not a salon or a styling joint, this is a barbershop.

Every haircut my husband has had since moving to Boulder city has been in Frank’s. He does a great job, remembers my family, gave my son his first haircut for free. We always come here.

Lived in BC for 7 years and went to Frank every 6 or 8 weeks(I’m 74& not much hair left). He did fine for a long time, then he almost scalped me a year ago. My last haircut there in Sep 15, he DID scalp me(all I ask is medium on top and short in back and on sides). Since then I’ve cut my own hair with a beard shaver and done better than Frank. I think he just doesn’t like me … he didn’t speak a word last time. Scalping may just be his way of getting rid of an unwanted customer. For that he deserves no stars, but I gave him two because for about 6 years he did just fine. If you’re not into sports, you may be persona non grata in this shop … he has TWOTV sets going on sports channels at the same time. I say let him eat cake. Try the other two shops in town or go down the hill.

Throughout most of the year I cut my own hair. I just buzz it and call it a day. But for the last several months I have been letting my hair grow out. I was starting to look a little shaggy with my unmanageable curls and a scruffy beard. With Christmas approaching quickly I decided it was time I see a barber for the first time in years. Oh, where to go? After some research, I decided to head to Boulder City. I saw just a couple of reviews on Franks but they were solid reviews and I knew this was the place for me. It is a good traditional barber shop. Small with only three chairs. There is no shortage of sports memorabilia, antique barber equipment and other assorted antiques. And of course the trademark barber pole. I almost fell at home except this place is even smaller than my home town barber shop. There were two barbers on hand when I went in. Both were with other clients at the time so I waited a few minutes until my turn came around. Frank, the business’ name sake, was the first available and and I was quickly seated in perhaps the most comfortable barber chair I have ever been in. Slightly reclined with a resting place for my feet. What a chair. I even remarked to Frank how comfortable a chair it is. He asked me what I was looking to do with my hair. I said that I wanted my sides and back cleaned up so as not to look so shaggy. I also asked him to do something about my bald spot. The latter request was received by laughter and not attended to. An appropriate response to what was most clearly a joke on my part. The rest of my requests, however, were handled with care and I walked out of there a new man. Or the same old Jared with a new hair cut in any case. The important thing is, Frank did a good job. He is professional and friendly. Good with his customers whether they be new like me or regulars on a first name basis like the men before and after me. Franks is a great old fashioned barber in an old fashioned town.

I stop by here a few months ago to get a quick buzz and I must say it was done professionally, no complaints, highly recommend if you come visit BC.

Awesome little shop off the beaten path of Las Vegas. I drove out here for a shave and Frank delivered. Nice hot towels and lather followed by a precise shave from a master barber. After that, a nice cold towel and some classic aftershave. I felt like a true gent after leaving. Next time I will have to get a haircut. If you’re in the mood for a little drive and a nice shave or cut, head out to Frank’s.
