Augustina’s Winery

I can’t believe anyone would ever call this place the worst winery in existence. I absolutely LOVED the wine and the owner was just amazing. I feel so lucky we stumbled into this little gem.
When we showed up, we didn’t know it was a day she didn’t normally do tastings. However, she invited us in and let us have do one anyway. I have to say this is some of the best wine I’ve ever had, especially for the price. We tried all of them, and I didn’t have any I didn’t like. However, I am madly in love with the Rosé especially, and the Frontenac was delightful as well. Almost all the wines cost less than $ 20 a bottle.
I was so amazed by her passion for wine and how delightfully pleasant she was to us. This location was a little tricky to find, so I am especially glad we managed to find it. I highly recommend coming on a Saturday to do a tasting and check this place out. Tastings are $ 5 per person, but you get that back if you buy a bottle of wine. Score!

Gussie the owner is super cool, this is a great spot to stop at after a day of mountain biking. The wines are easy to drink, the atmosphere laid back, we really love stopping in whenever were in town. I have no idea what that other reviewer is talking about? Did they come to Augustina’s thinking they were going to some snobby pretentious spot? Its super laid back and everybody is nice. My girlfriend loves it and makes all of her girlfriends meet up here when we come in town. Check it out!
