Basemar Laundromat

I just used this laundromat. It stinks, it is filthy, most washers are out of order and the dryer stopped and had to be re-​started every 3 minutes. Worst laundry I’ve even used!

Since my last post in February 2014.
* All new dryers
* 90% washing machines are working
* Credit Card Readers now on all washers and dryers
* Space has been cleaned and painted
* The bathroom has been remodeled.
The prices went up a bit, however the latest improvements justify the increase. The place is packed and my wife and I find it better to come either very early in the mornings around 7:00am or late in the evening around 8:00pm.
The place had so much character in the past… The new gray, white, and black motif needs the mural back.
A few things.
* Air-​conditioning /​swamp cooler needs to be fixed.
* I’m guessing most customers spend 1 – 3 hours doing their laundry, it would be beneficial to promote reading or install a book exchange!
* Don’t install TVs! Use that money for a better sound system! The variety of music played by the employees deserves a better speaker system. Better yet, a weekly acoustic performance would draw a crowd and set a good tone.
* Be that different laundromat that existed years back.
* Thanks for upgrading and keeping the place clean and operational!

Easy to use with a credit card reader!

I love this place. My first experience with a laundromat in Boulder was horrific. This place is clean with a welcome feeling. There are card readers on all the washers and dryers, which makes laundry day much less stressful. The manager takes such pride in his work. It is a refreshing change of pace.

This laundromat is under new ownership. They’ve put in new dryers, added card readers to the machines, and redone the bathroom. They also jacked up the prices to pay for it all — it’s now 5 minutes per quarter on the dryers. Worst of all the place is absolutely filthy. It makes me feel gross just being in there. And there is never, never any soap in the bathroom.
If the attendant spent as much time cleaning as he does chatting up women, this place would be sparkling.

I have been using this laundromat for the past few months. It’s clean & conveniently located near my home. However, the parking is disappointing, and when it’s busy I have to carry my laundry quite a distance, because there is no available spaces. Also, there are no single load washers for smallers loads, another downside to this place. Some of the washers have a system to pay with a debit or credit card, but it’s confusing & unclear which ones accept cards & which ones don’t. Was a huge hassle today, because I put my laundry in the dryer & started it with a few quarters in my pocket, then i wanted to add time to the dryer with my card. Unfortunately, the dryer i was using didn’t accept cards (even though there was a card reader & an arrow pointing to my dryer). Then the employee on duty tried to give me a long, drawn-​out explaination about the card reader & why my machine didn’t accept cards. I ended up having to drive to an atm, take money out of my account & come back & get 20 $ worth of quarters just to add 1 $ worth of time to my machine. Incidently, one quarter gets you 5 minutes, kind of over priced compared to what most laundromats charge. I will be looking for a new place to wash my clothes, even if I have to drive further. There has to be a better place somewhere in Boulder.

The Good:
This location was a different laundromat for years and I’m happy to say the new one is much cleaner, with new machines.
We drop off our laundry here for wash-​dry-​fold at the best prices around. Our clothes are always beautifully clean, PERFECTLY folded and ready the next day.
The Bad:
Wash-​dry-​fold has more limited hours than the do-​it-​yourself laundromat — pick –up and drop-​off is open only after 5 PM. We work around the hours — it’s a great price, great service, and they do a great job!
The Service:
Andrew is awesome! He takes great care with our clothes and folds them beautifully. Everything comes back clean and in great shape, with my boyfriend’s and my clothes thoughtfully separated in different bags.
Overall: Highly recommended for do-​it-​yourself or wash-​dry-​fold service. We did a lot of research and this is our regular spot, we go every week!

New owner has upgraded a lot and is installing a credit card system for washers and dryers. No more pounds of quarters. Hooray!

Nice laundry mat. I would have given it a 5 if their hot water worked… If you select hot water, just be aware that the water is ice cold.

Asking users to write a Unilocal review when logging into your wifi is genius. Props.
I’ve only been to two laundromats in town and this is my first time at this one. Most of the machines are in order, prices are the same as the one other place I’ve visited, there’s a bathroom, change machine, rolly carts and tables/​chairs to both hang out and fold at.
Bonus points for outdoor seating, pretty good music and of course — free wifi. Would return and would suggest.

Did some laundry here while I was visiting in CO. Kind of hard to find if you use Apple Maps [Apple Craps]. Parking is limited, but you can park on the other side of the plaza and walk over between the buildings. If someone tries to steal your clothes, remind them they are on camera. There’s about 8 security cameras. Some guy tried to steal another guys shorts while I was there. So odd. Luckily, he got them back.
I guess some driers give you more time on them then others [some 8, 10, 12] per quarter so if you frequent this place, may as well try to find them!

Great little spot to get your laundry done. Free wifi and tons of tables and chairs to get work done while getting your clothes done. Plenty of washer and dryer sizes to choose from as well. ATM was out of order and it’s not the cheapest spot I’ve ever done my laundry but over all a great spot.

Laundromats are not my favorite places but they are sometimes necessary, in this case because my dryer broke and it took a week to get the part. I bring oversized items here a few times a year too.
This place is clean, usually has enough parking and machines and most washers usually work. There is free wifi. The water is not warm enough on most of the settings on the washers though. They don’t always open on time on the weekends.
I have tried several places in town but none are as convenient or any better than this place.
