I plan to file a complaint with DORA regarding this experience in Dr. Swan’s office. His office has neglected to respond to my complaints and continues to bill me (and the insurance company) in full for a time reduced treatment session that was inappropriate. My suggestion? Investigate thoroughly any Osteopath or provider of Cranio Sacral Therapy — I’ve received more quality care from practitioners who do NOT define themselves as DO’s but rather CST practitioner’s. I’ve experienced both Biodynamic and Upledger, with more compassion and attention than I experienced in Dr. Swan’s office. Listening to him talk about food/​restaurants in other states is not how I choose to receive healing treatment.

I have seen Dr. Swan bi-​monthly for about three years, for maintenance related to an old whiplash injury that gets inflamed sitting at a computer. I went through a half-​dozen other practitioners before finding Dr. Swan, and have been extremely happy with my treatment and progress. He has an uncanny ability to find the root point of tension and release it, which gives me freedom of movement I wouldn’t have otherwise.
I think like any relationship, it has to be a good fit, and this one really works for me. I have recommended him to friends and family.
