I rented a house via BPS in Louisville, CO for 1.5 years. The maintenance was poor and the the owner of BPS is very poor at communication. Upon expiration of my lease, I asked to go month to month, and was told no. I agreed to sign a new lease, but was unable to get in contact with anyone at BPS to do so. I emailed and call multiple times and offered to send it via email, but they wanted me to sign it in person. I setup multiple dates to sign in person that all got canceled by BPS. I ended up just paying rent for 6 months before giving a 30 day notice. Once I gave my notice, they tried to tell me I had a lease, at which point they went through their records and realized that a lease was never signed.
I had cleaners come clean the house and cleaned the carpets myself. After leaving, I was told my deposit would be mailed to my new location. A full 2 months after I left (and one month after the end of my 30 day notice) I still haven’t received my deposit. I called multiple times and even talked to someone once who said the «check was in the mail».
The owner’s phone doesn’t accept voice mail, and he is very sporadic with email response. The only way to get through is you have to call repeatedly until he answers the phone.
If I were you, I’d Google BPS and read a few more reviews that you’ll find on the net. You’ll see that my experience is not unique, but rather how BPS does business. And, for one more data point, the guy renting the place I was in before me once had a package sent to my house by family with his old address; When he came to pick it up, he warned me that leaving was going to be an issue and specifically said «good luck getting your deposit back».
