Carpet Exchange

We were very pleased with our recent carpet purchase and installation through Carpet Exchange. Lea Sissel was a pleasure to work with, very responsive to our questions, and made the whole process extremely simple. Order to install time was very quick. The installers they sent out were great too — communicated with us the day of to keep us posted on their arrival time and really paid attention to the details in their work carpeting two staircases for us. Their price ended up comparable to other quotes we considered too. Overall, very happy and would use again!

I would rate 0 stars if possible. These guys seem like criminals — after being told my rug would be in after 2 weeks and that I’d be contacted when it came in, I waited 5 weeks and then eventually called them.
They told me it had come in and they’d forgotten to let me know. I went in to the store to pick it up, and it was the completely wrong rug. Without apology they told me that the new rug would be in within another week and they would call me when it came in. I waited another 4 weeks with no calls.
Fed up from waiting 2 months to get my rug, I called to get my money back. The person I talked to was very skeptical and doubted that I should get my money back. He originally said he would only refund my money from the rug and not the rug grip which he was sure I had taken already. (I had not — why would I need a rug grip without the rug?)
I was told my money would be refunded within a week, if how things have gone is any indication, I will get my money back in about a year…

I went to carpet exchange looking for carpet and tile for four rooms in our house. Initially they were helpful in the store and let us take samples home to look at. We had someone come out to look at the house to give us an estimate. We waited for three weeks before we finally got any estimates from carpet exchange. We also called them multiple times to follow up with our estimate and they always «took a message» for us but our sales guy almost never called us back. It took him weeks to answer emails. Finally, we switched to a different carpet exchange to get the work done because we could not wait any longer. It was unfortunate to have such poor customer service. We are planning on spending a lot of money to renovate our floors and ultimately we had to take our time and money elsewhere.

I highly recommend Mark Smith at Carpet Exchange in Boulder for all of your flooring needs. Mark has a very high level of integrity, patience, and resolve in helping you find the right flooring for your project. He’s done an absolutely wonderful job for our construction company and just recently helped us select flooring personally. I was impressed by his patience as I worked through the flooring processes, selecting numerous samples, ordering extra samples, bringing them back and then shooting off in a new direction. He carried flooring materials/​samples outside into the sunlight and set them up against various surfaces (stone etc) so that I could see their true color. Mark even laid them out one piece at a time emphasizing how they tend to look different alone vs. lying next to other flooring samples. I never felt rushed or pressured and found his comments and suggestions very useful/​even indispensable. Mark’s very easy to communicate with both in getting your questions answered and by quickly responding to emails. In the end, we were thrilled with the rich, natural look of our laminate flooring.
