Pretty crappy haircut… i guess I’ll just wear a hat for a few weeks until the missing chunk of hair behind my left ear grows back and i can do it all over again, she also didn’t want to hand me a mirror to look at the back and I don’t blame her. I do a better job on myself with my Costco bought Wahl. But I don’t charge 14 bucks plus tip…

I guess you get what you pay for. I got a cut from Isabella and was quite disappointed. She did not listen to me about what I wanted, and her cutting style was a strange mix of being hurried and also not confident. At one point she said«hmmm…”-as though unsure of how to proceed, and then asked someone else for help. By the end I just told her I liked it so that she wouldn’t cut it too short. I guess they don’t blow dry either, as she left it wet and unsettled. I may give them another chance but I would ask for a more experienced stylist.

Came in at the end of the day and got a great haircut. The line up was good and the haircut was relatively short. I’ll be back.

I’m so relieved to find a Colorado version of Hair Cuttery! This particular one had an 80’s groove going on today, with clothes and hair styles. It was quite amusing, but I’m not sure if it was intentional. My hair grows fast, and I shed like crazy, so I need to keep it short. Like, really short, which means monthly visits, which can get pricy at the ‘nicer’ salons. My profile photo? My hair isn’t as short as I prefer in it. I always had a hard time getting that across to stylists in Virginia, mostly due to the language barrier, so I uploaded a photo of Emma Watson in her pixie cut stage and began showing it to them to save frustration on both our parts. It works enough to get them to understand that I’m ok with only an inch of hair on my head. At Cost Cutters Tessa got my cut EXACTLY like the photo. It’s possibly the first time I’ve actually had this cut. She was also the first stylist to tell me I don’t actually have dandruff but dry scalp and to look for shampoos that will correct that.(of course she recommended a brand they sell, but didn’t push too hard.) It was a bit of a wait for late Monday morning, but there were plenty of seats and a classic rock station going. There’s an unclaimed scarf hanging on the coat tree. Blue and white. Are you missing yours? That’s where you left it.

This weekend was the second time I went here for a haircut. The first time was about a year ago, when Northside Barbers was closed on Sunday, and I needed a cut. I am a man that just needs a buzz cut short, no scissors… about as basic as you can get. When I got home after my haircut, I saw tons of straggler hairs, because they only took about 7 minutes to cut my hair. I was miffed, but just said i wouldn’t go again. This past weekend I received a $ 10 off coupon, so I thought I would give it a try again. Unfortunately I had the same experience. Just needed a buzz cut, they only took a few minutes, and when I looked in my car mirror more closely, there were lots of spots that were missed, and I had a mild Mohawk down the middle, because they didn’t bother to take more than one pass with the buzzer. Overall, very disappointing. I wouldn’t go back if it was free. No training, no pride in the results they are putting out, and just a plain bad haircut. If you’re a guy, I recommend Northside Barbers across the street next to the bread company. Similar price, much better results, and a good barbershop atmosphere.

I just got an all over color and hair cut at the Cost Cutters on Arapahoe and it was a wonderful experience. I called and was able to book an appointment(they do appointments for color and perm). My stylist Ashley was professional and efficient. I got a great haircut and my grays are gone and for half the price of other Boulder salons.

I’m absurdly vain. I get a haircut every week. And this is the place I go. It’s not a fancy-pants place with an accent in the name or severe-looking stylists prowling the premises, just waiting to salvage your coif. It’s just a really friendly place to get a nice haircut for a nice price. They don’t play profoundly loud music, they don’t try to sell you a stack of garbage. The stylists are all awesome(I don’t even have a preference, since they’re all peachy.) So, yeah. Good haircuts, friendly staff, normal prices and it’s next to the grocery store, so I can pick up a box of Capri Sun on my way home. So perfecto!
