I’ve been going to CU for years and usually buy/rent my books on . During summer classes due to the pace there isn’t enough time to allow for shipping from amazon so I decided to rent my books from the bookstore. I rented an expensive sociology book that was in good condition, but it had a small green ink stain on the bottom I figured it didn’t really matter so I rented it anyways. A month passed and I decided to return the book– my class was online and only for a month plus I never really used the book that much anyways it just sat on my bookshelf collecting dust. But when I came to return my book I got charged for damages for the green ink stain. I tried to explain to the guy there is absolutely no possible way I stained the book because I only work with black and red ink(also I take all my notes on my laptop so I don’t even really use ink that often except for my agenda book), but he wouldn’t listen and placed the blame on me rather than their crappy book shop for not finding this stain before they put it on shelves. I continued to rent books for my current summer term because it started today and he had the gall to tell me not to stain any of them with more green ink. I can’t say with absolute certainty they won’t charge me for damages for all the books I got today, but I can say with absolute certainty that I will never shop there again.

This is the worst bookstore in the history of mankind. I think it’s a monopoly that’s run by the university. I have nothing against the university, but this operation needs to go. The customer service is horrible, and they have ridiculous return policies. You’d think you would be able to return a book in a longer time frame than 48 hours. But, that’s their policy. I think it needs to be changed. It’s time this bookstore starts helping out students instead of hurting them.

Terrible Awful Disgusting People. Also known as: 36UCB Boulder, CO, 80309US /ols@cubookstore. These people are 3rd party sellers on Amazon currently known as «ralphiebooks», wonder how long that will take to change after this… I ordered a college text book, paid expedited shipping and it arrived late, they refused to give me a refund on some bs. Do not ever trust shipments from here to out of state. They might be the worst scum of the earth I have ever dealt with. I filled 1 claim and 1 rule violation and I am reporting them to the ICC(FBI Internet Fraud Dep.) and writing these reviews. If the claim does not go through I will appeal until the cows come home, but RIGHT is on my side. No one should ever have to suffer the injustice I did. I read other seller reviews and they are very similar to mine. They have no regard for fellow humans life and time. A «Mickey» aka(Michael(Mickey) Glantz, the Director of the Consortium for Capacity Building(CCB), located within the Environmental Studies Program(ENVS) and Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research(INSTAAR) of the University of Colorado Boulder(CU) corresponded with me. BEWARE! STAYAWAY!

A great spot for your CU gear, but you can find better deals on Pearl or the Hill on CU gear. The staff is usually friendly and knowledgeable, and if you catch them having a sale its a great deal. I dont know why they sell starbucks and other sundries there considering you can buy that upstairs.

Not to be mistaken for the Colorado Book Store. CU Bookstore is owned by the University, obviously since it’s inside the UMC, unlike the Colorado Book Store which is on The Hill. Most of the store has been renovated a few years ago when they built the new add on in the UMC. They have probably the most CU memorabilia you can find in Boulder. So it’s definitely a good place to go to find souvenirs for your family or just CU stuff for you room. They also will have all the books you will need for class there because your professors send them all their books that they will require you to buy that year. F.Y.I., don’t try to steal anything there. I used to work there, and their security team is awesome there, they catch a few people a DAY stealing.
