I first transferred to Flatirons Bank about one year ago. I met with Maureen, she helped me open my checking account and answered all of my questions. When I need something done besides just cashing a check or something of that nature, I always try to deal with her. She helped me fill out the papers when I was becoming a Notary and also was very helpful when I opened my savings account because I did not have the minimum balance in hand and she waived it for six months. And even though I am hardly ever there, she always says, «Hi, Ian» as soon as I walk in. The rest of the staff here is also very friendly and I have never had a negative experience. I absolutely love the way that their checking accounts work. It is pretty straightforward: there are no confusing fees and you get to use any ATM for free, which is really my favorite thing about this bank. They only have one ATM and I am pretty sure it is only accessible during normal business hours, so I do not think that it would be very practical to bank here if they did not refund the fees for other bank’s ATM machines. I wish they had more lines of credit available to people who are trying to build their credit. Also, their online banking requires you to change your password fairly often and for some reason I get locked out after I change it even though I know I have the correct password. These are the only two things I do not like about Flatirons and they are both somewhat minor.
