Super gross! I got the dragon tacos or whatever they’re called… I should have read better, so partially my fault, but she recommended them… Kim chi(which I love) should not be on steak tacos, ick!!! The steak was super tough and chewy, the tortillas were thick and tough as well, the Kim chi was disgusting, and I the think there were a bunch of carrots on top? Very dry, tough and just gross. For $ 15! Probably to make up the cost of the random servers(?) Standing around doing nothing, bc this is an order at the counter place… very weird.

Great healthy food. If you follow a gluten free diet, this establishment is heaven as every menu item is gluten free. It is pricey, but good healthy food is pricey these days. Their ‘Diva Salad’ is amazing, and so is the steak and veggie sides. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The Good: I like their style — for when you want a healthy, casual meal in a nicer setting but without traditional slower waiter service, and also want a glass of wine(or tea, coffee, kombucha, beer, cider or gluten-free beer). — oh, and when you want to drop a bit of cash. This is what people new to Boulder think of as «so Boulder, but the likes of which hasn’t actually existed until recently. The girl at the counter told us the entire menu is gluten-free & dairy-free except where specially stated(e.g. «Gluten beers», «while milk mozzarella». I liked the bight, open, modern interior. There’s a variety of seating & eating options — sit at the side bar counter or at a table); order the pre-prepared items or off the made-to-order kitchen menu. The Bad: Expensive. Our lunch was $ 40 bucks not including tip — for my small salad, small mac & cheese, house wine; & boyfriend’s chicken, beets, Brussels salad & beer. The Food: Surprisingly tasty for vegan, gluten-free«mac & cheese» w/nut-free pesto. Different flavor & textures than traditional of course — noodles are soft, pesto isn’t nutty or creamy, but again it was actually good. My garden salad didn’t have the radishes listed on the menu(bummer — missing one of five ingredients). The Service: Counter service, order at register & pay right away(yay no waiting on waiters!) However our food wasn’t ready or delivered at the same time, we got silverware with our(last-delivered) meal not before. Everyone seems really young who works there and lacking in experience & professionalism — lots of standing around & chatting amongst themselves in front of customers. Lots of staff but lackluster service. But they do bus your table! Overall: Neat concept, nice interior, healthy & tasty food but a bit overpriced with room for improvement on the service side.

Amazing, fresh food. Everything I’ve ever ordered here was phenomenal. Caters to almost any allergy need without sacrificing flavor. Everything is local and organic and they really care about what goes into the food. A great place to grab dinner when you don’t feel like cooking, I often stop here for a protein and 2 sides at least once a week. My favorite place to eat in Boulder

A neat little spot in Boulder as we finished up out shopping on Pearl Street. This place was so busy and I’m not sure if they were stressed with being understaffed or just kinda rude. There was one sweet waitress, I wish I caught her name. My friends and I each enjoyed our meal. I got the fall harvest pizza(chicken sausage, kale, bacon, butternut squash and goat cheese on gf crust). It was so yummy! My friends got the Mac and cheese, wings and chicken. I love places like this. Funky atmosphere(supes hipster) and variety for us with food allergies. I’d definitely go again.

This place constantly disappoints. I pop in every few months because it is convenient to my office — and then remember why I don’t go more. The menu offerings are confusing, the food is over-seasoned, half of the staff are unfriendly and the prices are out of control! I will not be returning.

I LOVE the bone broth… the beef ginger, in particular. Be sure to put the cilantro chive mixture in – this stuff is soothing beyond — sit back and enjoy in the large Mason jar(they give you a cozy) while you take in a view of the Front Range…

Great service, atmosphere and food! I asked the cashier a million questions and she humored me through all of them. Cozy little restaurant, when we went on a Friday night it was tough to find seating but there seemed to always be the perfect amount of tables open. The food was tasty and fresh. I got the small Mac & cheese with sausage and mushrooms. I haven’t had Mac and cheese in years and it was amazing! The sausage was a little spicy for my wimpy taste buds though. The portions looked small but in the end I could hardly finish it because it was so rich. I can’t wait to go back!

Wanted to love this place as I like the concept but since it’s a restaurant I’m here to review the food. I ordered Mac and chz for my daughter and I was pissed to find out after getting it and asking that it was fake vegan Mac n chZ. Not everyone wants their kids eating fake weird vegan«cheese» products. It doesn’t indicate on the menu that it’s not real Mac n chz. The ginger garlic beef broth was way too salty. Burger was ok but had to be eaten without top of bun. Side kale salad that comes with the burger is fine. The spicy chicken pizza my husband got was pretty great. Nice place I’ll go back because due to the cafeteria style layout i don’t feel nervous having my kids there being kids and next time I’d try a glass of wine.

FINALLY a place where I don’t have to worry about having an allergy attack.(Celiac Disease and dairy allergy. Ugh!) I have never had a bad meal at Fresh Thymes Eatery and the staff seems willing to make adjustments for vegans, which was a huge plus for me and my plant-based friends. My recommendations for the veg-crowd: — Dragon Tacos(substitute mushrooms or tempeh for meat) — Mac Attack(additions: pesto and tomatoes) — Garbanzo Flatbread (There are many more vegan/vegetarian-friendly items on the menu, but those are my favorites so far.) Pros: 1. Local /sustainable 2. Variety of menu items to choose from 3. Dairy-free options 4. Vegan/Vegetarian options 5. 100% gluten-free 6. Yummy probiotic drinks in the fridge 7. Casual, farm-chic atmosphere(without being pretentious or hipster) Cons: 1. Can be pricy(I think the cost is justified in the quality of the ingredients.) 2. The restaurant itself can be a little cold, temperature-wise. 3. Sometimes, there is a little inconsistency in the food, like overusing oils or fats.

Service was efficient and friendly ! During lunch there are so many options to choose from it is hard to choose. I want to try everything. All the entrees and sides are healthy and full of flavor. I am becoming more and more a regular customer. Support local!

This places feels like moms kitchen. The food is clearly high quality and made with lots of love. It tastes as tho they use minimal salt, which can make it seem less rich than average restaurant food. The staff is extremely accommodating to any food allergies you may have and will recommend dishes that fit your needs.

Ok. I have probably been here 2 dozen times or so since they opened. I live near-by so it’s convenient, plus how can you argue with a gluten-free, paleo-friendly menu, right? I’m going to give it to you straight. So disappointed right now that I’m actually upset. I just ordered a take-out pizza with EVOO, tomatoes, sausage and goat cheese and it was about an 8 in. Pie for $ 14+. If I weren’t starving, I’d throw this pizza out! It was so slimy and limp that I couldn’t even pick up the pieces to eat it like a pizza. I had to use utensils. Plus, the GF dough was more like super thin bread that has been sitting in water. I’m really frustrated by how inconsistent the quality of good and service is here. I’ve had interactions with a particular manager that made me never want to return(but I still do.) I once waited so long for my food with my girlfriends that we missed the movie we were planning to see. The service is dreadfully slow. I get the premise and support it whole-heartedly, but come on! The prices are out of control. I could easily spend nearly $ 30 on lunch just for me here just to feel satiated. Thanks for listening. I’ll keep supporting you but will never get that slimy sausage dough pie again. :(

This fast-casual restaurant is the best gluten-free restaurant in Boulder. It’s 100% gluten-free(really!), so you don’t have to worry about shared oils or cross-contamination. And it’s a bargain! I don’t get the other reviewers who said this place was over-priced, because it’s not. Case in point: You can get a protein and two sides for like $ 15.00. Try getting the same quality of food made in a 100% gluten– and peanut-free facility at the hot bar at Whole Foods. Impossible. Besides, Fresh Thymes serves organic and locally sourced food that’s non-GMO and really-for-real gluten free. You can’t find that quality of food at that price anywhere else in Boulder. Seriously. I’m a huge fan of their slow-cooked pork with their chickpea flatbread.

This place unfortunately opened right after I moved away from Boulder so it took almost two years before I could try it out but I finally got my chance! First of all it is a dream come true to have a restaurant that is completely gluten-free. That alone is worth the price of admission if you are a person with food sensitivities. We were greeted almost immediately by a woman working there who was so nice and had a great smile. She gave us the breakdown of the ordering process and the food options and left us to look over the menu a bit. The ambiance in the restaurant is great and the lighting is really golden and soothing. The liquor license is a bit bizarre and if you order alcohol you have to stay inside and can’t go on their patio(that is a Boulder thing though so I won’t hold that against them). The food was vibrant, colorful, and fresh with good flavor. The only thing I didn’t like so much was the beet salad but to be fair I only ordered that with my burger because the usual kale salad they serve was unavailable at the time, I’m not big on beets to begin with. The Mac Attack however was the bomb. Highly recommend it for people who usually steer clear of Mac and Cheese due to being gluten-free or vegan(this version is both GF and vegan!) Staff was super friendly and welcoming. They also have great takeaway options in their cooler like potions from Shine(another Boulder establishment), pork lard, bone broth, and local kombucha and water keifer. They also are a community funded restaurant, meaning they allow people to invest in their restaurant and in return receive credit that can be used for meals at the restaurant. This place just has so many good things going for it, I wish them all the success they can handle.

Fresh Thymes Eatery is the BESTOFBOULDER I repeat the BESTOFBOULDER. The town has had an itch for this place for decades they just didn’t know it yet. Everything that you want in food comes forward at Fresh Thymes. Quick and easy ordering followed by healthy, local, FRESH, gluten-free food provides for an experience only a bubble like Boulder can provide. You don’t eat meat? Perfect! Grab the seasonal veggie sandwich or tempeh tacos both guaranteed to delight an eager palette! Hungry and Happy? Stop in for 2 for $ 6 Dragon tacos, 2 for $ 5 tempeh tacos, $ 2 dollar fritters, or LOGAN’S WORLDFAMOUSRIOTWINGS for just $ 1.50(best sauce in town). Feeling a little bit more on the wild side? $ 1 off all beer including Upslope and Omission as well as glasses of house wine for just $ 3.50(big glasses ;)) Fresh Thymes most certainly has my favorite happy hour! Happy Hour runs from4:30PM — 6:30PMMON-SAT! This is a restaurant committed to providing efficient, quality service. Their food is in no way compromised by their speed. In today’s day and age it is very hard to stay healthy living such busy lives. Fresh Thymes takes all that pressure off your back by providing food and drink at a pace reminiscent of Usain Bolt in the Olympics. The only catch is this food will make you feel wonderful! Don’t forget to check out the cold cooler for drinks including; home/brew tea, kombucha, horchata, bitters, elixirs, and magic potions taboot. Plenty of literature available on health diet practices as well. Don’t forget it’s ALLGLUTEN-FREE. FRESHTHYMES=BESTOFBOULDER

Love this place! Came here for dinner — service is super quick, there are so many fantastic options for gluten-free/paleo/vegetarian/whatever, I had trouble deciding what to get! Ended up with the 1 protein + 2 sides option. the grilled chicken with pesto was amazing, as were the roasted carrots. I didn’t care too much for the turkish salad with cabbage, carrots, and celery, but the rest of the meal made up for it. Their desserts section is also amazing! I had a magic bar, which was totally gluten and dairy free. Think I went to dessert heaven…

I really want to love Fresh Thymes but I have a huge issue with the customer service, consistency of flavors, and overall prices. For one, this is a great option for someone who has a restricted diet of any sort. This is the place for you. They have a «pick 3» items on their counter which consist of protein options and salad options. The options change every day and are undoubtedly fresh — I just think the price for how much you get is off. I always leave hungry and a little unsatisfied. If you are going to charge $ 12 – 14(without a beverage) this should never be the case. The pulled pork in a red broth is absolutely crave-worthy, but the flavors differ from day-to-day so drastically that I never know what I am getting. It’s really tasty when it has enough salt and spice to it. Some days it is completely bland and I end up throwing half out. My comment with the customer service is that everyone who rings me up seems to hate their life. I rarely receive a smile, no one seems super knowledgeable on the food when you ask a question, and I just leave with an all-around cold experience. Again, this place has a ton of potential. The atmosphere is really pleasant and there is usually parking. I just think there are some things that need to be tweaked in order to make it a place I would go out of my way to go to.
