Gypsy Jewel is probably my most favorite store in all the world. When we moved to Boulder a few years ago I by chance went in one day, I mean it’s hard to walk by and not go in. They have the most eclectic and beautiful collection of jewelry I’ve ever seen. It’s treasure upon treasure. What makes it even better is the wonderful and caring family who owns the store. They are always connecting and always so full of love. Now that we’ve moved to Austin, every time I need a gift, or want a gift for myself Gypsy Jewel is always the place I want to go! Don’t pass this place by, I promise you won’t regret it!

I can’t resist stopping into this enchanted shop when I’m in the area and there always seems to be a little treasure that speaks to me. 80% of my extensive ring collection must be from Gypsy Jewel! The wonderful family that runs the place is very patient with me as I try on dozens of pieces before making my final selection. Thanks for being a magical place to shop and visit!

An amazing family owned and run shop with hand picked, one of a kind goods from around the world, hand made jewelry, and always great help from whomever is working. I highly recommend coming here, as I have for years, whenever I’m looking for a gift for a loved one, or decorating my own home. Thanks Gypsy Jewel!

Let me preface what I’m about to say with the following: I’ve purchased A LOT of stuff at this store. Mostly jewelry, for my wife, because she really loves their stuff. But then we decided to branch out and get something different than jewelry. We decided to purchase a quilt. Well, once we got it home we noticed some small stains on it– and we loved the quilt so much that we probably would have lived with that– but then we noticed the spot where it was frayed and decided to return it for a refund because a frayed spot will only worsen with time. The owner’s daughter was an extremely nasty woman and refused a refund. She said they would only offer store credit and wouldn’t be swayed from that position, despite the fact that they sold us a crappy piece of merchandise. Now, in my book– if you sell something that turns out to be crap and a LOYAL customer who has spent a LOT of money in your store, calls you on it– you should give them their money back, regardless of whatever policy you’re trying to rigidly stick to. Simply because they are a loyal customer. It’s simply a good business policy to take care of your loyal customers. Apparently Gypsy Jewel feels differently. So now we’re sitting on a $ 200 store credit for a place neither one of us want to spend any more money at, because of their attitudes. I can’t promise that my wife will never shop there again, but I sure as hell will not. So… fair warning to all of you. Inspect anything you buy thoroughly before you give them your hard-earned money. If you don’t, you might have to find out why they’re called gypsies. Last point to the story– I wandered into the place a week after the incident to see if they had put the quilt up for sale again. And not only had they put it up for sale again, it was now $ 275 instead of $ 200. I guess that alone tells you everything you need to know.

This is an absolutely beautiful little shop. I walked in and was transported to a very zen, meditative sort of place. There were colorful, silk scarves all around, the lovely sound of a fountain that stood in the corner, and it smelled sort of like incense without that burn to the nose. The lady working was very pleasant and helpful. My friend and I were fawning over the very unique jewelry, and she took some out of the cases for us to view. The prices are QUITE steep — $ 150 dollars for a pair of dangle earrings that aren’t gold or rare gemstones. However, she did mention that they have layaway, so that is a very nice option for those types of pieces. I wish I could have curled up in the corner by the fountain in a pile of silk scarves and taken a nap or read a book.

I came to this shop looking for a small pendant for a necklace. While they did not have anything in stock, the owner’s daughter literally drove to her house to bring me their selection of small gold pendants from southern India. The owner and her daughter were so helpful and kind — they essentially offered to construct me a necklace. The shop was filled with beautiful items at many price points. Overall, a fabulous store staffed by extremely helpful and approachable women! Definitely worth a visit.

This is such a great store! And the owner, Maruta(sp?), is the most wonderful person you could hope to meet. She has such beautiful things… jewelry, scarves, blankets, accessories for your home, etc. Really lovely. Some things are pricey and others are inexpensive. She imports everything and does a really nice job of carrying beautiful, high quality items. Check it out.

I frequently travel and have always had an affinity for the type of jewlery and products offered at Gypsy Jewel. I am so fortunate to reside in Boulder, CO because this is by far the best store of it’s kind that I am aware of. I always find some authentic treasure with a great story that I will keep for life at an affordable price, as well as a wide selection of amazing bed linens, etc.

Loooooooooove this store! The owner is so friendly, so helpful, and kind hearted. They became one of my favorite jewelry and import stores about 4 years ago when I came there looking for earrings. Their selection is huge!

A lovely store. The gorgeous woman(I believe the owner) with the bluest eyes and most generous spirit will not only help you find the perfect item(ask her for her«possibility tray»), but she will also infuse you with a good, sweet spirit for the rest of the day.

Gypsy Jewel has started a new addiction of mine, one that I didn’t even know that I had. Forget cupcakes, vintage postcards, and stiletto heels that make my legs look a mile long. Those are so last year(although still very close to my heart. Hell, who am I kidding, all of those are still very much in my life). I’m talking bangles, ladies. Beautiful bangles that I have always wanted to try but never got a chance to because even the cheapest bangles found at stores like Forever 21 are overpriced for what you get. At Gypsy Jewel, the wide bangles are $ 1, medium size 50 cents apiece, and the thinnest bangles(which I got) are 25 cents. They come in all colors, and are the perfect way to spice up any outfit. And a quartar each? So there. This store also sells beautiful clothing, cashmere wraps handmade by Bengalese women(I think that’s what I remember), and more upscale jewelry. Here I was buying $ 2 worth of jewelry as I stood next a jewelry case containing pieces costing upwards of $ 10,000. And take a a bag, even if what you bought doesn’t need one. Printed on the bag is a mock-up(or potentially real) classified section of people seeking marraige partners for their sons or daughters. Very amusing. A must stop by place located on the West End of Pearl at 8th St. The address on Unilocal and on the website is wrong. Gypsy Jewel is now another place I have to go by every time I’m in Boulder.
