Although our soy milk of choice has always been Trader Joe’s, we decided to try Soy Dream. Unfortunately, one of the cartons was old or contaminated as the liquid came out in thick, sticky clumps. Immediately phoned the company with all of the pertinent details, including proof of purchase. The customer service rep promised a full reimbursement for the cost. However, weeks later, we received no refund, rather fixed-amount coupons to be applied to future purchases. These weren’t even complimentary product coupons, but coupons that meant spending MORE money on Dream products. Upon phoning back to protest, another rep offered to speak with her supervisor to have the refund check issued. That was in August and to date, no refund has arrived. Thus, we shredded the coupons, have returned to Trader Joe’s milk and refuse to give the Hain products a second glance.

I didn’t realize how many brands are actually under this umbrella corp. The stuff I’ve gotten most are the Celestial Seasonings herbal teas that show up around Christmas. But I also used the Queen(Latifah) Helene 100% cocoa butter stick. It’s pretty good, but in cooler weather it can solidify on your face or wherever you put it. That’s what she said. Just sayin’.
