I enjoy coming to this Indian restaurant and gorging on a huge dosa. Mmmm, carbs! This restaurant, which has an extensive and interesting menu, specializes in both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine. I definitely prefer Southern, which is why I like this place so much. They do things a little differently here from most Southern Indian restaurants: they put meat in their dosa. They also prepare a wonderful paneer tikka masala and malai kofka, both of which are mild and not very spicy; however, the tikka masala sauce is creamy and almost buttery, which gives it good flavor. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried here. Service has always been friendly and prompt. There’s usually a TV on that plays Indian pop videos.

I don’t know why I have to give 1 star rating to this place. If Unilocal gave me a choice I would choose to rate it with no points at all. Bad food, bad food, bad food. No sugar in sweets, watery curries, hard naans. It has been a disappointment coming to this place since a long time now. And today was the last visit.

There is nothing special about this place. I went there at 12:30 pm for the lunch buffet and the food at seemed like it had already been sitting out for hours. The items were not labeled well, just one or two words scribbled down. I would appreciate more description about the things I’m about to eat.

I’m on vacation with my girlfriend from Chicago and this place was near our hotel. We came on a Wednesday night at 8pm and it was very quiet. We got great service and the food was great. We split chicken tikka masala, malabar chicken, and the garlic naan. I really liked the malabar chicken in particular.

Best Indian food ever!!! Literally every single item I tried on the lunch buffet was delicious, and tasted a little bit different(and better) than anything I’ve had before.

Great food and service. Not sure what the previous reviewer meant by stuffy atmosphere. It’s one of the most open and warm environments I have encountered. Keep up the good work. We will be back!

Terrible food; slow and confused service; zero atmosphere, stuffy airless room. NOT recommended. I LOVE Indian food. This is not good. Went in early afternoon. Place was nearly empty, yet the service was terrible. Our waiter was more interested in cleaning up the lunch buffet etc. than taking care of us. He didn’t know the basics about the entrees on the menu. He had a nice demeanor but really not up to the task. My friend got the buffet, most of which was oily, soupy, bland. One dish was tasty. My entrée off the menu was almost inedible. My stomach was upset all day. Try someplace else.

Information is wrong. They close at 10 pm on Fridays. I just had the door hurriedly locked in my face so my date and I couldn’t come in. Very rude. The employee could have at least spoken to us instead of closing the door on our faces.

You know, l love dried out buffet food. The type that’s been under the lights for about a day and a half. So I was psyched that I got it here. Bathroom was filthly. Restaurant wasn’t much better. I’d pass.

Went back for their weekend brunch and it was delicious. And, we were happy to see that the Bollywood videos are back. Great food and great service.

So went here twice actually because it is nearby and has a cool place to sit inside when it’s hot out. Went here last week on a Thursday afternoon and then the following day in honor of my holiday, Eid. They have a lot of options, their biryani was delicious. Lunch buffet is only $ 8 and you have a lot of options. But the food is ok. They had saag with mushrooms. never in my life have I seen that, and to be honest, they should leave mushrooms out of it. They do not belong there.

It took me way too long to make it here. Being South Indian, I was really excited to see dosa and a Kerala fish curry on the menu. They both delivered as did the chicken biryani and the gobi fried appetizer– 2 dishes we get every time. The«kuppam meen» dark red tamarind fish curry was also standout– the closest(by a long shot) to my mom’s fish curry that you can find in Boulder. There are lots of gluten free options including the huge dosa. Now that we finally came here, we have been often. Still need to try their brunch buffet– menu sounds great.

Decent INDIAN restaurant in Boulder. Veg curries are ok, idli is delicious. Mango lassi is horrible, utappam is good, no chicken in chicken tikka masala. Ambience is good.

I’ve been wanting to come to Jai Ho for about a year and after that much anticipation you can imagine how easy it would have been to be disappointed. Which why it’s so pleasantly surprising that this hidden jewel is exactly what I was hoping it to be. I came for the lunch buffet and the variety and quality of the foods that were presented was completely delightful. I especially enjoyed the okra and eggplant dishes and the mango pudding. I also had a chance to try out Golden Eagle beer which is a flavorful Indian lager. The price is good, the food is great, and the environment and staff are fantastic. I haven’t tried dinner here but the lunch buffet is definitely worth coming for.

I came here with a group of 12 and they were very accommodating when we called ahead to let them know of our group size. When we arrived, we already had a table set up. My Indian friends recommended ordering the Dosa, which is like a street food for them in India. I got the crispy dosa with chicken, but had to replace the chicken inside with chicken tikka because I don’t eat spicy. I also ordered the rose milk to try. The rose milk was a bit too sweet, but really good and has a nice floral scent to it. I was very excited for the Dosa, but out of our group of 12, mine didn’t come until the group was almost all done eating with their dish. When it finally did come out, it was pretty impressive how big the thin crispy dosa came out as. I think my dish could have been better if the dipping sauce for the dosa wasn’t spicy and if I hadn’t replaced the chicken(the original one is much more tender). Overall my friends seemed to like the place, but as someone who doesn’t eat spicy, I had difficulty enjoying my meal. Not to mention the service was on the slower side(or maybe it just for my dish).

Good South Indian food with plenty of choices for vegetarians. The aapam with kuruma was something I hadn’t had before at other South Indian restaurants; the kuruma had a nice coconut flavor whereas most vegetable kormas I’ve had were just creamy. My friend’s dosa was the biggest dosa I’d ever seen. The server refilled our water frequently. Inexplicably empty on a Saturday night!

Ate our take out food, outside restaurant!!! Yes, they said we were late even though timings mentioned in Unilocal was 11PM, they said they close @10PM. Since we were too hungry, ate the food outside the restaurant. We didn’t have any option left!!! We stay at far place from bolder, so eating food after reaching home was not acceptable for us. So we had it right outside restaurant!!! Food was though very good!!! I didn’t have any complains on that. Especially coffee & pakora was awesome!!! We also had masala dosa. At billing they forgot to give us the 10% off bill for checking in Unilocal, but instead suggested us to take something else for free. Options they us gave pakora, mango lassi, coffee. Since we already ordered coffee, went with option of pakora. No complains though.

Went with friend on his recommendation, he loves it here, on a Sunday evening. Very quiet place(no other patrons) and we were warmly greeted. Nice wait staff, attentive. The booths along the windows, were in afternoon sun for one person. I found my bench seat broken so no good support, very uncomfortable after 20 minutes. shifted to center of the booth for better comfort Samosa’s were heavy although nicely spiced. Dosa is huge. Is that why they are popular on Unilocal?Crispy and thin, different from my northern Indian experience(Rishikesh). My veggie briyani was a disappointment. Few veggies(canned green beans?, couple of potato chunks, couple of carrots.) Just reheated the leftovers and even fewer veggies than I thought. Flavorful though. I’m thinking Thai next time so I get fresh veggies… just saying…
