I don’t know enough about Dr. Walker to comment on his work, but his front office is extremely rude and unprofessional.
We had an appointment for a free 15 minute ortho consultation for my daughter. We were running late for 10 minutes due to some crazy traffic on 36. The front desk lady threw up her hands with frustration when I told her that I didn’t have the form with me (filled it in weeks ago but then left it home). It didn’t matter anyway because by that time the doctor was already on the phone on a business call. Nobody talked to us for the next 25 minutes. We were still waiting patiently when I overheard her complaining LOUDLY about us being late to somebody else. Did she think that I don’t speak English??? I think it’s outright rude and unprofessional, if not discriminating.
Mind you that it’s only an initial free consultation of 15 minutes. And then you’ll need to PAY to get a real consultation and hear about pricing options, etc. Other orthodontists in town would give you a free, real consultation during the initial visit. So I decided to walk out. Even if the ortho work is FREE, I wouldn’t want to sign up with them. It takes quite a few visits to get the ortho work done. If this visit is an indication of how the future visits will look like, I don’t need more visits! For all I know, this receptionist should be fired because (s)he is the gatekeeper and face of an office like that. IF the doctor is good, she is sending out a wrong message to the rest of the world.

I got braces with this wonderful practice during my years of frightening teenager behavior and have only good memories of Dr. Walker and everyone else in the office! Now I’m sad to be having dental issues again but happy to be back at this friendly, professional establishment!
