I hate to give him 1 star, but a haircut (including consultation, shampoo, conditioner, massage… sort of, cut/​style) just under 30 minutes… I don’t have anything against stylists working that fast, but I still have to meet one who is that good! I was asked if I had my share of bad haircuts and I did, and this definitely was another one on that list. And I don’t want to say it’s a completely bad haircut, but it should cost $ 15 – 20.

The color never fades!!! I have very dark hair that is quickly greying and my color usually fades really quick. I don’t know what Mattie does differently, but after 8 weeks, the color is still rich and beautiful! I also appreciate how Mattie listens to my concerns, explains what he is doing and why, and educates me about my hair. I highly recommend him!

Mattie transformed me from shades of grey to pure magic, exquisitely utilizing his tools of coloring & cut. (Thumbs DOWN to that book. MUCH better erotica out there from Anne Rice –writing as A. N. Roquelaure– to Pat Califia & Carol Queen, not to mention my own two books BREATHLESS & SPARKS FLY). Ooops, sorry, Mattie, this is all about YOU, not me!!! My hair was growing out grey & shapeless until he reworked my old style (WHAT style?!) I love it, & would highly recommend him to you. As a plus, he is highly witty & entertaining. A+++. Furthermore he has a whole range of attributes including make-​up & wardrobe. What more do you want? To sit in a dentist’s chair?
