Merry Maids

They bailed on my 48 hours before a scheduled move out cleaning. Now I have to rally to find someone else with little notice to have my house cleaned before closing. When I implored upon Missy to take advantage of the time to find a crew, she got frustrated with me and hung up.

Merry Maids does a wonderful job cleaning my home! There is nothing to compare to coming home to a clean home after a long day… I can relax! All of the employees are pleasant, cheerful, and well trained. I’d be lost without Merry Maids!

We have used Merry Maids for 4 years and have never been unhappy with their services or products. The team is loyal, professional, friendly and very trustworthy.

This company is very professional and caring. When I called for a one time moving cleaning they scheduled one of their reps to come out to give us an estimate. The estimate was great for piece of mind for price and detailed list of items covered. They were able to come out within a couple days and did a wonderful job cleaning. I really appreciate the extra step this company adds on every cleaning to have one of their reps come out to the house before the ladies leave to make sure they got everything cleaned to standards. Bonus: they are all dog friendly!

This company is awful. They pay their staff poorly and therefore the staff has poor attitudes about their jobs. They hurry through things. The «captain» makes a measly 24% of the entire profit and the «teammate» makes 20%. I feel BAD for these girls. Maybe the company should up their wages in order to compete with the cleaning industry. They seem to be well equipped enough to pay them a bit more, so why not? This place is awful and the owners are GREEDY. Look elsewhere for a company who cares for their employees.

I thought the two women who showed up to clean my place were very helpful and friendly, but they definitely cleaned as if they were in a rush, because they did miss several spots that they were definitely supposed to clean (which I discovered later after the initial, quick post-​cleaning inspection). The overall cost ($ 267 for a 800 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bath apt) seemed a bit steep, and a lot of things weren’t included that I had to add on (such as cleaning the inside of the refrigerator). I was also somewhat surprised that they didn’t clean carpets, but would only vacuum. I had to hire someone separately to clean my carpets for an apartment move-​out. For what I paid, I don’t think it was worth it, but I think that is likely a fault of the company organization and not the maids themselves. If you need a cleaning service in Boulder, it might be a better deal to go with a small or local company rather than Merry Maids.

I wish there were more stars to give! My home is important to my family, and to me, I like to have it deeply cleaned and de-​cluttered when possible. I would absolutely not be able to do it without the amazing women of Merry Maids! They are professional from the start, coming to you to assess the job and give you a quote. The initial cost of the cleaning can seem a bit high the first time as they spend about twice as long as they usually do and really make everything shine! I was apprehensive when they brought out the contract, isn’t everyone? But its really reasonable, and given that they guarantee their work, but there are discounts if you sign up for a series of cleanings, they can come weekly, bi-​weekly, or monthly, and you can always change your preferences if you need additional things done. So, with this, I made the leap and signed up! I have them come every two weeks, and they stay an average of 30 – 40 minutes with a crew of two, and that’s cleaning my 1650 sq.ft., ³⁄₂ house!
God, I LOVE THESE LADIES! They work miracles! From the customer service of Debbie, and the consult with Kim, to the Amazing Shawna, (more on her in a sec.), and Brandy, to the owner, Kelly, they are a thoughtful, well-​oiled machine! From the feeling after the first cleaning, I was in love! Everything shined, it smelled wonderful, and my carpets — wow! They wear a big vacuum that got up stains that had survived professional carpet cleanings! Slippers lined up by the bed, little folded points on the t.p. dispensers, and a little card of greeting left on the counter. Its like having your own magical house-​elves! But the piece de resistance that first time was the manager stopping by, (having acquired my okay first) she proceeded to, literally, do a white-​glove inspection! Be still my inner homemaking heart!
They can service your home with you there, or they can let themselves in and lock up when they’re done. Every person is bonded, and insured, which is reassuring when you’re having someone into your home. They really do the things that you would do yourself if you had gobs of free time, and were a two, or three person, professional team of cleaning badasses! They use all their own supplies, with color-​coded, clean towels that are only used in certain places so that a towel does not go from a bathroom to a kitchen. Or vice versus. This saves so much in paper for towels. When they’re done, they bring out all the trash and slip out.
Now, all these things made me a customer, but what keeps me absolutely loyal are Shawna, and Brandy. I admire these women immensely! They’re smart, strong, funny, with a work ethic they hold themselves to beyond the high standards Merry Maids does. I look forward to them coming like I would a friend. It’s like therapy every women should be getting! Not only do they make my house feel better, they make ME feel better! They always remember what’s been going on in my life, asking how this or that went since we’d seen each other last time. They care about all of you, and see to nurturing same. I would NOT be able to do the things I want to with my life if I didnt have these fabulous ladies backing me up! They’re special, and I am honored to be working beside them as part of the running of my home. They always remember how I like things, they never complain if there’s more to do than usual, and they’re always smiling! I am so thankful for Shawna, Brandy, and every other person at Merry Maids, and you will be too.
These ladies work so hard, and make everything look, and feel amazing! If you are happy with their work, (and you WILL be) take a moment to call or email the office to let them know how thrilled you are. These ladies sure deserve anything I can do to help them, as they’ve given me so much! Thank you, Shawna, you mean the world to me and are incredibly gifted with people. I have benefited greatly from your considerable experience and grace. Brandy, you are always fun to be around, and you always work SO hard! Thank you for every single dish washed, I know you always do more than you have to. Thank you both for everything you do for me, I appreciate it, and you, more than you know.
