School of Rock Boulder

The Boulder School of Rock program is absolutely fantastic. My son started there as a summer camp participant two years ago and has been taking lessons and doing the performance program ever since. It has been wonderful confidence builder to perform live on stage in front of an audience and his music skills have just sky rocketed. The instructors are both great musicians and wonderful teachers. He also has met a group of friends who enjoy his passion for music. I can not rave enough about this program.

I feel compelled to write this review because I really believe in this amazing team of teachers, and are staffed with instrument guides for kids.
Through this program, my son became more self confident, he was empowered as a guitarist and he knew his part and he played it very well due to the practice that the school structure organized and the time and energy they invested in my child.
My son took a couple of the summer week long camps. The kids in his camp at the time were really there for a place to be. Some were serious musicians or looking to be serious musicians, and some were just there because they liked music.
My kid was serious and when I spoke with the office manager, he suggested the performance program. I could not have been happier with our experiences at the Boulder School of Rock. They are so respectful to the kids, which in turns commands respect amongst the band members and the staff. My son walked in to this program a little shy and reserved. He left extremely self confident and he knew what he was talking about music wise because he had learned it from his instructors. He learned about team work and that it takes each band member doing their own part to elevate the entire band. He practiced each week multiple times because he wanted to be ready for his parts in each song.
From my sons perspective, the thing he «liked and still likes most about this experience was playing music with other people and having it sound good».

My child loves it here. She participates in the performance program and enjoys it immensely. She was growing bored with basic guitar lessons and school of rock provided the opportunity to transition to a band experience.
The teachers have been great at finding a good balance of abilities and challenging her to learn new skills.
She has found a new love for music.
I highly recommend them!
