Sprouts Farmers Market

Please teach your employees basic food safety!
Bought food that had been opened by an employee (looks like cut with a boxcutter by accident). Rather than throw it away, they attempted to tape it back up. The tape didn’t even cover the cut, so I had freezer-​burned food placed open next to raw chicken in my bag.
This is a $ 1 mistake (made worse by dishonesty and an attempt to cover it up) that could’ve made someone very sick, or turned into a lawsuit.

Love this grocery. Most cost effective food in town plus you can find all the health food alternatives you’d expect in a Boulder grocery.

I love this market. It has both organic and non-​organic options. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The prices are about as good as they get in Boulder. The deli/​meat/​seafood counter is great and the people working there as very friendly. I highly recommend this market! It’s our go to now that we live here.

I generally like Sprouts and have enjoyed this location in the past. Last trip I dealt with short dated milk (2 days). There was also short dated Sprouts bread. This time around we walked and purposefully left our cloth bags at home intending to buy some more at Sprouts. They are out. They were out of stock on other things too this trip although the milk had a nice 11 days of use by dating. We went next door to the hardware store for bags.
So, in the future if we are shopping for a must have item– I’ll probably go elsewhere since there’s a real chance Sprouts will be out of stock.

My price was likely to be gregarious since I filled my basket with the highest quality fruits and vegetables that reckoned to be the prize passion of any farmers market. I was filled with hopeless abandonment as I approached the cashier register. It wasn’t until Greg the grocer took my hand and led me through the bagging process that I realized everything was going to be alright. Ever since I have returned to Sprouts delighted by the customer service they continue to provide.

Good prices, especially on vegetables and fruits when there’s sale. great value, great product will always be my go to grocery.

Sprouts is just fine, at least as good as the others I’ve been to. However, I will not be shopping here again…
Be very careful about parking in this shopping center.
We parked, and went across the street to another business before coming back, intending to shop at Sprouts only to find our van had been booted.
The «security guard» (undercover thug) was incredibly rude and unwilling to let us off with a warning. We are new to the area, and not at all used to shopping centers being this aggressive about parking enforcement. The thug held the van hostage until I paid a $ 103 fine via credit car (it would have been $ 100 cash –yes, they have the nerve to pass the service charge onto the customers of the businesses in this shopping center.
The security company in question (Colorado Parking Services) looks to be an incredibly shady operation. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go read their Unilocal reviews! They do not charge the property manager for their services, so have every incentive to fine as many people as possible without listening to reason when the «guilty party» contests the fine in person. They don’t even have the decency to post a security guard (check out the Safeway parking lot across the street during Buffs games for a contrast in civility!). Apparently, their «officers» hide in the bushes and watch, and supposedly take pictures of, people as they leave the property.
To top it all off, the «officer» left a large chunk of the violation notice on our window when he removed it, and refused to remove the sticker/​residue.
So yeah, needless to say, we did not shop at Sprouts today.

I’ve been shopping here for years but the quality is seriously declining in their produce section. So far, just in the last week, I brought home a disgusting, rotten in the center onion, 3 bad avocados, lettuce that expired the day after I bought it (all they had) and an apple that went bad 2 days later.
After all the bad produce, I’ll be taking my shopping elsewhere. This really makes me sad because I’ve loved Sprouts and really enjoy shopping there but something HAS GOT to be done about this produce.

Good prices, especially on fruits and vegetables when there’s a sale. The problem is that when there’s a sale on a vegetable or fruit item, the cashiers don’t know about it and they charge me for a different type of that fruit or vegetable that’s not on sale. Last time I had to tell the cashier that I chose the tomatoes that were on sale, and she kept saying I was wrong, when it clearly said in the catalog and on the shelf that they were in fact on sale. She made me wait to go and check, which held up the line. Not my best grocery shopping experience, and I doubt that I will be going back after that.

Quality and consistency has steadily been going downhill over the past couple years.
For the 3^rd (and final) time, something which I bought in the deli section upstairs was labeled as vegetarian and I got home only to realize it wasn’t. Last time the manager let me know that this was a common occurrence. I was hoping things had changed but they haven’t. They’ve refunded my money each time however I’m done with sprouts. I’d rather pay more at whole foods and know that it’s better quality and accurately labeled the first time.

They had almost everything we were looking for. We weren’t able to find apple cider in October which was disappointing.
Trend is a dollar or so cheaper than whole foods. Otherwise comparable.

Located right next to the Marriott. I walked there from the hotel to get some water and fruits. The market is big & clean and the cashier is very friendly.

They stand out with their fresh product and prices. I get whole food type product for ½ the price.
Great value, great product will always be my go to grocery!

Sure with they had more organic produce. And I find them to be more expensive than Natural Grocers on the non-​produce items. I do like their bulk grains tho.

Love this place. We make a weekly trip. I don’t buy all of my groceries here because it is a small place, relatively speaking, without a wide selection. However, what keeps bringing me back week after week are the produce and bulk specials. And on occasion, when we’re feeling naughty, we get a treat (described at the bottom, below).
Love the produce here. They carry conventional and organic. I would love to purchase everything organic, in general, but don’t have the money, so I usually end up buying conventional. In most regular grocery stores, however, such as Safeway and King Soopers, the conventional produce always leaves something to be desired. I never feel that I am getting a quality product. At Sprouts, though, the conventional produce seems to be much better than its counterparts at the other stores. I always feel confident with whatever I choose, and haven’t been disappointed. And the specials. That is what I love. Every week Sprouts has fantastic sale prices on an assortment of produce. I go in, get whatever is on special, and eat happily for the ensuing week. Fantastic. And I always end up getting some type of produce that I wouldn’t have thought of otherwise, because there it is, at a great price. The weekly trip has become a fun little ritual.
The bulk selection isn’t nearly as big as that of the Whole Food on Pearl, but there are quite a few staples, as well as different types of chocolate snacks, which Sweetie adores. He always gets a little bag of something chocolatey. Each week, a dozen or more various bulk items are on sale. I get whichever beans, nuts, and grains on special look good.
As for our naughty treat. We don’t each meat much, at most once a week and usually far less. But every once in a while we get an insistent craving for tasty beast. The sausages in the butcher display are fantastic. They are mostly chicken sausages, a wide variety of them that are freshly made on the premises. Fat and juicy. We get one each of a few varieties, take them home and grill them, and devour them like the carnivores we try so hard not to be :-)

Having to cook for someone with severe food allergies, I am always mindful of the stores that carry the specialty items I need to reproduce safe versions of our favorite meals. Back in Virginia, I would bounce between Trader Joe’s, Bloom/​Food Lion, and Whole Foods to find the things I wanted.
My first night in the store, I ran through my mental list.
Gluten Free pizza crust? What?! Udi’s is actually located in Boulder! Of course they sell it here.
Enjoy Life brand chocolates and snacks? Check.
Coconut Aminos soy sauce replacement? check.
Sunbutter? Check. (but Trader Joe’s is coming to town, and I actually prefer theirs, so I’ll wait!)
Bob’s Red Mill? lots of varieties!
Earth Balance Soy free margarine? check.
Terra Chips? check!
One stop shopping for my allergy safe meals! (OK, they’re mostly desserts. But they’re GOOD desserts!)
I did wander into the skin care section because my skin was not responding well to the drier air up here, but was repelled by the prices. Not Sunflower’s/Sprout’s fault, just all high end lotions.
The employees we encountered were friendly and informative. They sold small containers of gluten free cake slices for the unfortunates heading to birthday parties who would otherwise lose out. The store has two or three entrances. I usually come in through the upper deli-​and-​cheese entrance because if I’m coming here, I’m going in the hardware store, whether I need to or not.
I will definitely be a regular shopper here!

Great deals on produce each week, fab clearance section, and stellar customer service. The prices are also great and you don’t need a special store card to reap the savings!

I’ve just returned from vacation abroad and learned the art of being «peckish,» as my friend Kate would say. That is, eating lots of little delightful meals throughout the day. I wanted to extend this tradition back home and put into practice trying things that I normally wouldn’t consider. To me this meant going local and more organic – skipping the Safeway or King Sooper’s mega-​aisles for a more quaint and self-​congratulating experience (yes, I’m fully aware of my hoity-​toityness).
So far so good thanks to Sunflower Farmers Market. I love strolling down their aisles and actually taking my time paying attention to the different brands and locally produced produce. What has been one of the bigger surprises is that my bill is not any different than it was at x-​megamarket and yet I get giddy opening my refrigerator door reminding myself what goodies I’ve purchased.
So for now I’m making Sunflower Farmers Market a habit and loving every minute of it.

I went in for aloe vera — the topical gel and the juice to drink. I was helped by a very kind young man with I swear to God, the sun-​kissed skin of an angel. He knew his aloe vera let me tell you what… and if I can get skin like that? I’ll be drinking his recommended juice for the rest of my life!
I really wanted to check out the produce section. Vast! I mean, certainly compared to my neighborhood Albertson’s which by the way I despise, and better than Safeway too, not to mention way cheaper than Whole Paycheck. There were veggies I had never tried (a difficult feat as I love veggies) and everything looked fresh and tasty.
I wish there were more Sunflower Markets to go around. I don’t live in Boulder and hope I can find one closer to me … because I’ll definitely shop there if it’s anywhere as good as this store!
