This was my first time at T aco, or is Tiaco? Very confusing name. The service wasn’t terrific. I asked for sugar with my tea and he gave me one pack. The shrimp taco was decent but the tuna taco lacked flavor. The chips weren’t salted and the guac tasted funky. Way over-priced. The interior design/décor is pretty cool.

Happy hour every day and REAL margaritas, no sour mix no syrups, plenty of tequila. Street tacos for dinner. Olé!

Came to boulder on vacation. heard that the spot for tacos was here. So I came. Aside from the queso i am dissappointed… the chicken tacos: chicken overcooked and bland, sauce was bland. The menu is overpriced unless you’re here on happy hour. The guac is subpar, the pico was good, the queso was good. I’m from new York so I know good tacos. Maybe this is good for colorado idk… but if you know good tacos and good authentic mexican then spare yourself

A+ for service and cleanliness. A fancier taco spot them usual but hey it’s Boulder after all. The owner seems to be always there, and doesn’t hesitate to get his hands dirty as you will see him cleaning, seating people and basically involved in every aspect which is great. Friendly guy So many choices! I go for Taco Tuesday so it’s worth it. I couldn’t justify spending full price there bc it’s way more and I love a variety and good amount of tacos but Tuesday’s is the time to go, however it’s crowded! That bbq pork shoulder is my absolute fav. So much flavor in that little taco! I will agree there with some other reviewers is there isn’t as much focus on the meat as I would like to be and additional condiments and such in the Tacos but that’s why you have to try A bunch The sizzling queso is amazing also

I was a little disappointed on my recent visit. The meal was fair but definitely not wonderful. Prices are a little steep for the small tacos you get. I went for lunch and got the fish($ 4), duck($ 4.5), and carnitas($ 3.5). I thought the fish and duck were pretty flavorless. Also the fish and duck were both super overcooked. That made me quite sad. The carnitas was the best of the three in terms of flavor– definitely packed more of a punch. It’s sad that the more expensive options aren’t worth it because a good duck taco would be a beautiful thing.

Sunday happy hour for margs and tacos? Hell to the yes. Loved: variety and options for tacos. Keeping it simple with the taco-oriented menu and not getting caught up in a million entrée offers. A couple options for chips/dip and boom! you have yourself caterers to the ‘love for tacos and tequila’ crowd! They were super busy but had speedy service once you ordered. Very impressed by that. Dislike: size of the tacos. I saw pics. It’s what made me visit in the first place. But man I was not expecting to spend $ 12 on 3 small tacos I would have norm got as an app somewhere. Great place to socialize, share a small plate and drink, with great quality items. Can get pricey if you’re looking for a full entrée though by the time you’re adding sides + taco cost. But seriously, I’m still thinking about that Barbacoa and fish taco. So much flavor in such a small taco. Def must go.

I visited on a whim for a quick meal on a Friday night. I’d love to know which street they visited to find these«street» tacos, because as a visitor in search of «Boulder’s best taco» I’ve been unimpressed with my findings. Chips and Salsa — the chips are the highlight, they’re nice and crispy and exactly what a tortilla chip is. The salsas lacked kick — Mango salsa was very sweet, salsa verde was missing acid, and the red salsa was about where I’d begin to place«mild.» These were not bad tasting, but were not necessarily what I was looking for. Tacos — I had barbacoa and carnitas, they were about 4x the price of a normal street taco. I was very surprised that there was no al pastor, cabeza, lengua, or even chorizo on the menu — traditional street taco staples. My tacos were not bad tasting by any means, but were not necessarily flavorful — bit more heat, seasoning, and maybe a little extra sear would’ve gone a long way. I was also surprised to find so many toppings, but that’s personal preference — I like the meat to take center stage. The tacos were very juicy, which is a great thing, but that caused the tortillas to become soggy and rubbery. Overall, I was unimpressed. I feel like I’m definitely getting hung up on the«street taco» name, but these are very different from the tacos you get on the streets of Mexico City or Los Angeles.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful! Fun casual environment full of nice local people and amazing tacos. I went alone on a crowded Friday night, and felt taken care of from the moment I walked in. The bar was full, but they squeezed me into the«community table» where I enjoyed both fun company and delicious food. I was given good advice on the large taco selection, and even given a bonus taco to taste. Each of my choices were very, very good – duck, pork belly, shrimp, and fish. I will say they had quite a common taste with the sauces and accompaniments, but the common taste was great! I think my favorite was shrimp, but this is a hard choice. Lovely place, staff, and food, highly recommended. I hope to make it back this trip, otherwise the next one for sure.

Popped in for a late Monday lunch. We’d heard great things are were not(too) disappointed. Hubby and I both had a full margarita which is always a nice way to start the week! A bag of chips and the small bowl of guac were good but we definitely should have gotten the large bowl. Tacos…what can I say. Absolutely order the steak! Super tender and great flavors! The carnitas and fish were good too. Next time I’ll pass on the veggie. Service was great for ~¾ of the meal. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgable and attentive — but then she disappeared for 15 minutes. Another staff checked on us and took our order for another round but the drinks never showed up, except on the bill. The waitress took them off, of course but this shouldn’t have happened, especially since they weren’t busy(at 2pm on a Monday). We’ll be back, hopefully on a Tuesday!

My girlfriend and I stopped in Boulder after our 3 hour hike at Chautauqua Park. Craving some tacos, we stumbled upon this little gem across the street from our parking garage. We conveniently entered the establishment at 2:05pm, where happy hour was from 2−6pm. Happy hour deals included carnitas, chicken, and avocado street taocs at $ 2 a piece, so we ordered quite a few there, as well as a mushroom-cheese taco and a couple mango chicken tacos. The thin flour tortillas were a nice change of pace, and the meat /ingredients were well cooked and flavored. No additional sauce needed, as the sauce ratio was spot on as well. Can’t wait to return — Best, Charlie

«Taahkos, I love taahkos.» And that’s T/ACO does. We’re off to a good start. Dodged a rain storm with an unplanned visit, lured by the promise of mashed avocados and — lo! — Happy Hour margaritas? House dranks run $ 4 on the daily. Shall we snack? Sí. The chips go a Choose Your Own Adventure route with a base price of $ 2, and salsa/guac/the blood of the innocents dippers bump it up from there. Thick, crispy, well-salted without turning in to deer treats, they stood the scoop test against our large guacamole($ 6) with only one broken soldier in the bunch. As it happened to be a Tuesday, three of their namesakes went for $ 2 a pop. Just be sure you specify the happy hour taco, as my carnitas came out portioned to be a full shell. Meaning the contents may be less stuffed for the sale price. The vibe is chill and while I’d call their tacofferings pricier than most, and therefore reflectively couture in flavor and spice, it’s still a place where, at the right time, you can get two margs, two tacos and freshly fried chips for less than $ 15. Jam on it.

My friends raved about the queso, and it was super good. We asked for extra pico which really helped give it a good flavor. I liked that it came out on a little, hot iron pan. We may have eaten our weight in chips, but it was an exquisite experience.

T/ACO seems to be a hip bar that serves yummy tacos, more so than a taqueria that serves drinks. That may very well be semantics but it really is a pretty cool little bar and the fact that they serve great food is an added bonus. A friend and I stopped by to get a drink and even though we weren’t hungry the tacos looked so good that each of us ended up eating a few. The Pork belly was delicious but so was the steak one. The scene when we went on a Tuesday night was lively and entertaining. I only wish I had a similar spot in Houston.

I’ve been here twice now. Great margaritas and the bartenders really know their tequila. This place gets pretty busy, but it’s a fun laid back vibe and the food is great. I’m not one for HUGE meals, so I love the smaller tacos. You can order a few and sample the different types without having too much food. Also… the queso and guac are delicious.

So, we’ve sort of fallen into a Sunday hike, then T|aco routine. I’m not gonna lie, we can hear their happy hour margaritas calling our name as we’re coming down off of whatever trail it is we happen to be on. Those babies are legit(just ask my husband, who ordered one too many today. Oops!) I LOVE street tacos and have been searching for a legit replacement for the taco truck that used to park a few blocks down from our apt in NYC. T|aco fills that gaping void left after the move two years ago. I have tried most of the tacos, and I really love the shrimp, pork belly, and carnitas. They have a few happy hour tacos that are $ 2(holla!) Despite all the great things I’ve already told you, the crowning jewel on this establishments list of awesome attributes has to be Peter, though. He is the king of fantastic, welcoming customer service. Seriously, he’s the friendliest guy, and his staff follows suit. If he has the time, he’ll happily drop some knowledge on you about his restaurant or just chat about an interesting subject. He’s a pretty cool dude. My husband thinks he looks a bit like Bryan Callen from Mad TV.

Dig the vibe in this place. Cute, small and quickly served. Opted for seat inside but they have outdoor seating. Street Tacos are the mainstay. Duck, fish snapper, ahi, carnitas, Cotija, Classico were great. Favs though was the Ahi in the crisp shell. The Cotija texture and flavor was great. The Classico w ground beef had a great flavor. Not your store bought mix. The avocado bowl is a perfect starter. Service attentive. Natalie was our server and she was excellent. Knows the menu, great customer service. Looks like service is a key to the restaurants success. No drinks today but did order strawberry lemonade and iced tea.

I needed a dog friendly restaurant since my dog-in-crime was with me. We headed to the restaurant and sat at the patio. The server gave my dog water which was sweet. We ordered a small guacamole and the three salsas. Their chips were outstanding!!! My fiancé and I ordered four street tacos — steak, pork belly, duck, and ahi tuna. They were so flavorful! I also ordered the strawberry margarita and a couple sips of it was enough to get me a little tipsy! They were so strong! Good bang for your buck! I went to the restroom inside and the restaurant is small but so cute! I would definitely be back for happy hour from 2 – 6 and $ 2 tacos! The service was great too! Thanks for welcoming me, my fiancé and my dog to your restaurant!

First stop on an epicurean tour with Local Table Tours this past weekend, an industry hot spot recognized by its contemporaries. As the name suggests, T aco has amazing and creative street style tacos. I can definitely recommend the ahi and cotija in the unlikely event nothing jumps out at you. Also, the pineapple habanero margarita was great! Much lighter than I expected, and the heat was not an issue. They also do a very simple, but flavorful guacamole to go with chips. Great summer spot if you’re in the area

This place is fine, but nothing more. We have no plans to return. Let’s start with the tacos because this is a taco joint. Sweetie and I tried six different tacos, and they were all fine. Decent. But nothing more. The ingredients were freshly and decently prepared. Nothing wrong with them. But the tacos all added up to less than the sum of their parts. Meaning, while they tasted fine, they didn’t taste like anything in particular, and they weren’t particularly tasty. Oddly bland. On a single taco, the many ingredients all blended together into sameness. And, closing our eyes and trying several different kinds of tacos, we couldn’t tell the difference between them. Not being able to tell the difference between duck and beef and chicken was kind of odd. What the tacos desperately needed was some oomph– a little freshly-made salsa of some sort, a squeeze of lime. Something to provide contrasting flavor and acidity. A word about the prices. Insanely high. And not just from a monetary perspective, but also from a philosophical one. Tacos range from $ 4-$ 5. Each. For average size. Wow. Taco places like this drive my Chicano friends absolutely nuts. You know how it always goes with food items that become trendy. Some places start charging WAY more than the traditional cost for the item, and then prices get raised across the board everywhere. We all cringe at the thought of paying these ridiculous prices in the future at places that are now reasonably priced. (There is a place in Boulder that sells absolutely fantastic, authentic tacos. Beautifully prepared meats, contrast of both flavors and textures within each taco, and freshly-made authentic salsas that will make you swoon. And each taco costs $ 1.75 regularly, and $ 1.25 Thursday evenings. Message me if you wish to know the name of the place.) The margaritas here are very good, among the best I’ve tried in the Boulder area. I added an entire star just for them.

I love this place! Their tacos are soooo delish, but you have to go on Taco Tuesday’s(half off) to get your money’s worth. Beware that portions are tiny — three tacos is barely enough to fill me up. I’ve tried the duck tacos, pork belly, Barbacoa, el clasico, and baja fish. Pork belly is DIVINE, with crunchy, fatty pork prices smothered in a delectably juicy sauce. Baja fish is also really yummy — how can you go wrong with fried fish in a soft corn tortilla? Barbacoa, like pork belly, is juicy and flavorful, if only a tad too salty. The meat is well cooked, and the guac adds a luxurious richness. Clasico is the only one I’ve tried in a hard shell taco, and it’s basically the ideal taco you imagine when one says«taco»: crunchy shell, juicy meat, tangy cheese, springy veggies. The Only disappointment so far for me is the duck taco. It’s just not very flavorful. The cole-slawish preparation does no justice to duck, one of my favorite meats. The chips are also positively addictive. They come warm and with three salsas, and I also ordered a side of guac. The guac is chipotle comparable. 3 kickass tacos for only $ 6 on Taco Tuesdays! Viva T/aco!
