Unfinished Furniture Boulder LLC

We bought a dresser here, made by a local gentleman, for our daughter about 4 years ago. They painted it and it looked (and still looks) great. It is a nice piece of hard wood furniture. If you are used to shopping at furniture stores that use a fair amount of particle board, then some of the prices might seem higher than you were expecting. But as always — you get what pay for. This is a basic little dresser, but one that we can refinish in later years as needed. Love it!

I was really excited to purchase my new table and chairs from their shop. They work well, look pretty good over all, but I was pretty disappointed in the later half of their service…
Stickers were left partially on the bottom of the stools UNDER the finish. I tried to pull them off but it exposes the wood. Not happy. So sloppy. Now those are in their permanently or I have to refinish them myself after sanding them off — really? More than $ 300 in finishing work and that’s the result?
I’ve found two chips in the table where it should have been sanded off — and I know they weren’t from moving here as I transported it with someone to the apartment from their car.
On that note — don’t do delivery. If I had been told from the start the table was going to be delivered in pieces I would have realized it was a waste of money. I was worried I’d need a larger car due to the height of my table… Nope. In addition, I was warned they were back logged but it took more than 3 weeks in total. The woman who delivered the table also proceeded to drop the check on her way out…
The make is nicely done, the finishing and service I was unimpressed with. Wish I could have my stools fixed but I can’t afford to do that now :(

I purchased wood stain from the store and when I did some research later, I found out that it was twice as much as other specialty stores sell the same product for. I tried to return the product (unopened and unused) but they do not allow any returns. I would like to support local businesses, but 100+ percent mark up is offensive.

I have several pieces of furniture from this store and I’ve been happy with
the quality. They will finish it for you for a charge but I just do it myself to
save the $ and really like the results.
Most recently got one of there Dash and Albert rugs that I LOVE.

I have never encountered such a rude salesperson in my entire life. Could not pay me to buy from here. I do not think that they are interested in selling anything.

I thought this would be an inexpensive way to get quality furniture without the showy details. I was unpleasantly surprised when I walked into the store and found most of the products to be way past my budget.
Granted, all the furniture is real wood, and the store can order you custom furniture, fit for any Boulder Queen, but the prices just were not in my league. From the way the store presents itself, to the name of the store, I thought for sure this would be a great place to find a deal… Not necessarily a steal, just a deal. What a slap in the face! But I probably needed it.
