I didn’t get to spend a ton of time here, but there are some things that I really liked about Lamplight. In no particular order: – It’s a locals’ gallery, so you’re seeing stuff from, and supporting local artists. – It’s a co-op gallery, so artists are invested in its success. – There are a variety of media represented. I saw polymer clay, traditional paintings, photography, jewelry, and so on… – The nice lady running the place(manning the desk) was one of the artists whose work you see. See also, co-op gallery. – Nothing is terribly expensive. I mean, it’s original art so don’t go expecting to pick up a ton of cheap-o stuff, but even so, some of the smaller pieces and jewelry are really affordable. More local galleries like this would never be a bad thing!
