I’m finally out of this place and couldn’t be happier. In true keeping with my prior interactions with management and maintenance, this place was awful right up to the end. Most apartments will try to nickel and dime you when your lease is up — that much I expected. However, I did not expect the scheduling debacle this newest manager orchestrated. After several days of trying to pin her down for an inspection prior to my lease ending, I finally got a hold of her on the last possible day. She totaled some fees(all of which I could’ve prevented with an earlier inspection), and, much to my outrage, asked for a check to pay them. I payed a security deposit on this apartment, but through some contractual manipulation, prior managers somehow moved the HUNDREDS in fees I paid to initialize the lease to every possible fee category EXCEPT for the security deposit. To be honest, it’s worth it to me to just pay it and be done with these slumlords, which is probably precisely the business model they want at this point in the lease. Including these final fees, I payed approximately $ 375 dollars outside of the regular rent payments and utilities in expenses directly attributable to management and maintenance ignorance or greed. May Mill Hollow Apartments and its corporate overlords rot in hell.
