So fresh and tasty. I don’t understand all the negative reviews on here. We got the caramel chicken and Korean spicy beef bowl. They were both very delicious. The beef was better than the chicken. Both were just the right amount of spicy.

Not good. Both my wife’s and my meal were a cross between too uncooked and burnt. Won’t ever go back. Left our meals with only a few bites gone. Very disappointed.

Oh, I see. This place is a variation of Panda Express. Which is not bad, I do eating there now and again. The food wasn’t bad, nor was it something that I would go out of my way to have again.

Where you pei wei too much! I’ve given Pei Wei a chance wei too many times. It’s just bland. My Thai Dynamite was not dynamite. Shouldn’t something labeled ‘dynamite’ be exciting and/or spicy? It was basically sweet and sour chicken, and must have received the ‘Thai’ label due to having a few pieces of red bell peppers mixed in. I’ve made wei better Thai food in my tiny college dorm room.

Worst customer service I’ve had in Utah, or quite possibly anywhere, BUT, they do have good food. I love the Mongolian Chicken. I was about to try their Pad Thai, but I walked out beyond furious before I placed the order earlier this evening. I’ve never done that before, or even felt compelled to. Even McDonalds and 7⁄11 value my business more than these people. I walk in and stand at the register in the take-out section for probably 2 – 3 minutes while the kid behind the register doing nothing but staring off into space either doesn’t see me or ignores me. Not a big deal, totally forgivable. Well, then I speak up and ask him if I can place a to-go order and this guy gives me attitude, like how dare I bother him while he’s in his little«place.» Now, I’m a reasonable guy, and I’m incredibly slow to anger, but this guy pissed me off. At that point I knew the kid didn’t give a damn to be there, and the business doesn’t care enough to make sure their employees aren’t ass holes to their customers. I told the guy«never mind» and left. Deuces, Pei Wei. We’ll see if Boba World is more appreciative of my business.

Great food. Bad service. Staff is extremely slow and not trained well. Cleanliness in employees could be drastically improved. There was cat hair on one employee’s shirt and another employee shirt was covered in food. There should be more pride taken in their appearance and in training a staff available and capable to manage busy rushes.

This might be a long one. It’s like three reviews in one because I didn’t know a previous one(at the bottom) was in edit mode. Anyways… Two weeks ago, I phoned in for traditional lettuce wraps with no rice sticks(not a prefernce, I just can’t have them). I picked them up and thought, «You need to check it.» Of course I didn’t. Plus I didn’t want to use my fingers to dig through it. I got home and there were rice sticks on the bottom, even though the receipt said no rice sticks. I drove back and they refunded me and gave me a $ 10 Be Our Guest card. That was kind of them. I didn’t get anything else because it was a late lunch and by the time I drove back and forth, it was time for dinner. FF to last night. My husband and I went to use the $ 10 card. We waited in line for a while with only 4 people in front of us. We finally got up to the counter where we waited another 2 minutes for him to put change in the drawer. He then asked if we’ll be dinning in or taking out. We wanted to dine in. Then we looked around and saw EVERY single table was taken except two of the super high chairs at the high tables. He said there’s a place there, but I said(as I pointed to my 1.5 year old) she can’t sit up there. He said«We have high chairs.» I looked again at the height of the table and thought, «Yeah right.» I could only imagine sitting way up there trying to feed my kid 50 feet above her. I’d need a bomber plane to drop broccoli in her mouth. I said that won’t work. He said you can do take out. At this time I was already getting a little irritated because of my past few experiences coming together in my head. He was trying to be really nice and knew it wasn’t going well. He suggested we could do take out. So I said, ok. Then with a little grimace, he said, «I hate to give you more bad news, but the wait for take out is 30 minutes.» Uughhhhhh, seriously? I said ok, well just go somewhere else then, thanks. We walked out and I was steaming. I pulled my $ 10 gift card and gave it to a family that was walking in. I hope they enjoyed it, because I won’t be back. I’ve had so many annoying experiences at this location. I don’t know why I’ve subjected myself to it so many times. My Unilocal reviews would be nothing but Pei Wei, but honestly I want to give positive feedback once in a whike, so I have to review other businesses. We got in the car and went back and forth in agreement on what the hell is the difference from us doing take out or dinning in. Yes, I understand if you were to call in you have to wait, but we’re standing right there, ready to order to dine in, why can’t you just do the same and put it in a box versus a plate? If you can’t accommodate for the customers don’t ask if we want to stay or go. Just lock your doors and hang a sign that says«no vacancy». Get rid of the high chair tables. This location is too small for wasted/limited choice seating. I’d also have some sort of host ready to reserve a table before you stand in line to find out there’s no room. Review from 3 weeks ago: I was 1st in queue on the phone for take out and sat on hold for about 5 minutes. The longer I sat there, the better somewhere else sounded. So I just hung up and called Mandarin in Boutiful. There’s something different about this location than others I’ve been too. Not in a good way. I can’t put my finger on it. I do know the veggies are inconsistent. I’ll ask for extra and get pea pods, other times I’ll get broccoli, peas pods and carrots, and sometimes just carrots. Sometimes I won’t even ask and get some or all the extras. Giving my gift card away was liberating in the sense that I don’t have to and won’t come back. I feel so uptight after going there, everytime. Go to another location or just go somewhere else.

Disgraceful excuse for Kung Pao! Outrageously salty, almost no vegetables, no chili spice and the chicken was crispy. In 50 years of eating Kung Pao I have never had it this bad. I suspect they overcooked the chicken(way too long) in the soy sauce which made it tough and the entire dish to salty to eat. Service wasn’t good either. When I arrived there were five tables, four of which had food already and it still took 15 minutes for a small wok order. Really? Never again.

I am a fan of Pei Wei and usually get pretty good food when I go here, this location has also been a constant one in comparison to others though I will say that I think the Midvale location is the best. The biggest problem I have had with this location is the portion sizes have always been small. On our most recent visit by wife ordered the smaller portion size and I ordered the larger size of our respective dishes and although mine came on a bigger plate the portion of mine was actually smaller than hers. Basically mine was just barely covering the plate and not piled up where hers was piled high on the small plate, and I paid several dollars more than hers, that has happened a few times at this location. My biggest complaint with Pei Wei in general is that the price for what you get is way off, it is actually quite expensive for a takeout fast-food sort of place, and I get that it is basically its similar food to PF. Changs at a cheaper price, but seriously they are a bit pricey still.

First time we ordered take out from here our food was so incredibly salty and the small plates are very small!(Mongolian beef plate had 4 pieces of beef). Second time we ordered take out the food was less salty but instead didn’t seem to have very much flavor at all, one of our orders were wrong, and the regular size was still very small… I don’t need a TON but if you’re going to increase the price for the size make it slightly worth it. Probably won’t order from here again, inconsistent and disappointing.

Foods always good but the air conditioning was so high that it felt like a meat locker. It ruined the experience.

Kind of a sad day — always have loved the Pei Wei — will probably try it again and again hoping that it was a fluke. Ordered Mongolian beef w/extra mushrooms… It was so over sauced and goopy was not good… I was sad — this is the second time this has happened to me. The pork egg roll was good like always… The counter girl was a young girl who needs some people skills taught to her like chickfila or in and out employees — not her fault just needs some good direction.

Their kitchen was out of a lot of things so only half the menu was available to order, forgot to give us one of our orders, the food wasn’t very good. Won’t be coming back.

I love Pei Wei, but this location is absolutely terrible. I’ve been multiple times and thought maybe the poor customer service was just a fluke… but no, it’s always that bad. Haha. I called in an order to pick up. It took 4 minutes of me sitting in the take out waiting area to be acknowledged(they made eye contact with me when I walked in the door). I was told my order would be ready at 5, I arrived at 5. I paid and 15 minutes later asked the cashier if my order was ready yet. She did not remember speaking with me 15 minutes earlier… she said we were just waiting on the soup I ordered. The manager came over about 7 minutes later and I asked about my order again(How long does it take to make a cup of soup?), besides, my entrees were done and getting cold. The manager then proceeded to yell at the cashier in front of the rest of the staff and the waiting customers. She said she had asked the kitchen for the soup and it was coming(she looked close to tears at this point). I’d about had enough. I very calmly and politely asked the manager if I could get a refund. I explained that I had been waiting for a while past when I was told my order would be ready and that I was in a bit of a hurry to take the food to an event. I said I didn’t need the food anymore, I just wanted my money back so I could be on my way. The manager then argued with me and said they were very busy(including me, there were 5 customers in the entire place, 3 of which were waiting for takeout). This is when I started to put my foot down. I tried to remain respectful, but I insisted that he please refund my credit card since the food I ordered was yet to be presented and I found the customer service appalling. It was only then that he whipped around and grabbed my order… Which, by the way, had been sitting back there THEWHOLETIME. The manager said he would refund my card and I could just take the food, which I thought was an appropriate gesture, but not once was an apology offered for the inconvenience and horrible display of unprofessionalism. My food was of course cold and soggy, I was incredibly embarrassed for my guest, who I had ordered food for as well. The overall quality(or lack thereof) has lost this location a customer for life.

The service has been off on good and bad. There are a couple of supreme workers and others that are just so so. The food on a really good day is super delicious. Other days not so fresh and not as good. I always get the gluten free spicy chicken salad. And many times to go… I think my dressing has been missing about 40% of the time… And it’s the best part, so you really can’t enjoy it without it. I always call and they make up for it, but it’s such a pain!!!

TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE! I just got a take out spicy chicken salad and they forgot my dressing. This really makes me mad because I’m currently eating a dry salad and this is not the first time this has happened to me. My bad for going back, I won’t be doing that again. Also, I called to let them know what happened and the girl just responded with, «oh.»

Really not impressed. The only thing I found positive was that the sweet hostess arranged a table for us before we ordered. Party of 6 @ 6pm on Saturday night. Food came out at random intervals from 5 minutes after we sat to 20 minutes. Kind of annoying. My Asian Salad had moldy salad mixed in, the greens and chicken although well presented were flavorless, DOS was not enough for a well dressed salad. Thai soup was also flavorless but the single wonton in it was nice. Orange chicken had gorgeous pieces of plump, clean chicken with really hearty brown rice. Looked and tasted great. Would not be surprised if that chicken was absolutely pumped full of antibiotics and GMO, but was so hungry I didn’t care tonight. Tomorrow, I’ll cleanse. Kids got steak LoMein and it was also clean and juicy meat, but not well seasoned noodles. I won’t come back but in a pinch I would stick with carbs in here, since they are not well versed in proper salad creations.

Another problematic visit to this Pei Wei. I have been going to this location for approximately four years. The last two years or so have been nothing but problems. I usually order the same thing, pad Thai with extra vegetables and lettuce wraps. Sometimes they forget to add certain ingredients in my pad Thai, such as tofu, which is standard, and once even the chicken! Sometimes they don’t add the peas and a few times I have not received my extra vegetables. I have spoken to managers about this problem, they have had a few. I have received multiple free meals, and free dish cards, but the problem is never fixed. One time, the manager even told me to ask for her when I came in so she could come out and make the order herself! This does not fix the problem in the kitchen! Today I called in an order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, the place was like the zoo on a free day… so packed! Many people were waiting for their orders. I ended up waiting an extra 25 minutes past my pick up time. When I mentioned this to the young lady at the counter, she said they got real busy all of a sudden. That shouldn’t make a difference if my order was put in before they got busy, right? Then she said she would tell a manager. When I told her that doesn’t help me, she nicely said, «Maybe it will next time.» One last thing, the chicken lettuce wraps tonight were in the skimpy side. We only got what looked like a half order. I hope they can turn this place around.

Most everything on the menu is «fine». Not great, not too bad. However, the only time we eat there is when I get a promo sent to my email. If they’re offering me a free entrée, or 25% off my order, it’s a «go». I wouldn’t pay full-price for their offerings. I do like that you can place a take-out order online. That’s one thing they have going for them. Another thing that’s positive for Pei Wei is their lettuce wraps. I ordered them as my entrée, and they were tasty. I was given enough lettuce to finish the ground chicken filling. Definitely a pro. The sauce they gave me to pour on my lettuce wraps was ridiculous salty. I stayed away. My lettuce wraps were fine au naturale. My husband had the Mongolian steak with brown rice. He said it was merely OK. He always used to order the Dan Dan Noodles, but he said that the last few times he’s had them, they didn’t taste very good. My kids really liked their kids Wei noodles & chicken. I ordered a side of chicken fried rice too. But nobody wanted to touch it. The rice was too crunchy for anyone’s taste. Pei Wei did the job, and got dinner on the table for under $ 20. It’s not a success I’ll replicate on a regular basis. But I won’t swear off of it forever, either.
