Food is ok. Usually kind of bland. The menu is to large. They need to concentrate on less items and be really good instead of trying to offer everything and just being ok. Never tried the beer. Maybe I should, after 5 or 6 the food might taste better. It’d make it a little easier for me to pay the bill too. ;)

If they weren’t so pricey I would have given a better review. Honestly they could have better food selections and add outdoor seating!

Seated in the dining room for the first time in a very long time. Forgot how loud it is in here. The service doesn’t seem to be as good as the bar area either. But for a Thursday night it’s packed. Food is usually good but over priced. It’s the only show in town and they know it.

always such a great spot! Great service tonight from Taylor and the food was outstanding! The Ribs my parents got were falling off the bone… my husbands steak was amazing and the Thai lettuce wraps were soooooo yummy!!! Best place in town

Recently moved to Bourbonnais and I’ve been here 4 or 5 times. Everything I’ve had here tasted great and was done perfectly, from wings to the Prime Rib Sandwich, Tilapia, Mahi Mahi and the side dishes. Friends I’ve taken here have all said the same. It does get crowded on Friday nights; got there at 5:30PM once and we had a 20 minute wait for a table for two. Wasn’t expecting that, but it is probably the best place to eat in Bourbonnais so next time on the weekend evenings, I’ll make reservations.

Great waitress. We got the lobster mac and cheese, saganaki, and piña colada bread pudding. While the Mac and cheese and saganaki were exceptionally good, the bread pudding failed to remain memorable. I’d definitely come back here especially given how there’s very few unique places in the area. :)

This review is overdue. We came to BrickStone for some food and a cold one after a hot day at Bears camp. I guess not too surprisingly, many others had the same idea that we did because the place was pretty packed. After a 10 – 15 minute wait, the four of us were seated. Our waitress wasn’t super attentive, but I’m willing to chalk it up to the place being really busy. We didn’t mind too much, since we were with friends. It did take a bit of time to have our drink order taken, but I think the biggest disappointment was that the restaurant was out of many of the beers we tried to order. We were given some samples to help us decide what beer to order, but I was disappointed to miss out on a few great-sounding beers. The food took a while to come out, again, because it was so busy, and it was OK, not bad, not great. I would stop in if I was in the area, but I wouldn’t make a special trip. I did notice that I’ve been seeing more BrickStone beer in stores in and around Chicago as of late. I’ll be buying some to try soon.

Brickstone is a breath of fresh air to an area filled with every chain restaurant and fast food drive thru you can name. They have a nice menu with a little bit of everything. I love their Country Chicken Salad and their dynamite shrimp appetizer. Take out here is quick and easy and still good. A big draw is the brewery. If you like microbrews check this place out. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant and bar area is huge. I’ve never had to wait for a seat even when it was packed.

Great burgers and good potato soup. Will be back if we are in the area, We were there at an off hour so it wasn’t crowded. I think I would avoid prime time. I’m not a beer drinker, but my lunch companions enjoyed theirs, so there you have it.

The food was decent, I would eat here again solely based on their food and good customer service. I was a little disappointed in their beer especially for being a brewery but whatever, their sampler and nachos were yummy.

This is a great place to eat! I have been here several times, and I am always satisfied with the service, food, and portion sizes. The prices will appear high, but the amount of food that you get will make it worth the price. I would recommend any of the burgers, and I have tried several other items on the menu. I have never went wrong with a choice. When we have visitors from out of town this is a great place to bring them to. The wait may be long, but it is worth it, so if you have the time just wait it out!

Love this place! Delicious food & I always have a lot of left overs to take home with me! Been here on a date with my husband and also with large group of ladies on a girls night out a while back! :) At times it can be VERYLOUD when super busy but lunch times are always very reasonable when considering the noise in the restaurant!

Very enjoyable evening altogether. From the moment we walked in the door and the greeters said hello, were very friendly and talkative. We were seated in the back of a very busy restaurant. Our waitress Sam was very informed and helpful with the many questions we had as this was our first time here. She answered everything with a smile and was very attentive but not overwhelming. I had a flight of beers and she even brought a little more of my favorite 2. The dinners were very good and we probably shouldn’t have ordered appetizers but we did. It was also very good. We had buffalo chicken rolls, good for fried food. Both of us had soup. Also above average. My wife had balsamic chicken which she said was wonderful but I didn’t try. I had jambalaya which was very good, actually better than most. Definitely recommended and we will be returning. Also extra thanks to Sam our waitress for making our dining experience fun and enjoyable. From a couple who tends to get and sometimes expect bad service, you were a pleasure. Keep it up. Still really enjoy myself at this place. My boyfriend and myself work on the road — we always try to find somewhere(wherever we may be) that feels comfortable for us to go to at least once a week where we can get a seat at the bar, order drinks, eat food, watch baseball or football and just relax. We have been in the area for 7 months and The Brickstone has become that place for us as well as for many of the people that we work with. The staff is so friendly, fast, and attentive that it made it such an easy choice for us to come here again and again. It seems like they know when we enter the building and have a drink ready by the time we get up to the bar. They are all such nice people, always have good conversation, and are always knowledgeable about everything on their menus. Stratten(spelling?) and Lacy are my favorite bartenders — we always hope they will be our bartenders(all the bartenders are great, regardless). I would say that the food at Brickstone is easily the best bar food you can get in the Bourbannais/Bradley/Kankakee and even Manteno area. The BBQ Bacon Jam burger has totally been my jam lately. Also been getting the classic Greek salad and some flaming Saganaki cheese a lot lately. Really good stuff. Had a coworkers birthday gathering there about a month ago and they brought him out a piece of cheesecake on the house — thought that was really nice. It was also nice and appreciated that they didn’t do an annoying dance, clap, song, show thing to go along with it. haha…

I’ve had enough of Brickstone. There was a time when I’d recommended it any chance I got. That was before they gave up on their brewpub and put all their effort into their distribution/canning operation. The food is mediocre. The beer is good but they almost never have the brew you want. The service is almost always poor and they never want to give any answers about why they don’t have any of their beers on tap. I was once told they only had two taps because their head-brewer was on vacation. WTF? This last time they didn’t have the APA or HopSkip or Cherry Bomb or the Belgo-IPA. The mini sliders were pathetic(see photo). This is no longer a brewery or a brew pub or anything else resembling a place where you can go to enjoy craft beer and/or good food. For shame!

My friend and I needed a place to meet halfway from Chicago and Champaign and a quick Google search found us en route to BrickStone Brewery. We were both pleasantly pleased at our random find, our expectations were not high, but it far exceeded our expectations. It’s gorgeous you guys! Perfect décor, she said it reminded her of Kona Grill and it also brought up memories of Granite City. We sat outside on the enclosed patio to enjoy the cool last few days of summer. I love the windows opened up fully with no screens. Plus there were some very cute guys in the place. :-) Food was delicious — her burger was humongous and I ordered the honey chicken which was fantastic. The mixed veggies were great, heavy on the garlic but I can appreciate it. And the mashed potatoes were great as well. I also had a Moscow Mule which was tasty, I missed the lime/garnish in it though. I should have ordered a beer which given it being a brewery would have probably been better; but after the day I had at work, a cocktail sounded better. Prices were very reasonable… all said and done I spent around $ 30 with tip. Which is fantastic for a huge dinner and a cocktail. It might be pricey for the area, but I definitely would have paid way more in Chicago or Detroit where I’m from. I’m sad that she’s leaving Champaign and we only discovered this place her last week living there. This would have been the perfect meetup spot halfway between our places. I will definitely keep this in mind on road trips between my home in Chicago and my family’s homes in Southern Illinois /St Louis area.

Stopped by Brickstone while in town. Had heard good things and was eager to try their craft beer. The appearance is beautiful and rustic, there’s even a beer still on display. They didn’t have all of their advertised beers which was a shame. But the one that was available tasted delicious. For an appetizer we had the buffalo chicken rolls which were fantastic. The french fries here have got to be some of the best in the world, not even exaggerating. But their burgers are subpar. I suppose the only negative aspect was the service. Our waiter took a long time to take our order… then came back to confirm the order because he couldn’t read his own handwriting. Then afterwards hardly came by at all. We weren’t very upset since we were mostly chatting the entire time but if someone was there just for a meal it might be a little frustrating. I would definitely come back to try their many other dishes and beer.

Excellent food both in quality and selection. They are a brewery, so, they have their own craft beer which changes with the season. My favorite is the Irish Red, but it’s not always available. My favorite dish is the pork chops. Grilled to perfection with mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley… it is wonderful! Only downside, it is hard to hear in the main dining room. The acoustics are horrible, but I didn’t come here to talk, I came to eat and drink, and that was great.

We came for the Bloody Mary bar. On Sundays they run a promo where you pay for your vodka and then you can choose your own mix and garnishes. They have a lot of nice garnishes to choose from, everything from pickles and olives to shrimp and salami. My boyfriend and I like our Bloody Marys loaded with toppings so for us the Bloody Mary bar gets an A+. We also got a couple of appetizers. The buffalo chicken rolls were awesome but the loaded potato chips were just okay. Service was very friends but overall definitely on the slow side. Our waitress was attentive but it seemed to take a long time to get anything done. We will definitely will be back for Bloody Mary’s and maybe next time we will try entrees.

Good food, good beer, all under one roof. Thats a rarity for Bourbonnais. Awesome salads, appetizers are spot on, oh and the Cherry Ale. WOW. A little on the noisy side, so hard to carry on a convo at the dinner table on the weekends.(literally my only complaint.) Friendly, accommodating staff. Brickstone…5 stars, hands down…
