Great little BBQ joint in Bourbonnais. Love the brisket in particular. Staff is friendly and efficient.

So happy that there’s a delivery restaurant that isn’t a pizza place! I shared a combo plate with brisket and ribs with a friend, and we were pretty happy with it. The brisket was a bit fatty, but the ribs were good. Our small side of baked beans was really good. Remember to order BBQ sauce on the side, as it was not included in the meal(which bummed me out). Overall, I would order from them again.

What a cluster fuck. Avoid this place and go to Bulls BBQ. AREYOUSERIOSLYTELLINGMEAT6:37p.m. on a Friday night and you have no rib tips?!? OF the half order of tips you were able to put together, two huge pieces were sternum bone. See the attached picture… do you know what this means? As an experienced chef and restaurant owner I will tell you… thus means these tips are the lowest grade of pork that money can buy. These literally are the cheapest, lowest grade of meat. Is this restaurant a front for a walter white drug money laundering scheme? Repeated visits to this place and each time my order is wrong. I walk out and get in the car and no sides I paid for, and no sauce in the bag? I understand you have to keep things lean six sigma and whatnot but damn. Ribs are tiny bones and are fatty on the inside, dry on the outside and the bark slides right off the meat. This means that this twenty dollar slab of ribs finished cooking this a.m. and had been sitting in a heat box for about 10 hours. Ugh. Go get some prepackaged ribs from Jewel and microwave them. You will have a better experience. No no even better… go to Coyote canyon and get ribs that have been steaming and sitting in a steam table for about four hours. You people want them falling off the bone… you got it… shitty crockpot ribs are better than this grade of meat and grade of service.

Never had a complaint, my favorite is the chicken, tender, juicy and full of flavor. Ranch potatoes are a must have side choice. Everything is top notch from brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken you really can’t go wrong.

Love this place. It’s such a authentic southern environment! The food is great, and the actual restaurant is clean and cute! The prices are very affordable, and the menu has all the BBQ you could ever want! Definitely a great local stop for anybody passing through

Had to give this fantastic bbq eatery a much deserved update. The food here is as good as bbq gets. I come to the Bradley-Bourbonnais area monthly for business and the highlight is always having lunch here. Today I had their«sliders», one pulled pork and one beef brisket, and they were melt in my mouth delish. The ranch potatoes and green beans were fresh and tasty. Best place to indulge your tastebuds when in B&B! Friendly quick service too.

I travel a lot for work and this time I found myself in Bourbonnais, IL. I was searching Unilocal for a decent bite to eat, namely some bbq beef brisket. Thought it might be a long shot since I live in the south but saw Jimmy Jo’s and their rating so I’d give it a try. Glad I did because they do brisket the right way. Nice pink-to-red smoke ring on the outer edges, and the excellent rub makes a good bark for the edges. Tender, generous cuts and not dry at all. Their house sauce is excellent as well. I will definitely be back for more.

Loved the pulled pork tender and just enough smoke. Beans were great. The Cole slaw was good.

I hate to be «that person» but I wasn’t impressed. They don’t even serve their sandwiches on buns, it’s just stale white bread on the side. Their sauce tasted like ketchup. Won’t be back.

Good BBQ in Bourbonnais? Believe it. I’ve ordered carry-out twice, trying a sandwich I haven’t seen on any other menu: the Cowboy-Style Pork Sandwich(pulled pork topped with guacamole). With pulled pork, the key to success is making sure it’s tender and moist versus dried out and chewy, and luckily Jimmy Jo’s is the former. The recipe is a keeper! I’m also a fan of the Loaded Baked Potato, which is STUFFED with shredded pork or brisket. It’s a meal in itself. Don’t be plagued by the chains, Bourbonnais Unilocalers: remember to support a good local business like Jimmy Jo’s!

My brother was holed up in his apartment because of foot surgery and couldn’t move so I had Jimmy’s deliver a full rack of ribs and a side of Mac and cheese and potato salad to his place. He absolutely loved it! Friendly staff and reasonable prices for what you get!

Just stopped for lunch and the brisket was truly outstanding! We are a little obsessed with BBQ and I would say it was some of the best BBQ we’ve had outisde of Mississippi. They have three different kinds of sauces and I was thrilled that they offer a delicious vinegar based North Carolina sauce– my favorite and impossible to find! I thought the sides were plenty big– hey, BBQ is about the meat not the sides! The meat portions are huge and we were impressed by the prices. We liked it so well that we are bringing home 4 lbs of meat and some buns for a small party we are attending tomorrow– I’m sure it’ll be a big hit!

Best brisket i have had in chicago. Ribs were a little dry but good smoke. Pulled pork moist and smokey but could be hotter. Ranch potatoes a good side but pass on the chili side. Hot link delicious. Good sauces both texas style and sweet kc style. Worth the trip alone for the briscuit. Very happy with the food. Nice place, a little dark due to few windows but nice bbq joint.

Went here today around 3 pm with my wife and adult daughter. We were very disappointed! BBQ pork was very dry and no flavor. Brisket was very fatty, had no taste, but it was moist(due to all of the fat). Wife and daughter had BBQ sandwiches and I had BBQ pork and brisket meal. For sides the gals had the ranch potatoes and thought they were«OK». I had the slaw and potato salad and both were very good. The potato salad had big cubes of potato that were firm, not mushy, just the way I like it. Unfortunately we came for the meat and it fell very short on our expectations. We are big BBQ fans and know our BBQ and this product was very poor.

The first time I went to Jimmy Jo’s, I had no idea what to order. A friend told me to get their loaded baked potato. Every time after that, I always ordered the loaded baked potato with pulled pork. Only recently have I ventured out and tried more items — my favorite being the Cowboy, which is a pulled pork sandwich with guacamole. It is equally as delicious. The meat is always so tender and flavorful and I don’t think I’ve had a bad meal yet. One downside though is that the website is not up to date with their current menu. I got my heart set on a «french dip» sandwich with pulled pork and au jus. However, it was taken off the menu awhile ago(according to whomever was working at the time) but they have gotten a lot of requests to bring it back. Well, the requests are probably from people that like to look at the menu online before going. Side items — I loved the ranch potatoes, which are just diced potatoes with ranch. They were very soft and well-seasoned. I’ve also tried the cole slaw and potato salad and thought they were only okay. Overall, I give them 4 because I think the quality of food you receive is worth the price paid. With a few minor improvements, they could definitely hit the 5 star mark.

For someone who is not a big BBQ person I love Jimmy Jo’s beef brisket. I’ve been here a few times and it has been delicious every single time. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff has always been friendly. I really like the«tater salad» and the ranch potatoes are ok. I would def recommend to anyone looking for a delicious and quick lunch or a nice sit down dinner.

I am a fan of Jimmy Jo’s! Not the greatest BBQ I have ever been to but it is up there. Especially for the area it is in. I went with the pulled pork and had a side of chili. Both were great. The pulled pork was very flavorful and when I but the sweet Chicago style BBQ sauce on it, it really livened it up. It wasn’t needed, but I liked it on there. The chili had a kick to it but wasn’t too strong. Good amount of meat which I like. Overall I liked this place and will go back if I am in the area.

Best meal in Bourbonnais! 2 of us shared the sampler platter, which had brisket, chicken, pulled pork, Texas hot link, turkey breast, and I think rib tips(plus 2 small sides)… for just under $ 20!!! 3 sauces on each table to experiment with. Tons of delicious food, the brisket being the most amazing part.
