The elected Bourne Selectmen who maintain the pinnacle of stubborness that is the terrible Bourne Rotary should be stoned in the streets. There will be no shortage of volunteers.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How many more hours? This is the worst traffic ever! Check out that weaving line of 8 miles of backup now that we have crested the hill! Dad, pull over to pee.
Every single Friday and Saturday in the summer getting on or off of the Cape equals miles of backed up traffic that should be avoided. The neighboring Sagamore Bridge’s traffic woes are virtually eliminated by their Sagamore bridge «Flyover».
A Bourne Bridge Flyover would save tens of thousands of tourists hours of headaches every weekend. Of course the Selectmen know this, but they are beholden to the local Bourne business assocition who want to force you to stop in their blighted area.
It is not like there has been a lack of Build America Bond construction dough bankrupting our nation. Vote the selectmen out, demand a Bourne Bridge flyover, or suck it up on the rotary!
