I rented Riverside Retreat with my boyfriend for the weekend and loved it. The cabin smelled awesome and we enjoyed the hot tub. They have a great set of DVDs to watch. We cooked there and all pots and pans seemed new and clean. The dishwasher was key for cleanup. It’s nice that the Allegany trail is near the creek for easy access to hiking. It’s a short drive to other trails. I would definitely stay here again. Make sure you do research of the area before coming due to lack of cell service. It was nice being phone free for a few days!

A large(14 people) group of my friends and I decided we wanted to rent a cabin for a weekend. A friend of mine recommended Glady Fork cabins and I’m so glad they did, bc we had a fantastic time! These are NOT rustic cabins. We had THEBESTTIME. There are only 2 cons: 1. This place is a 4 hr drive from Pittsburgh 2. They say all the cabins are within walking distance of each other, our group was large and we rented 2 cabins. They were pretty far apart. It was February. For drunk people it was a long and icy walk between cabins. WINS: 1. Holy hell are these cabins nice! We had the Sportsmans Lodge, which sleeps 6 and was so nice and large and open, and we had the River Otter Lodge, which was new constructions and really nice, but it was also two stories. We liked the open plan better. 2. So freaking clean. No musty cabin smell. These are very, very, very nice and maintained cabins. 3. They all have hot tubs. Nice hot tubs. HOTTUBS 4. Fully equipped kitchens, right down to coffee makers and toasters 5. Grills & fire rings 6. Beautiful woods, lots of hiking! We’re planning another trip for the fall which should be beautiful 7. Excellent for stargazing… we have a few amateur astronomers If you’re looking for a great weekend getaway, I highly recommend these cabins.
