Locomex

Owner verbally abuses and makes «innuendos» towards waitresses in front of customers. Not a good atmosphere especially with below average food. Would not recommend! Some of the waitresses there should hire a good lawyer!

We love locomex. Friday and Saturday nights they have entertainment. They have arcade style games at the bar to entertain the kids. I love the red devil dip and the fajitas are excellent! We have been going since they opened and never disappointed.

We were in town visiting family and they took us here for dinner. The sangrias were awesome! If you are planning on having more 1 get the carafe or half carafe — much better deal. The cheese dip was nothing special. Tasted like one of those you buy at the grocery and heat at home. Salsa was very flavorful and had lots of spice (too much for my friend) but I like it a little spicy. My complaint on that was that the salsa was too watery and the chips were paper thin so they broke easily anytime you tried to dip. I had a grilled shrimp taco salad. It was good with lots of guacamole and sour cream on top. Next time I would ask for less sour cream and more cheese. There was very little. The lettuce, tomatoes and peppers were fresh and crisp. The shell was delicious. You could tell it was fresh also. My complaint on the salad was that it had rice in the bottom instead of the beans most taco salads have and there were few shrimp.
My boyfriend had a dish with chicken, shrimp and cheese sauce over rice .he said it was very good. I think it was the Polo Mexi? There was live music and the performers were very good. Probably the first time I’ve been in a Mexican restaurant with a sports bar feel, definitely different! At one point the entire place was singing along to Garth Brooks, David Allen Coe and Hank Jr. Really a fun time. Only downside was the service. Took an hour to get food, they did keep the drinks coming so the issue was the kitchen and we were having fun. But if you were on a schedule or wanting a quiet family meal — this is not the place. Lots of loud locals having fun.
