Applebee’s

I haven’t been to Applebee’s in many years. No reason, there are just so many other options.
I went with my fiancé and another couple at approx. 6:30pm on a Saturday evening. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted and seated immediately at a nice booth. Soon after our waiter arrived. He had a great personality, and we enjoyed bantering with him. Unfortunately, he was a little slow in bringing our drinks and food.
For drinks, I had a Mango Jalapeño Rita, which was delicious with that extra spiciness from the jalapeño. I had the Sriracha Shrimp for starters — not too spicy and just a little sweetness made them delicious. I originally ordered the Green Bean Crispers, but they didn’t have anymore. Bummer! I remembered how good they were from my first visit to Applebee’s.
The reason for the 3 stars is mainly because of my entre, the loaded brisket enchiladas. The menu featured three long, loaded enchiladas with lots of rice and sauce. However, I received a dollop of rice with two flat enchiladas. Don’t get me wrong, the flavor was good. I just couldn’t get over the skimpiness of the entre. You’ll see the difference between what was advertised and what I received in the pictures I added to this review.
I will give them another try.

worst service i have ever experienced!

Got here at 11:30 am for lunch with the bible study ladies. We got our drinks after 35 minutes and they just received their food at 1:05 pm. I had to cancel my order completely because I dont believe I have to sit and wait here this long for lunch. Not a great experience. Service has gone down, compared to all the other times our groups has come in to eat lunch. Big difference, maybe new management? Will be going somewhere else for lunch. Much less than we expected.

This is by far the best Applebee’s around make sure you stop in and have a bite to eat. Ask for Teri she will take very good care of you.

Much less than what I would expect from Applebee’s. We visited here while in town for the weekend. First off, the gentleman at the front asked how many and then walked away. He started cleaning tables and doing other stuff without saying «that will be a –minute wait». When we finally were seated, we ordered a kids meal and appetizers to start. It took 20+ minutes to bring out the one of the apps, which had to be sent back because it was wrong. I also was told two of the items I ordered for dinner were not available. When I finally got my apps 45 minutes later, it was cold and subpar. We spent almost two hours here and walked away with just one app we ordered and the kids meal!
Overall it was a disaster. We saw a guy cleaning a table and putting food into a plastic bag. My food was also delivered to me by someone carrying a broom in one hand. Considering my table and the two others around us were all waiting a substantial amount of time, would say it’s not worth it. The timing of bringing the food out was just really off. The table next to me was told that one persons food was ready and sitting in the window while they were preparing the other food for the table. Which is fine if the other food was being cooked in a timely manner. Who wants food that has sat in a window for 30+ minutes. Our waitress tried her best though. That was the ONLY positive. I really hope that this was just a bad night and not how things are usually run.

Excellent service. Best Hamburger I’ve had in a chain restaurant ever. Go for the house chips.

They truly know how to treat Veterans & Active Duty Military. The food, appetizers nachos and wings were tasty and more than enough. We enjoyed the ribs which were meaty and fried shrimp which were large and did not taste frozen. The school cadets were a nice touch to welcome the Veterans & Active Duty Military. They even performed a drill while we were eating. It was standing room only, but we were seated in a timely manner. The hostess and waitress were delightful. We plan to return very soon. Thanks for making this Veterans Day very special.

Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews, it’s either staff members or relatives of the staff members. This place is atrocious. The food is disgusting. I ordered a bbq burger and the bbq sauce tasted and looked like motor oil.
My wife’s chicken tenders where all breading. We bout felt nauseated after leaving there.
First be last time I will ever go here.

If I was interested in piss in a glass they would get 4 stars, but the get one for the worst Long Island drink I’ve ever had in life. The shrimp was ok but I may have been really hungry. They have a bar but I doubt it has alcohol behind it because even my strawberry margarita tasted like strawberry syrup from IHOP. If you want to turn up here visit but come twisted because you won’t hold a buzz at this bar. It’s clear that the pope is serving drinks at Applebee’s on Thursday night and is using slight of hand with the alcohol. Damn the worst. I’ll drink at home then visit for Karaōke, at least that was entertaining

Stopped here hoping for a quick bite and we were horribly disappointed! It was about 2pm on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty so we had high hopes. The waiter came quickly at first for our drink order however it took forever for them to arrive (2 milks, a water, and soda) and they didn’t even arrive together. First the milks but no straws, which greatly upset our children. Then several minutes later, the water and soda and thankfully straws. He had to make an additional trip for the lemon for my water. He took our food order a short time after. The food took forever. My husband got pasta, I got a salad, and the kids got Mac & cheese and grilled cheese– nothing that should haven’t taken a long time, especially since there were only about 8 other tables taken in the whole restaurant. The kids food came first, which is fine, then ours. The food was not brought by our server which always kind of bothers me. The server also didn’t clear dishes and took forever for anything, not just for our table but the other 3 tables he had. He was constantly forgetting things then was no where to be found. What are you doing if you don’t bring out the food or clear tables? I mean, come on! Anyway, the food was mediocre at best. When we finished, it took about 20 minutes to get our check. Just get me out of here!!! Another thing worth noting was the sudden invasion of ants on the table. I killed at least 8 while we were there. That’s disgusting. There was a small pile of dead ants. The bathrooms were also not clean, which is especially an issue when you have young kids. I will never, ever go back here and I suggest others stay far away!

This was the worst Applebee’s I have ever been to had to wait for ever for everything. When they brought out my appetizer my meal came 2 mins after. I sware the cook did not know his menu, my meal wasn’t even close to what it was suppose to be… so glad I don’t live in the area was just passing through, I will keep on passing if I’m ever back up this way… Gross Food.

This past Thursday my boyfriend and I decided to go to applebees down the street from our house. We avoid applebees due to the low customer service but today we gave it a shot and were very surprised.
Our waiter Jalen was awesome, he explained the specials and ways we could get the most for our buck. At the end he gave us to go boxes and sauce for out leftovers and continued to check on us throughout.
We will definitely go back.

We hadn’t been to an Applebee’s in a while so on a whim went here as we’d had good experiences in the past at others. Well, it was pretty uneven here: while the food was good enough — meatballs, mashed potatoes, house salad, onion soup, tomato-​basil soup, margarita, pineapple juice and milk and chocolate cake for dessert, all of which cost us $ 52 plus tip) — there were a couple things we didn’t like at all. (1) The table was just slimy and dirty and we cleaned it off ourselves first. (2) One of the toilets in the women’s bathroom was either broken or whatever and it was just covered over with hand towels, door left open and no sign, floor wet in some places (icky, is this how they handle messes in the kitchen?). Service was a bit uneven too (had to ask for water twice), but everything came all at once as we asked for it that way, and we liked that and the server checked back with us and cleared items away and brought dessert quickly, etc. On the better side the background music was great and the place is wheelchair accessible (including bathrooms). Due to the slime/​bathroom things, I just get the idea that there is slack management here so it’s doubtful we’ll be back (as worried about hygiene in the kitchen!).

This place sucks. We’ve been here nearly an hour and they have yet to rectify the messed up drinks order or get anything else out. The server ignored us for 15 minutes, let us know it would be few more minutes, then left for another fifteen. Place is only 20% fill but staff cannot seem to manage. We went to bar to get our own waters. We haven’t eaten a thing except onion rings. Oh, the drinks just arrived.
I seem to recall we stopped here last year after an event and wasn’t impressed with the service. I would have walked out 20 min ago if I weren’t with a group. I remember also why it appeared we weren’t being served and that pattern seems to be recurring. I’d say why but I’d get flamed and investigated.
Never again.

This place is great! My first time here just so happened to be… karaōke night! It was so fun! FOOD is delicious. Staff here sucks!!! Obnoxious and loud. Super UNPROFESSIONAL. Needs better training. Other than the staff issue, experience was good! I will definitely be going to Applebees again but next time maybe I’ll go to Largo. :-)

If you like really sub par food with below average taste with low quality ingredients. Then CrappleBees is for you. Did I mention, it is gross.

I almost hate to give a review as I didn’t eat much. I had some dental work that day and really could only eat soup. So I can really only review that and the service. But as you can see from the 4 stars I was a happy camper! I had the Tomato Basil soup and it was delish. I don’t remember what Hubs had but it was so terrible he ate every bite! :-)
Our server was Justin and he was fantastic. It was a good 1^st time here and we’ll be back! Hopefully the good service isn’t just limited to Justin.

My ‘spot’ for late night food and drinks cheap (and quick).
The service overall is always quick and polite (I usually visit for the late night happy-​hour).
The drinks can be somewhat weak, but being they are only a few bucks just drink more :-)

I’m moving from Bowie and now have a mission to hit all the sit-​down restaurants in the town that I lived in for over 40 years, even if they are chains. I’ve avoided this chain since I’ve been to others and wasn’t too impressed. It pretty much hasn’t changed. Mediocre to average food. Service was quick and good. My waiter was definitely attentive in refilling my drink even though it was a busy night. Kudos to him. I didn’t realize, but it was karaōke night, although it could be every night. Problem with karaōke is that people are bad and listening to them makes me want to hurl. I ate my food as quick as I could so I could give my poor ears a chance to rest.

I hadn’t been to Applebees in a long time when I decided to stop into this one. It was convenient to where my wife and I were shopping and it was time for lunch.
For some reason their fryer wasn’t working so they couldn’t serve any fried food. Think french fries or fried shrimp or fish. On the whole, that was probably a good thing. What the Missus and I ended up getting wasn’t fried, anyway.
Steak and potatoes for me and salmon for the Missus.
Both dishes were fine. I don’t expect five star haute cuisine from Applebees. What I did get satisfied my hunger. The waitress was friendly and came back to refill drinks and check in from time to time without being overbearing.
For my money, this place is way better than Rip’s right down the street.
